  1. I would do away with the rusting pieces of crap they call bulb holders and mount a nice white led strip in there and you would never have to worry again about failing an mot on a stupid plate bulb out. Like this and can be cut down every 3 leds, either mount it on a flat plate pointing down or directly to the underside of the bumper recess. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-x-Xenon-White-30cm-18-SMD-LED-Flexible-Strip-Light-Car-Van-12V-Super-Bright-/161103653804?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item258286abac
  2. I sort of miss the kickdown, probably being lazy lol, but it does handle better and more controllable, im pleased i did the conversion though.

  7. Take your wiper switch apart and check the contacts, you may have a dodgy switch. There are 3 lugs to prize apart and switch comes apart, be careful not to lose the ball bearing at the rear of the white plastic rod of the switch, thats what makes the click noise, but more importantly keeps the switch in position. The two wipes at finish is standard, on intermittent the wiper sits at a low position on the screen, then off goes to rest, which is below the normal working home level.

  11. Plug gaps should be 1.1mm, so you may be having a problem with the spark, but more likely to be a dodgy wire on one of the coil pack connectors. With the series 2 ptu, did ou hard wire it or use the harness that came with it? Have you got another ECU to try, you may not have a problem with the coil pack plugs directly but with how the ecu is interpreting the signal.

  13. As long as its insured you should be fine subject to the statement below, however i would check with your insurance company for their advice, as a contradiction in terms seems to be that if the vehicle isnt taxed or mot'd then the insurance is invalid, having said that ive done it a few times with different cars lol "Driving an untaxed vehicle to an MOT test You can drive your vehicle to and from a pre-arranged test at an MOT test station provided you have adequate insurance cover in place for the use of that vehicle. This also applies to vehicles being driven to and from a prearranged test at a Vehicle Inspection Check (VIC) test station, an approved weight testing station and reduced pollution test."
  14. Welcome to the club and look forward to seeing you at a southern meet.
  15. Sorry for the delay Brandon, so much going on at the moment, be back to you in a little while. Cheers Graham
  16. Blimey mate, you've gone through the mill and back by the sounds of it, fingers crossed you can see the end of it all and all goes well after the OP. By the way you are not boring us with the updates lol, its good to get it off your chest and have us to help take your mind off it.
  17. Im sure he sold it, but dont know who too, im sure he will fill you in when he sees this post.
  18. Welcome back bud, yes RX8, you either get a good one or a shit one and theres not much in between, shame they cos they look nice but they can be more unreliable than a zed lol and more costly to fix when the engine goes tits up.
  19. Cracking job there Rose, i wish my other half was practical to help me with the zed lol, i like the hazard switch re location, the OEM is probably the worst design on the zed and plan to get rid of my rickety switch soon and nice to see something different in the dash vent area.
  20. Still looks great though mate, im sure it will colour sand and polish out, cut back on the air pressure a tad to lessen the orange peel effect, you will get some orange peeling on most spray jobs, is the wet sand and polish that gets the glass like finish.
  21. Im gutted too mate, its my time away from it all being with a load of like minded people, zedheads lol. And so looking forward to seeing some of the mods you guys have done on your cars over the year. Im sure the OP will be fine, just wished the NHS had got the timing better lol
  22. Fill the rad to the top of the cap and get the engine up to temp, once the thermostat has opened it will need some more coolant added, have the heater on full as this allows the valve on the heater matrix to open and allow more water through, again top us as necessary, once the level looks stable either raise the front of the car or park up a slight incline facing uphill, this will force any air in the system to rise to the top and with the cap back on open the bleed valve until all air is expelled. Fill the overflow tank to H with coolant and as long as all the air is out thats it. The overflow tank will draw from the rad or siphon back as required.
  23. Hope you had a great day Steve, Happy Birthday
  24. Not zed shocks unfortunately so save your pennies lol, stock pic below
  25. They come on with the sidelights or should do lol unless someone has had a play to be drl.
