Safest psi on stock internals
EGT is also impacted by timing so still a useful tool

Lol, look good. Even got myself a scissor jack at the weekend so I could get the car in the air to replace that oil line :)

Advice on preparation for boost upgrade...
you can either get yourself an AFR gauge to monitor yourself, or just pop over to a dyno for a power run (better). until then, I would stay off boost

Advice on preparation for boost upgrade...
you can, I would still be cautious with it until you get the fuelling checked

Safest psi on stock internals
silly thing to say, rich at idle doesn't mean anything about the fuelling under load
-
Safest psi on stock internals
as others have said, it's all down to the tune. Just go lo a local dyno and do a power run with them logging AFR, should give you the confidence you need

Exhaust Test pipes
test pipes are the same as decats, just another name for them.

Time Attack 2012
replaced the turbo oil line over the weekend, ordered a special stubby spanner to help (as advised by Jimmer) and we're motoring again :) It was a braided line but seems to have suffered from heat fatigue from previous failures.

what's the usual noise limit for CC? it was a 100db for japfest when I was there about 2yrs ago Had mine measured at Brands the other day and measured 96db static

My leak and steam is getting worse!
turbo or heater matrix feed I'd be more worried about the garage not understanding it and charging you for a load of unnecessary work. Get it transported to Zedworld, be cheaper in the long run!

My leak and steam is getting worse!
yup, don't drive like that, you'll end up overheating

best adjustable upper link arms
Z1 have released a new type of upper arm, not seen any feedback yet though

More Help plz!!! Fuel pump constantly on even with no key in the ignition???
Hi, the pump normally goes for 5 secs on ignition to build pressure in the system to make sure injectors deliver proper amount of fuel. Having the pump on all the time, though not a good thing, shouldn't make starting any harder other than a drain on the battery so it might crank slower.

photo's from Brands.

Finally getting it tuned - guess the power
The AMS manifolds won't work with his turbo's. What's your current setup in terms of downpipe, decats, centre section and back boxes, then we can better advise what you need

Finally getting it tuned - guess the power
Jeff is quite right, the basics have to be sorted before trying to unlock power, regardless of spec
-
Finally getting it tuned - guess the power
I would get the exhaust fixed first, the adjustable cam pulleys will unlock some power, but require an awful lot of tuning time to do it. I would also argue that with stock cams, it's not worth it.

Where`s the cold start valve? plz
I would try another coolent temp sensor, does the AC elec fan kick in at all? Had the same problem before, and if the sensor is goosed then it overfuels which makes cold starting difficult

Upper Link Adjustable Camber Arms
front adjustables used on the road should be seen as wear and tear items I'm afraid. Lots of threads in the US on this topic too.

Time Attack 2012
Bit of a long day yesterday (spotting a trend !) First off, down to Abbey Motorsport for conrner weighting and full alignment. Car Weighted in at 1371Kg with nearly full tank. Lost 96Kg since last time it was weighed there so heading the right direction Trundled over to Brands from there, and did the evening track session. First time at Brands so an interesting track to learn, so excuse any obious mistakes as I try to learn the track! Only did the one session though, after coming in for a cool down, it appear the drivers side turbo oil feed decided to split :( Started up to go back out on track and got smoke, pulled up and after letting engine cool some more I identified the leak by the jet of oil coming from it when engine was turned on! No damage to engine, but still meant I had to be recovered home. [video=youtube_share;QI7jiNjzNdQ]

the weight question
Dragging this up again as I'm at Abbey Motorsport and just had corner weights done again. New weight is 1371.5Kg so nearly 100Kg lost since last time :)

Time Attack 2012
time to revive this thread!! Car is back on the road, I've missed the Brands Hatch round as car wasn't going to be ready, then missed the double header at Anglesey due to funeral plans for someone in the family taking over. Anyhow, one fresh MOT later, picked up the car from Jimmer last Sunday, and promptly drove 400 miles to bed it all in - how's that for a vote of confidence! Didn't miss a beat :) Knockhill was a painful weekend, drove 1700 miles over the course of 4 days, to do 2 brief sessions on track. Popped a boost hose on the first run, then overheated on the second... sorted everything out after overheating and the engine was knocking so that was the end of the weekend  In an effort to stop blowing up forged engines (get's a bit expensive as that was my 3rd in 12mthns), I picked an old engine from Slick Pete that was a non runner but had good compression. I stripped it down to the short block at Jimmers while he worked on other cars, then handed it over to the master to reassemble with my bits on it. Started up with no problems. I've returned to stock viscous fan and stock oil cooling to trouble shoot the issues I had (though I'm pretty sure I've figured out the cause now). Last week I had a dyno session and now have a full map on base boost, only running 420rwhp, and resisted the urge to turn up the boost to preserve the bottom end. despite VTC not working, the car zips round to the limiter nicely and is fun to drive again. Have a shake down session at Brands Hatch on thursday evening to make sure that reliability has returned, then Trax on the Sunday. Between the two I'll either prove it's ready to compete or blow it up :) The other good news is that I've bought myself a GoPro, so should have some footage to share, wish me luck!
