  1. Wheels painted and I picked them up today and 140 bolts later they're done ..
  2. Not ready and really not sure it will be!
  3. Well one cill has been welded and started to be filled but the other side isn't great. The rot is much worse than we thought so she may not make Japfest due to the time needed to weld so many bits :-( At least it'll all be cut out and done properly and with no winter driving and very little wet weather it will last a long time
  4. I know, that's my trouble, I keep pushing the limits. Been up since 7.30 and finishing cladding the garage and clearing everything else ready to dump it!
  5. Never ending, had my car 14 months, 41,500 miles and put about 3k on another!
  6. Spent last week helping the wife prepare her stand and stock for the RHS show and set up Thursday night as well as going to luton and back, worked the show Friday. Last weekend was a mix of the show and getting the car ready for paint/mot = 200 miles, went to Luton Tuesday morning, back last night, cleaned house as in laws arrived at 10 last night. Up at 4 this morning, flew to Glasgow to pick up the wife's new car and drove home for 5pm! Now have a weekend of DIY with the father in law before back to Luton on Monday.....:pinch:
  7. So the question is do I go white centres and black lips or white centre and polished lips? Car will be white with black carbon trim/spoiler
  8. Theme of the exterior is black and white, match the rear spoiler to !
  9. Progressed a bit more tonight, all the bits fitted, side skirts, new clutch pin works a treat, handbrake now exists along with decent brakes ! Now looking sorry for its self as I've just stripped t again ready for paint !
  10. Thoughts guys? Going white with carbon rear spoiler, carbon Gtr bonnet vents and carbon scuttles and carbon look vinyl all the trims around the screen/roof etc. Should I do the roof black or go all white? If anyone fancies photoshopping it white .....
  11. More pics tomorrow, ran out of light!
  12. Made more progress in the few hours I've had although doesn't look much! All the lights and wiring fixed, rear strut brace fitted, one rear hub changed, brakes bled, longer clutch slave cylinder pin fitted, p/s bled and now moves under its own steam and stops! Fitted the rear spoiler, carbon from a car I'm sure you all know! Car will be white so what does everyone think of it?
  13. The Z is going white, so carbon GTR-35 bonnet vents or not?
  14. Do you remember Jeff the problem on my single turbo set up was the foam filter restricting airflow?
  15. Could buy my red flocked interior for £50 while you decide :x:
  16. Putting all the bits back on to makes sure it all goes together properly before painting, cut out rotten cill ready for welding
  17. Haven't driven mine for 18 months! Still maybe in 4 weeks!
  18. Never knew it was there tbh, window working now, my bad!
  19. The passenger side window isn't working on the switch or the drivers side switch. Checked with a spare motor and hat doesn't work so ruled that out. What else could it be, any ideas?
  20. Cheeky few hours work today, bled brake and clutch lines, remove rear hicas and fitted lockout bar. Original hicas rack bolts were a nightmare and put up a good fight!
  21. From a manufacturers point of view with new parts it boils down to 2 things; 1) How many will we sell to cover costs 2) Do I know what they need So from the SFS point of view unless I had a Z we wouldn't of developed the 5 new hose kits or scuttle panels. It's only because I know the cars and the club. Developing new parts cost time and money so we need to know we will make what you need and sell enough to cover these costs and make a profit. So how does this relate to how we can improve things, there is a long list of parts needed so maybe draw up a list and group them into product types like exhaust, panels, brakes etc and then decide what we need most be it upgrades or just to keep our cars going. Then maybe a newly appointed "Parts developer" approaches a manuafcturer of said parts to open dialog about what we need and what they can offer. We developed the scuttles as I know the OE ones rot and because of the group buy, that was enough to cover the set up but we now need to sell more to move into profit. We've developed loads of kits because clubs have approached us and started dialog and a GB develops, they get the parts, we sell enough to cover the set up. Bottom line is If they don't know about us they can't make it annd if we don't ask we don't get.
  22. Latest news is she lives, got loads done today, brake lines, clutch line, arch liners and exhaust all on and she runs! Pics soon
