  1. Guessing that you have Windows XP. Call up Command prompt from accessories; type chkdsk /f and press 'Enter'. In Accessories call up Disc Tools and click Disk Cleanup Try Defrag - get it to see if it's needed. Right click in bottom bar and call up Task Manager, click Processes and see what's running. Do you have AVG Anti-virus?
  2. Konrad! No reflector = M.O.T. test fail.
  3. IF they are original tyres they need replacing. Any tyre older than 6 years needs binning.
  4. Nar, the bucket on the roof is for when you want to dip your headlights.
  5. Have you looked here http://www.300zx-twinturbo.com/cgi-bin/manual.cgi in torque setting?
  6. Look here: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/precatstech.html
  7. I should have said 18". Oops. This the set that I bought from AD in the FS section. Rears have 265.35 and have plenty of tread. (One wheel may be useless - very badly kerbed.) Fronts were supposed have 4/5mm tread but not true; one is about 3mm and the other illegal - canvas showing. I have a pair of 225.40.18 and a pair of 245.35.18 in stock. Either 225 on 219 rims or 245 on 219 rims (or get rid of both pairs and buy 235.40.18)
  8. Bin the standard filter and fit an Apexi induction kit. Some nice 18" wheels. De-cat and stainless steel exhaust. Mebbe some shiny bits under the bonnet. and...and...and...
  9. Useful article here: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/precatstech.html Stuart (smw1) has done it and said that he will post info on his site. (Not there yet 'tho.)
  10. Just acquired Momo Arrows 8.5" for front.... (10" for rear.) Existing 235.40 need changing. 225.40 or 245.35? Why? Thanx.
  11. You should not be losing water! Have you looked under the car while it's idling? Possibly a small leak when the system is pressured that does not show otherwise. If there is no sign of it leaking from rad, pipes or joints then it sounds like it could be leaking into the cylinder/s and so exiting via exhaust. Unreliable? don't think so.
  12. Apexi came top in a recent group test.
  13. This has been dealt with before. WOM = waste of money.
  14. Listen to cj, he's right.....
  15. No problem - it's a typical warning that is found on a lot of after-market stuff. Are you planning to go to a high bhp?
  16. Have you tried running the onboard analysis?
  17. You need to have polyurethane bushes. And Pillow Ball tension rods (aka Rose) Heard good things about after-market roll bars - thicker steel and solid section.
  18. cf. What's the difference between a job and wife after ten years...... ........the jobs still sucks.

Can u get ISDN your way? How much d'u want to pay? Try broadband via satellite for terrific speed - but at a price.
  20. Hadn't even bothered to put the front wheels on the right way round. I see that the winning bidder has a -1 feedback. Rich - I like that deep red and your wheels look good too. Used to live up the road from you at Long Itchington.
  21. Iirc the rubber is different. In any case, if your tyres are over 6 years old then change them. Even if the tread looks ok. If you do not then you may well wish that you had. Worse, someone else may wish that you had.
  22. Nearside tyre pressure low? Brake binding?
  23. Laserline is good. 01925 406303 will give local agent. Make sure you get Thatcham grade 1 or 2.

"should i just enjoy the car for a year or so, get a bit of no claims and then move on to a TT?" YES and unless you have a lot of money spare, leave the TT 'til yr 25.
