Thanks quavey, ive just sat for ages watching the two take off together and i think its mine that has the edge, its so close that its unreal, they even sound same and you can hear them change at same revs, tried to gauge it off speedo, but then did it off revs and gear change and mine gets through second just like a hundreth of a second quicker, like i might have a wasps length on you at 90 haha, at least i know mines prob ok after that so cheers, much appreciated, id love to see the same kind of clip with a tuned auto just to see the difference tho

Oh by the way its absolutely standard bar a cat back ss exh and is on 18" rims now, not sure itd make any difference having either of these like, i suspect not

Hi 160 kmph is 100 mph, and that came up inbetween 13-14 secs with the advantage of a 18mph (30kph) start, so still a bit slow based on those times you gave , 0-60mph is coming up in 6 dead and 0-130kph takes 10 secs, obviously this is from my cam phone and not timed by tag heur but its fairly accurateish

Yea maybe your right, i tried just planting foot from 30kms and watched the speedo and to be fair it went up pretty quickly, in fact i videod it and from 30kms to 190 took just under 20 seconds, any of you guys timed yours, does this sound about right????????

jesus wish id never asked, lol, its only done 77000 kilometers and to drive you would believe it so id be amazed if rings were gone but for peace of mind il do it, can anyone think of something a bit less terminal and scary i can try before i kill my self

Been runnning my tt auto for a couple of months and only now have i really been able to open it up, bought it as i had a broken ankle and being an auto v easy to drive!, driving with a broke limb is an art form and i was only able to plod around when very nessessary, but now my casts off and strength is improving i have been able to do some "enthusiastic driving" and im not convinced by the performance? i ran a diag got code 55 all ok, replaced plugs, which looked new any way, i cant fault it to drive, no misfires or obvious faults, the boost gauge goes up high etc, but no huge feeling of boost, more like a smooth pick up which does increase as the revs go higher but none of the oomph i experienced in the other zs ive owned, dont get me wrong its not slow slow, just not what i expect from all those horsies, is there anything obvious i missed ? also it seems faster before fully warmed up (not that i advocate that just wanted too see) not clay cold tho!, and it seems quicker if u ease the throttle down rather than plant it??, sorry to blether on like but im frustrated!!! help!!!!!

I forgot how generaly well loved and lusted after these zxs are! i have only had it a week now and everyone has commented! from the guy at the mcdonalds window drv thru, to a lady who litteraly ran accross a busy road to catch me before i drove off, she asked what it was and would i look to see if it was on her "list", she gave me an A4 sheet that had nothing but exotica on it, lambos ferraris nobles an atom a load of porches then in brackets (not boxter) which amused me, unfortunately i was not on her list, but i was kind of flattered anyway for her to think it would be in amongst the big lads! turned out she did market research for a company about supercars and was as dissapointed as me that it wasnt on!! anyway just thought id share it

Imo throw that stupid spoiler in the bin incase any one else is silly enough to spoil a beautiful car, smooth the back end, get a body shop to paint the wheel spokes black same colour as the car, and the centres and it will prob make the wheels look bigger and blend better, thats all you need to do as your car is stunning, just my opinion !! but i think im right

Well it all seemed above board and the car is faultless to drive, other than near limit tyres all round, usual spoiler (cracked), bumpers need painted, and rip on drivers leather seat, the rest of it is brill, ice cold air con, no brake judder, box working good, boosts well, centre prop good and best of all no dreaded smoke?? and i got stuck in bad traffic on way back from getting it, moved about a mile in 45 mins on tickover in the heat and nothing, and i was watching for it with baited breath!! feels tight and smooth enough to believe the miles even, so does have lots of plus points, and i can make my way round sorting these other bits bit by bit till its right, but i only have green slip and mot till sept, i spoke to him briefly and he said he will sort it out when he gets home tonight, im still waiting!!! i will give him a week before i kick off!!!!!

Sorry to be thick but am i right in thinking that contraption on the bumper is so short sighted japs can see the front end and park?? How does it work???????, where is the switch???

Just bought a red auto 1989 tt reg B3 WLD, got it off ebay( real spur of the moment thing, saw it with 3 mins left to run lol) as i liked the look of it and i have a broken leg, ie Auto lol, but as it turns out the guy i got it off had only just bought it then sold it straight away? not sure if i trust him but car seems ok so far, just thought one of you guys might know it or even owned it, cheers Gavo

Ok, hi paul yes its me and glad you got your car how you like it, still say that yours is the fastest z i ever went in. And in response to karl if you had seen the 300 that drove past me which sparked this whole thing off i think you would prob agree with the ali G thing, it just looked tacky ill thought out and as though it had crashed into halfords window, absolutely no where near the standard of yours, but you did ask for my opinion which i gave honestly, i am in no way comparing yours with that as its quite frankly a different league and if you read my first post you will see that this is my gripe, not wanting to be too contradictory here but i can get away with a wide arch kit, but again properly done with wide alloys to suit, as my grandad always used to say if a jobs worth doing its worth doing properly :p

Karl it looks as tho a fortune has been spent on your car and im sure you love it, but personaly no i would not drive that car, just being honest mate :( for me its too much, but to your credit it looks as though it has been profesionaly done rather than slung together like some

Hi guys not been on here for a while as i sold my zed a while back, i do still hanker for another one, so when i started looking about at the prices and different cars on sale i was astounded and shocked at the amount of 300 zxs that have been "killed", i dont mean mechanicaly, i mean cosmeticaly, some are exceptionaly horrid, and i mean horrid embarrassing looking nasty boy racered looking heaps, awfull ali G style kits, poorly fitted sagging leather :xxx: aftermarket interiors in none matching colours which clash with the cars paint, awfull silver paint all over the dashboard, great big nasty sad embarassing stickers etc, whats going on?? just why, it reminds me of the golf advert where the boy racered golfs were actually crying. its sacrilidge it really is and i think it does nothing for the cars image, its turning so fast into a gary boy car that it puts you off owning one, seriously have a look about at some of the stuff advertised its so so sad, personally i think a nice straight level shiny example still looks the biz, even after all these years, a nice original one will put many modern cars to shame in the styling dept. dont get me wrong subtle changes to help the timeless lines they have, eg bigger but tastefull wheels, and white lenses is all you need to keep these what they are a SUPER car, am i alone on this one?? surely not, sorry like but its annoying!!!!!!!!
