JAP TT question?
'fraid not. Have a lot of goodies but not that one. I think that there is a way of making the system ignore the signal from the det sensor. If the sensor really have picked up Did you gap all the plugs correctly? Are they tightened correctly? Firing order correct? Could the timing have shifted?

JAP TT question?
Jim! Mine's fine now, it was just the contacts on the cas plug. Can you get at the det plug to remove it and give the contacts a gentle scrap with a miniature diamond file?

JAP TT question?
It's the det circuit so could be unit, loom or bad contact. Bugger of a job to replace but see here: http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=786419 Can you hear 'detting? Might be worth removing the earth from battery letting system rest for hr or so then refit and start.

falken tyres
Not used Falkens but just been looking at some prices, they seem suspiciously cheap. Caveat Emptor, you tend to get what you pay for.

Head removal
You picked a terrible time of year to be working outside!! You'll need some fingerless gloves and someone to bring you hot beverages. Y not beg, borrow, rent a garage?

Can someone do us a favour on the FAST CD?
If you are changing the bars then you'll do better to go for after-market units. Google search will find sources for you.

Hoist and stand for reasonable price from machinemart.

ecu socket
Conformal coating. If I hadn't just had a big clear out, I'd have sent you a socket f.o.c.

No, no don't do it! If you need to ask those questions then you do not have enough experience. Safer to pay someone else to do it!

Fitting Replacement Dials
Most likely that the needle is catching on the new disc. You have to make sure that it is completely flat. I used some spots of hot glue at points around the dial. I checked for high spots by blowing gently on the pointer to move it clockwise then back. 160 no use for TT!

Fitting Replacement Dials
You will find that if you move the rev counter needle to about the 4k mark you can slide the dial over the pointer. Carefully work the disk under the boss and then you will find that the hole in the disc will go over the tail end of the pointer. Similarly for the speedo; moving the pointer to a similar position as for the rev counter. Find the parking light feed to power the inverter. Did your speedo come with the right scale? Mine came showing only 160 m.p.h.

Doubt it. You could compromise and take the bits to a workshop to have bushes pressed in. Steering rack bushes tricky. You would be very bold to attempt these yourself unless you have access to a pit or lift. You wouldn't get under a car on a jack, would you??

Crank Angle Sensor.
I guess that it's that grey thing held on with three bolts at the front of the nearside bank. Q is it ok to remove that to get at the connection or better to remove the pipes above it and pull the connector off with the cas in situ?
