Yeah thats very true, i dont think the z gives an impression of speed like some performance stuff, but when you watch how quick the speedo goes up its unreal compared to the feeling your getting, especialy after the ton, it really surprises me:) :cool:

He says its not going as well as it was when he first got it, and being so unreliable i dont dispute that. He also says his mechanic slightly de tuned it due to the amount of times its broke down, and particularly because of one time overheating and blowing head gasket, what can de tune it, would it just be retarding the timing or something???, it certainly sounded healthy, no missing spluttering and went up high in revs v quickly. maybe its right or maybe its sour grapes, but he is also telling people i whooped him, and if it was retarded, how much diff would it make???? Any way im still rolling about laughing at wot tt tim said about vicky butler munterson "CLASS"

Have been having friendly banter with guy at work about his tvr and my datsun as he calls it, he has a 95 n reg griffith 500 5ltr 68 k full tvr history, and yes you guessed it tonight it finally happened, we left work at same time, and the inevitable happened. Ive driven his a few times b4 i got my tt, and to be honest i thought nothing could be quicker, its sound and feel are awesome. We went from 40, then almost a stand still then from 100, so a good measure. result; from 40 to 80 = same, standstill to 150 = same ish to 80 after 80 i was off, i gained about six car lengths ahead, couldnt believe it im still in awe, then again from 100 i was off again, up to 140 this time, same sort of gap When we stopped at rbout he shouted i think you got me, to which i couldnt resist shouting"yeah not bad for a datsun"

This may not sound nice but i have observed of late the 300 zx seems to be attracting saxo owners ???

I had my n/a for about a year before recently getting my tt, it was a manual and a swb with a ss zorst, and nothing out accelerated me in that year, a couple of things came close but i dont think anything won, they are a funny thing tho, they dont "feel" quick yet when you go up against a quick car and win you realise how quick they are, its the longest ive ever kept a car and i would happily have another one, there is so little to complain about with one they sound well go well look drop dead gorgeous(its a zed) are a tad better on fuel and definately handle better, my advice is get it and see, if you dont like it you can sell it, but i bet you dont want to part with it once you drive it hth

Yeah that should buy a decent one, but like anything you get what you pay for, my advice would be to check out a few to make comparisons as they can vary in condition dramaticaly

im getting a weird creaking noise, almost spooky very agitating, sounds internal in front of driver and to the left (dash area) but get this its worse if ive just washed it??? help am i haunted

Yeah do what andy suggests and get some puncture repair cannisters from halfords and remove the spare altogether, we are selling brand new 206 cc peugeots with these kits which take the place of a spare, so if its good enough for peugeot why not us, it would please nelson to remove some mass anyway eh

I know its clever and a good concept but after my na not having it and now im in tt which does, i can honestly say so far i would prefer not to have it it has no probs or faults and appears to work exactly as it should but seems less "planted" than my last one, i can feel ever so slightly the back end movig in, when i want it out?? i will try it for longer till i make my mind up but so far it feels less of a drivers car

Burf is it manual??, i know the autos are a lot slower in n/a form but depending which t5 you raced i think you should have won, you have 230 bhp, he has about 200 if i remember rightly, thats an 850 t5 anyways, im surprised he won volvos are noted for their weight

Hi phil, hows it going long time no see, sounds like your tps to me,(throttle position sensor), or you may just need throttle bodies cleaned out, not sure? does it feel like throttle going on and off a bit by itself, i replaced mine and it went away, but i replaced mine due to a big hesitation on pull off, the guys on here will keep you right tho. Where you living now, what you doing etc ???
