  1. As long as the splash guard is in place you shouldnt have an issue, i would rather buy another filter as a spare at that price lol. I use a cheap £15 ebay jobbie and never had an issue, looks similar to yours, so same principal design.
  2. Click in the classified link in the menu bar in the header and you will see New listing. Have you filled in your details? You will need to do this to post or purchase.
  3. Are you sure the gearbox is whining and not the dif? I can hear the whine from cold more from the rear of the car than under the front of the tunnel, my other issue is the sort of rattle when the clutch is out in neutral, i put clutch in and it goes, i fitted new release bearing when i did the gearbox nearly 2 years ago although im still not counting that out as at least a partial culprit. Also i get a raise in revs when i engage the clutch and when i disengage its almost like something is catching or creating load, which it never used to do. Again this is in neutral and not when put into gear.
  4. Does the stick have an overdrive button?
  5. Its only an issue if you have wound back the mileage to up the price of a sale, so committing fraud basically. You can change the mileage on the odometer to the equivalent in miles, take a pic of the before and after reading with time stamp as proof to any future owner what was done. As said the MOT tester will only write down what he sees on the odometer and although mileage will look different from previous MOT certificates, this is where the time stamped pic comes in handy to show the change. So not illegal as long as when you come to sell you are honest
  6. From what i have researched so far, i have the same issue lol, it seems that the gearbox needs stripping from the back right through to the input shaft, apparently bearing needs pressing in/out, also a couple of other bearings worth replacing whilst in the thick of it. You can see the bearing with the front plate off inside the bell housing, but chances are you aint gonna get it out. Jeff may have some experience on this and hopefully will post to confirm.
  7. Totally useless and more likely an OLED, the new flexible led technology creating a screen, which i bet other things can be programmed to be displayed lol
  8. Welcome to the club, fyi, just left click the url in PB it will copy, then paste here in a thread and hey presto
  9. Sorry to hear that mate, but at least you are going to do something productive with the sale in terms of investing in a property. All the best for the future and hope it goes well for you :thumbup1:
  10. Glad you went for her in the end, hope you enjoy and welcome to the club
  11. Ok just read Jeff's reply in the other thread, PM your address and i will send off the ecu on Monday registered post so you can at least eliminate the ECU issue.
  12. I have a feeling you may have an issue with one of the solenoids in the gearbox rather than the box itself being knackered, give Jeff a ring, he has dealt with this sort of issue before and rather than all of us second guessing and you pulling your hair out, its worth a try. The ecu should work on either, its basically the same car engine wise, although the UK auto doesnt have the power button on the selector surround.
  13. Auto TT? If Paul doesnt have one, i can lend you one from my UK auto TT, which i will need back lol, but its sorn at the moment and until i get my N/A sprayed it wont be going anywhere, anytime soon. The engine runs sweet as a nut, so i know that everything is as it should be, let me know if you dont get one to purchase.
  14. Are you after the gearbox ECU? i may have my old one if i can find it in my shed, if it is and i can find it you can have it :thumbup1:
  15. Do you mean the 4th May? lol
  16. As Steams stated, its called a proxy bid, where the system will automatically bid upto your highest amount entered, so if someone wants an item and lets say, think its worth £100 to them and the bidding starts at £20, whatever amount you put in as a bid on the same item, will automatically outbid you up to the highest bid placed by the first bidder, in this case £100, so you would have to bid £101 or whatever increment set at the time to win the item.
  17. Welcome to the club and good luck with your new project :thumbup1:
  18. Happy Birthday Gaz
  19. Technology eh, im sure something can be done, but a company wont touch it unless there are big numbers to warrant the R&D
