What Horn you using? and a thought of venture....
Buy a genuine timing belt, no point in scrimping on this part as its too important. The timing marks on the pulleys although there for reference only are pretty damn close, but ive seen some aftermarket belts with no timing marks on at all :nono: You will need to remove the water pipes (hoses and hard pipe) to get the timing cover off, you will have more room by removing the rad and viscous fan. As said plenty of write ups and pics in the tech section.

What did you blank the egr with?
IIRC the penny is welded to the inside of the nut from the EGR pipe and not to the stainless manifold itself. Post a wanted thread up for an old EGR nut, im sure there are plenty around lol

What did you blank the egr with?
I cut the pipe on the egr pipe to get the nut off and had the hole welded, screw straight into manifold, job done.

over fueling bad running
What filter do you have fitted? Ive come across a similar problem, where the filter was not allowing enough air to be metered, changed the filter to apexi type (copy) and idled nicely and revved well.

Solicitors in the club?
Have you not got a solicitors local to you, the good thing about having one close to you, is that when they drag their feet, you can go and hound them in person

Solicitors in the club?
I wouldn't go with the mortgage companies recommendation, get your own. They all pretend to do a load of searches and conveyancing when in fact most of them get the secretaries to do it and charge accordingly lol.

In court tomorrow and after some advice
Hearsay, no hard evidence, so as suggested say little and deny it, they have to prove beyond all reasonable doubt and judging by what you have said, i am really surprised its gone this far. Statement :undercover policeman said he was stood at the opposite side of the road as I came to a stop at the junction and he could see into my car and I was texting. The highlighted is what got you to court and you can prove that you hadnt texted, they will try anything to change the wording to make the charge fit and save face. What i will say though, is the cps wont prosecute any case if they feel they dont have a 99.9% chance of winning, so think very carefully that you have covered all angles.

NZR help with insuring my stepdaughter
I know what you mean bud, its called fronting, sorted a company now, in her name, still £1200 but after a year it will go down by nearly £400 and she gets a chance to build her own NC. I found a company called Premium choice, specifically designed for young lady and young drivers in general. I tried a multicar policy combining my NC, but still a horrendous price, especially as i only £37 a month.

NZR help with insuring my stepdaughter
Getting another car isnt an option at the moment really as we got the Mazda in may and just got it through the MOT and i bought another for spares. Its a shame she doesnt have the money to pay in one lump as paying monthly hikes up the overall cost.

NZR help with insuring my stepdaughter
I tried both Dave, even offering a higher voluntary excess, but they wont allow too high an excess because it will outweigh the price of the car.

NZR help with insuring my stepdaughter
Having got the other halfs daughter a car for passing her test, the hard part comes to insuring her. Some of the prices ive been quoted are over £1500, its a Mazda 323f 1996, so 1.5 engine, cheap to tax and run, she is 22 and passed her test last month. Only £200 for me on my own, but that doesnt help lol. I tried to get quotes with me being the named driver and adding her as an additional driver, but still comes in at £1400 as i cant use my own NCB, not transferable to another vehicle while im using it on mine. Even if i could it comes in at over £700 Tried her on her own and getting similar prices, absolutely crazy. In some instances, me insuring it in my name and her being the main driver apparently is called fronting and will not be legal.:glare: Its no wonder young drivers sometimes dont bother being insured, the fine is less  So who has had a similar problem and any easier route to take? Look forward to advice. Cheers Graham
