  1. I know the one by the fuse box becomes spare as it was for the auto. I converted mine but fitted a manual fuse box loom so the connectors are the same.
  2. Pillar ones in mine and Si doesn't like the rest of the car either :tt2:
  3. Working on the house as usual and then refing two ice hockey games tomorrow.
  4. If you quote friend of Si they'll probably charge more ! :whistling:
  5. Or buy my engine set up for 4k  the rebuild was done by someone who is ok at it :whistling:
  6. Been all good so far, the engine is a Jimmer build with uprated parts.
  7. To be honest haven't compared the cost to buying a pair of uprated power but think it was cheaper but no easier as a 1st off. I would offer anyone help if they wanted to have a go or they can buy the package http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=141502  I can change the turbo in less than 30 minutes, I recon 2 days to transplant the hole lot into an empty engine bay. I needed to put some money into the house and get something more pratical so picked up a cheap EVO 4.
  8. Sure it's for autobox or hicas and not CC
  9. 4 bolts, V band clamp, oil feed and drain and 2 hose clips and out she comes!!
  10. It's mine and as Car mad says it was a TT but I wanted to do something different, I always do with cars. I like the challenge of getting big power with something 'off the wall' It's nice to say I have the only single turbo converted TT in the UK and with big power to boot!
  11. You'd be better off buying this one which is dyno poven ;)http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1893753.htm
  12. SFS Performance do them, I should know I developed them when I worked there!
  13. Not having a balance as the car is up for sale otherwise I would consider it while it's off.
  14. Going to tackle it in the next week or so, you need to dro the centre section of the exhaust and heat sheild to get at the prop. Not a hard job but will take a few hours I think. Paid £45 for the bearing.
  15. I have vibration at about 2k revs, worst in 3rd/4ft gear so had the car over a pit and theres alot of movement in the bearing. I got mine off hear, just put up a wanted post or try Mike Feeney.
  16. Once the prop is off how do you change the centre carrier bearing, not sure how to get it off the prop?
  17. Going for some other evo 17's so staying with wheels to suit but will keep the 16's so can put them back on now and then.
  18. Picked my 1st EVO and I am really pleased with it, had a good drive home. Not as quick as my Nissan 300zx but more driveable especially at low revs. Only 64k on the clock, going to get some new wheels and some carbon goodies. One question, still has a shorter band Jap panasonic radio which is really nice, can I do anything about it so I don't have to change it? What do you lot think of her??

  20. If offset is the problem and they are touching on the inside edges spacer them out.
  21. Fittng mine on the sandwich plate.
  22. Pics below, any other guesses??
  23. I think I have decided to sell the car at the end of the show season as it doesn't get the use she deserves. I have a few bits to tidy and finsih off but does anyone have any idea of a value as the engine conversion is a one off with big power? I may take a p/ex for something fun?
