  1. well im not impressed, it let go in 3rd gear straight road but wet, maybe i was expecting too much eh? is this why people get traction control??
  2. cheers pete, thats quite refreshing, i will give it a good toasting tomorrow to see what the difference is, i kept the original tyres as they still had decent tread (just in case), i love going sideways but have had to react v quick, on a number of inopertune moments, whilst overtaking in straight line in the wet, and in the dry!! with the old kumho tyres on, and as they say power is nothing without control !!
  3. I was having major trouble keeping z on the road while accelerating due to a lack of traction, i have today stuck a set of goodyear F1s on to the rear, only managed to get my foot down once on the way back, overtaking in 3rd, it seemed to grip??? and it was wet!!,( normally it would fishtail even in fourth on same stretch)anyone else got these tyres ?
  4. i downloaded a couple of supposed spyware thingys from download.com but they never had a way of uninstalling them, wonder if thats anything to do with it im not aware of kazaa or kaZaa lite so dont think its that or any security patch
  5. mine was doing the same thing but it didnt matter whether you thrashed it and it was out the left bank but it has completely gone away and rectified itself i think it may have been a temp block in one of the breathers hth
  6. yeah thats what it was too much porn, defragged a while ago, maybe a week or 2 ago, but v little difference
  7. hmmm makes sense, right i need some good but sensibly priced tyres then, i have 17s and they are 265 on the rear40/17 is this a sensible size or should i consider wider or narrower?? as now is the time, oh by the way theyre a 10 inch rim
  8. Did he charge u???
  9. Just a quickie, my pc has become astonishingly slow, i bought it new 7 mths ago i have broadband and it was like lightning but seems to take an age now to respond or download stuff, in comparison to the way it was, im ok with pc,s to a degree but not majorly technical, i know alot of you are !! is there anything i can do or do i have to buy a memturbo or something like pc tune up, im reluctant as i feel quite sure theyre a con, any help would be lovely as its spoiling my 300zx pics n what have you fun;)
  10. smashing that:D
  11. sorry for delay they are KUMHO ECSTA ????????
  12. Thanks for that paul, i will post the make of the tyre as im not sure but think they are
  13. Right traction, how much traction am i loosing due to my tyres, dont get me wrong they are not slicks, but as the car is an import i would suspect as i aint changed them, that theyre a hard jap compound tyre, and i get very little traction: eg dry road, tyres warm, boot it in 2nd and all hell breaks out and it drifts sidewards wheelspinning!. If i boot it in the rain or wet conditions it will do this in 4th gear!!, now this is all well and good for the fun factor, but a bit aggravating when you want to make progress, so how much difference will diff tyres make, or am i wasting my money, am i wrong, maybe all non standard zeds are like this, will it have to be traction control, any help or thoughts much appreciated. Oh by the way im running about 14 psi
  14. Sounds good, how much does did all that set you back if u can excuse me being so nosey??, and how hard is it to work????
  15. I think you have too much time on your hands:confused:

  17. It turned out to be plugs, well one in particular!!!, they were bosh platinum tips, one of them had disintegrated!, well the hooky bit on the end that goes over the electrode had, it was about a quarter of the length of the others. new plugs are now in and im back to missile like performance again, thanks for all the replies. Would it have been caused by the dettonation? or are bosch sh$te plugs, i mean only a thou miles is a bit hopeless ????
  18. Gonna try some plugs in the morning, really appreciate the help, i was speaking to a friend with a cosworth who reckoned he only used to get about a thou miles out of his plugs on both his rs escort and his sierra, gonna be expensive if this is the case eh

It feels for all the world like a plug or two giving in on full load, do i buy new plugs ???? could it be possible to have eaten them so quick???
