  1. 4" here, most I've seen in London for a long time
  2. delimter is probably messing up the assisted power steering. 5 cylinders would explain why you think the auto is comparable to a manual ;)
  3. other than the wheels & brakes, the overall look is cheap ... white doesn't suit cars with panel gaps that big!
  4. bought my first one at 23 :) then swapped to a slicktop 18months later!
  5. Moving from 2+2 TT to a slicktop, similar mods (as I moved them over :)), both manual - little difference, if any, while crusing (only thing you do notice is it feels sportier and less GT like due to the cabin being smaller) - the slicktop is definately more nimble, it's more than a subtle change, you notice just going round roundabouts! - the slicktop also feels quicker with the same mods. If you look at the JTuner day a few years ago my slicktop was quickest though mods were similar to the other TT's (air filter, exhaust, ECU and 14psi boost) I've not driven a Targa SWB so can't comment.
  6. he's already swapped the injectors though.
  7. the rota's are cheap copies of the Nismo LM wheels
  8. downpipes do make a big difference, especially the 3" expansion ones from SpecialtyZ (Z1 sell them too). They make a huge difference to both spool up and overall power.
  9. If you can afford it, buy some MikeSmith manifolds to go with your setup, they'll make a big difference.
  10. ABS unit/pump is in the bin and new brake lines fitted direct from Master Cylinder to each caliper
  11. sorry, missed this post
  12. 4. Retro fit brake system (calipers,MC, ABS pump & ECU) from a modern car going back to Rob's point, even with the stoptech kit, you're still using an archaic ABS system
  13. I'm with you on this too, hence my ABS sitting in a bin somewhere!
  14. it think it was a vectra, not the Zed
  15. you should take a look at Stu's then (smw1) serious bargain now that he's reduced the price http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=117501
  16. I quite like the R8, looks seriously mean in person. Pictures don't really do it much justice and don't convey how low/wide it is
  17. did it pass an MOT in that state? mix matching calipers sounds like a right bodge.
  18. it's a free app, just download it from their website :)
  19. What was the outcome of this? Thinking about doing some work on my drive soon
  20. you should also be looking for wider rears, at least 9".
  21. yup, I've done the tt.net one
  22. yes, do a search ;) personally, I think the relocation of the PCV system is a better solution
  23. did the " 900hp " slicktop ever make it over here?
