  1. nah I just took him sideways
  2. look forward to seeing it on, should finish the kit off nicely! Don't worry about the dirt, I'd just washed mine this morning to make it more noticeable. James PS have you stoped smiling?? ;)
  3. he's been and gone I'm afraid, took my old bumper with him too :D Wide-arch kit is v.nice though, seems to sit happier on the car. Another good job by PPS - well once it's clean :p
  4. ouch!! You chould be able to sort the bumper out though with enough fibreglass, filler, and patience!! Good luck James
  5. LOL, don't know about that but it does 'feel' better, and you get a deeper exhaust note. Possibly the turbos's spool up quicker James
  6. Get that bumper sprayed up, give her a wash and get some pics on here!! I'm sure everyone else wants a look and I personally prefer them to the others. :D
  7. I'll let you know what Jaz's car is like tomorrow :D

Hi, welcome on board! There's a buyers guide on the the FAQ's section. Best thing to do is read as much as you can on here and other Z sites before going to view and test drive. Don't get suckered into buying the first one you see though as there are a couple of dogs around. If you can, buy from an established member on here as they will almost certainly have been looked after and you check their old posts to see what they've done. Also get someone who knows these cars to check it over before purchase. James PS be prepared to have a big grin on your face when you drive it :D PPS Was the insurance for an import as there are more of them around, higher insurance, less Service history, but usually fewer miles and no rust
  9. did you manage to get some more pics, wouldn't mind a look at these :D otherwise send me the originals and I'll resize for you

where are you based, I'm sure there are loads of people here that'll take you out for a little "spin", myself incuded if you're near
  11. thanks mate, going to have another go tomorrow :D Might try your technique with the angled wrench and scaffolding pole!!
  12. oil pressure, water temp are the other main ones then whatever takes your fancy!
  13. Ok, tried to replace both the sensors today. Using a crow's foot from a local store, (spanner head with 3/8 drive connector), and several extensions, u-joint and some piping that was lying around. Spent about an hour on the pass side as I'd read that was easiest, then removed bonnet to make life a little easier. Anyhow got fed up with that, so had a go at the drivers side and managed to do it!!! Spent the rest of the afternoon failing with the pass side again. My spanner doesn't move much then seems to get wedged against the nuts on the manifold - that or it slips off. Taking extension straight up. I think the only pipe left to remove is the A/C one so left that well alone. Any pearls of wisdom?? Zed is back together at the mo and running OK so at least I haven't broken anything yet :D Thanks, James

:D :D SRRAE - he's already checked for ECU codes and even opened up the PTU to check the internals so I reckon he knows where it is :D :D Sorry, couldn't help myself:p
  15. Thanks everyone, and I may take you up on your offer Stu! I did the gauges and bumper within a day of each other so probably didn't notice at the time. And this is so not the weather to break your a/c :D
  16. nice, out of interest what do you have to measure times etc James
  17. may have been a coincidence as I've just changed the front bumper too... ohh well :D
  18. ahh, fair enough, look forward to hearing what difference it's made.
  19. I'd say keep it an you now know what's been done to the car, and what's stopping the turbo's etc going on the next one... plus you'll never see most of the cash again, but if you keep the car at least you'll know where it's gone rather than down the pan. James
  20. Somehow I've managed to disconnect (or break) my ambient temp sensor when wiring my gauges up. The ambient tempereature is currently reading -86C so the air-con is useless at the moment :( I've used the A/C diagnositc to pin it down to the ambient sensor, but where the hell is it? :) All help appreciated as ever James
  21. looks good, but does it make a difference?? How can you not have gone for a quick blast? :D
  22. check this week's autocar, has an orange gallardo in it, yellow Boxter coupe on cover
