  3. :happybday: congrats on your big 40 :happybday:
  4. The car looks great, youve put alot of effort into getting it to where it is now, but i love the garage lol, plenty of room to work.
  5. The simple answer to what the bypass does:the water pipes under the plenum go to and return from the underside of the throttle bodies, so basically you are stopping the water feed, by redirecting the pipes away from the plenum to maintain a flow around the engine. The 2 top little pipes that come from the rear of the plenum are no longer used, so you create a loop basically. Daves pics: In this pic you can do away with a long hose and the steel pipe and connect it to the pass turbo feed. So the top 2 pipes that connected to the plenum now route directly to the turbos without the spagetti of pipwork
  6. :lol::lol: I wasnt far off:1eye:
  7. I love that, looks the nuts. How come you got rid of it?
  8. I dont notice it when i pull away, only when i brake, so from back to front. I will have a look to see if there are any bung holes bunged up lol
  9. I dont think batty bangor is a good name change to be honest, are you sure thats what you want:lol:
  10. When i brake, i hear a rush of water on my passenger side. Sounds like its inside the sill, i have the rear interior out, stuck my hand down as far as i can reach and feels dry. Carpet and floor is dry. Is it likely that its got into the sill somehow?
  11. Cool, would love to do some of those gigs :winkiss: Really quiet on the corporate front, having to get on the phone myself now lol, to chase work as the office who are suposed to work on my behalf are also finding it tough. To be honest its tough everywhere, but as you know entertainment is one of the first luxuries to go. Glad its going well for you, maybe come the summer you might want another zed. Cheers Graham
  12. Thats a good price, didnt even think of looking on ebay lol and apart from here i bloody live on ebay.
  13. Congratulations to you both, kiss goodbye to zed-dom
  14. String wise, it can be down to personal preference, but i would never go back to ernie ball. I used them for years until i discovered the Dean Markley then the D'darrio's. I buy them from http://www.thomann.de in germany at a much cheaper price than strings in the UK. I find the D'darrio's last longer sound crisper and are hermetically sealed at the factory, so you are getting like a contaminent free string.
  15. I have mine relatively flat, adjust the saddles for each string in a slight arc, but if you need a slight bow, then it needs to bow in, rather than out. Over time, depending on how much its played, you will get slght fret wear, so the frets below the 7th fret are getting more worn than the ones above and as this happens, the string will tend to buzz of the upper frets more. You can get a flat block of wood with a bit of fine emery cloth and do whats called a fret dress, ie take a fine layer off the top of high frets or the frets you see that are causing the string to touch.
  16. I used Slinkys for years and about 10 years ago i changed to Dean Markley then onto D'darrio. I found the with the Ernie Balls, i was snapping top E's on a regular basis, even when i had a new Musicman guitar, this happened, so i sent the guitar back and told them i wasnt happy. They had the audacity to say i must play too hard  Any way i did some research and found that some of the string sets can be on the shelf for months before being sold and because they are loose in each packet, the air gets to them and they can have oxidisation, which when coupled with sweat, rots the string quicker, so i tried Dean Markley strings as they are hermetically sealed and dont see any air till you open the pack. Never had a problem since, with buzzing or string snapping. When you change strings, if they havent been done for a while, you should as par for the course, check the set up, saddles, intonation and neck. As the strings wear, they stretch, relaeasing the tension slightly placed upon the neck, so when you put on a new set at full tention, the settings are likely to change also. HTH

  19. I wouldnt risk it lol. Who you gigging with?
  20. Do you have your heater/climate on, when this happens? My belt needs tightening on the aircon pump and it squeals occasionally on start up when wet if the heater is on.
  21. Its the only bit of excitement we get :lol:
  22. A friend of mine works in Dubai and this is something thats happening daily and some of those pics dont give you the scale of some of the abandoned cars lol. Dubai used to be the place to be if you worked for a big corporate or construction etc.. but the minute you lose your job you have about 90 days to find another and if you cant support yourself you have to leave. No benefits or freeloading there lol. But the downfall of having stuff on tick as said above, you are not allowed by law to go into debt as its considered fraudulent/theft, so you would go to a debtors court to arrange how a debt would be paid, no way of paying means prison, which is why most people in trouble just leave everything behind and get out. I was there years ago and it was vibrant, OTT and fun, but as always, the fun dont last forever and the bubble burst, for now anyway.
  23. You can strip the material, but not the sections of the door, it is one card moulded. You can seperate the rear panels next to the seats.
  24. Goodwood house is a good option, or the racetrack, Lord March is a car nut, so would probably have no objections. New Forest has some lovely backdrops.
  25. If Jeff put it on a consult and said they were fine then, the readings would have been ok when they checked it in October. Check your temp sensor on the water inlet pipe for green stuff, we have had a lot of rain and snow since then.
