Well with all the bad news about at the mo, thought id tell you all some good. MoT was due so sent it off, always nail biting stuff on an older car especially one with such expensive bits, when they came back i could see the fail sheet, heart pounding out i went to see how bad it was, headlamp level low, sidelight bulb, number plate bulb!!!!!!! yahoo, $30 quid inc test and shes thru, LONG LIVE THE ZED:D :D :D

Hand jobs are the best, good for the car too !! you cannot beat a good old fashioned hand job;) :D :D ;) :p

Well said jock and my thoughts entirely, in real life there is very little performance difference between stock 300 tt or na anyway, so for all the conceited tt drivers who think they are top of the crop and that the na should be sneered at or laughed at, stop it as its not big and its not clever, and it only makes you look mis informed, a missed gear a slow change, poor driving ability, a misfire, possibly even some rain and the n/a will come past you, i have a tt now but did have an na, and it gets my goat up when people twitter on about n/a s. Rant over i feel better now:D

i have a soft spot 4 these, thats the double of the one i had. It was the first car i actualy loved. lift off oversteer was immense, very predictable, im jel lol

ASK paul semco 32, he had his old one, (now mine) worked on there and was not at all impressed, to the point of taking it else where and paying again, they were trying to do clutch i believe but paul will tell u better hth

Yeah boll##ks to him, he cant even drive for gods sake, each time he tries he usualy spins out of control, so why should any one give a stuf about an OPINION an overweight pudden who cant drive anyway gives on a car??

Hear hear, i must say we watched this tonight and were amazed/ appalled at the way he, A. Neglected to thank the z owners for taking what can only be described as some fantastic looking cars along, B. was rude to them. C. ommiting to include the z32?? Obviously they were to be just ribbing the Z, maybe im glad no one spent the time and effort to take a z32 along as he didnt deserve any zs at all. For any of you who did go to his show reading this, i for one ignored his opinions and enjoyed seeing your cars, very tasty:cool:

It will cost you, and may or may not be cheap, but it doesnt matter, nothing matters when you are on your fave twisty road, t tops off sun shining and listening to one of the best sounding growl howl fssssssshht boosh woooop, and knowing its all yours and each time you drive it it feels better, oh and by the way it will always cost a lot in fuel as the novelty never ever wears off, and you end up taking the long way home again, ive had a lot of cars but NOTHING compares to this, just do it ;) :D ;)

well today i took off and cleaned all connectors on coils all ptu connections and the yellow temp sensor replaced the iridium plugs(it never seemed happy with them) with bosch platinum tips, then found that a lot of my boost was being lost thru loose hard pipes, mechanic did plugs and then suggested it a good idea to try it out round block, so i let him as he never charged to do the plugs, he came back 5 mins later with the biggest smile ive ever seen on his face, he was shouting "jesus thats just stupid that thing, i have never driven a car that looses traction in the dry in 2nd gear!!! i need to get one of those, thanks thats made my day", and i kind of knew it had done the trick, i dont know which of the things i did solved it or if it was a mix but by god it worked, thanks for the help :D

Ps thanks for that lymon, i had wiggled all connectors about but will now take them off and check and clean them

I have reset the ecu, it is no longer doing it and runs alot smoother, but some times it seems to pull like a train and other times just feels poor with i am sure a miss or a plug off or something at high revs, i really think the thing should be quicker than it is??, its had a set of iridium plugs fitted about two thou ago, how long would you expect to get out of these??

does anyone have any idea what would cause this?? i have checked all i can but wonder if im missing something obvious??

would that not just make one cylinder go off:confused:

Help, what do i do now, left work this pm and the car was ok, after about two miles it misfired and started to splutter and pop again:( , its not ticking over right about 300 rpm on what sounds like 2 cyls with the third occasionaly trying then going off. It sounds like a bag of shi*e, however put your foot down and all seems well? loads of accelleration and doesnt miss a beat?? soon as your off throttle its popping and banging in the exhaust, it feels like its really over fueling if that makes any sense, what can i check??? im having no luck at the minute? any help would be great.

Ok i got paulg,s spare ptu on this evening, on start up it seemed much smoother and sounded healthier altogether, went for drive to check and at low speed it was ok, soon as i put foot down a little the thing ran terrible but no cutting out, after trying a couple of times i noticed a loud hissing noise from under bonnet and the boost gauge was just over half way, a boost leak?? you bet it was!! :rolleyes: pass side blow off valve had fallen out of its socket, replaced it tried it again and she,s like a rocket again:D :D HUGE thanks to paul for all the help, gonna try itout again tommorrow and order new ptu from courtessy, im so relieved i had visions of being off road 4 ages too.

Do not let them ride it vijay, not even if they leave car keys, it happened to my friend and the car they left was stolen!!!, only way to do it is ask for the cash to hold while they ride it, this way A. you know theyre serious B if they go you got the money C If they drop it you use whats in your hand to pay for repair, if they are genuine they will not object to this at all and will understand, if they have a problem with it simply thank them politely, decline a test ride and bid them good day HTH;)

Its done this afew times now and seems to have been after ive not used it for a few days, i drove to petrol station about half amile away, no probs, as soon as i pull out onto dual carriageway it starts to kangaroo hop, nothing then everything then nothing, hazards on pull in try to start it, it starts but its not well, sounds like its on 3 cyls, i keep revving it then it just died, i wait a mo then try again, it revs and sounds fine for 10 seconds then popping and missing and then dead again, this goes on ages then as if by magic its ok, off i go to dads, i get a mile and its at it again then it chucs it:confused: , i ring AA, nice guy but not a clue? as it starts and runs sweet:rolleyes: , i drive home gently he follows, fine, then when he goes, i go up coast road to see at higher rpm, first it makes 6500, then miss pop splutter, i shut off try again, 4500 miss splutter, again 4000 misss splutter miss pop no more revs to be had, iridium plugs fitted 2 thou miles ago, original ptu tho, whatdya reckon, a sad zedder:( :( :(
