  1. define struggle. Does it miss, or just seem to lack power?
  2. I'm running 18's with 265/35 and my speedo is surprisingly accurate when comparing to GPS, usually only 2-3 mph out at motorway speeds
  3. spend the money on getting the car running properly first!
  4. I'm just outside of Kingston
  5. gauge on the right is boost only, the display on the left lets you choose what else to monitor. Whole point of this setup was to avoid 7 extra gauges to watch, and the warning function will alert if they pass a threshold that i set. it can also record and playback sensor readings
  6. will that include how the IACV valve and TPS have been setup?
  7. the shift light is the defi warning light. Will light up if a sensor warning level triggers, but can also work as a shift light
  8. got around to finishing the install last weekend, only had the stuff since xmas! Monitoring boost, fuel pressure, oil temp, oil pressure, water temp & EGT, using the warning light as both master warning on the sensors and as a shift light :) shame about the flash in the last pic
  9. group buy 1) Mac1 2) Jaffa ... :D

try to find a urathene one if your cars lowered, or it will crack or get broken on speed bumps etc. That's another reason 99'spec ones are popular. I have a Wings West urathane one, and Stillen also do urathane bumpers.
  11. should have said, I would have come along too :D
  12. the GT28RS is the the same as the JWT 700BB and is quite laggy. But you can get the GT28RS with the smaller exaust hosing (0.64R) which makes it very similar to the HKS kit. The Z1 kit GT675RS uses this smaller setup.
  13. get the engine sorted first!
  14. stock on the graph is stage 5 so intake, exhaust, 1 bar boost, downpipes etc also, don't forget that the 16G's and 18G's have the greddy manifolds, rest are on stock manifolds. Now imagine how the 2530 line will look with decent manifolds in the package - shift the curve left a few 100 rpms and add 30-50bhp on top :D
  15. crap sorry, was supposed to say boost gauge!
  16. if you're concerned about performance, you should fit a boost controller to see how much boost you're running. Even if you borrow one and fit it temporarily you'll find if you have any leaks etc
  17. mine's a SWB one so it won't help you much, but if someone is building your cage and has done them before he should know where best to mount it
  18. when does it smoke?
  19. I have the rollbar for the SWB, had to cut a hole in the panel above the abs and the one on the opposite side. Just checked my records, paid £200 for the bar+shipping, then a month later paid £286 for duty, vat and delivery from heathrow to east london
  20. I have an autopower one for my SWB, the fit is excellent
  21. fit the boost controller & chip then up the boost, you'll be surprised at the difference that makes. Next stp will be turbo's, intercoolers & injectors. Depending on the size of turbos will dictate on how much internal work you need to do.

that's good then, but don't expect too much of a gain and you'll be alright. And at least you only have to worry about tubs later on.
  23. anybody mind me catching up with you at the 'ring :D will sort my own travel etc

to answer your question, yes you could. But, on stock turbos, they'd be minimal gains for the extra few psi you's be able to run. You'd need intercoolers and race gas to make a decent bhp increase. If on the other hand it was part of a bigger upgrade path then go ahead, consider as a stepping stone rather than a power mod. Bigger tubs & intercoolers will be needed as well as the injectors to see significant gains. That's why most people don't get bigger injectors and stay with upped boost as there's a lot of money involved before you start seeing any gains.
  25. good tires & decent suspension is what you need. I have Toyo's on the rear and once warm will hold full boost in 2nd, 1st is obviously a no go unless you want wheel spin :D
