  1. Have always enjoyed reading your American exploits. Sounds like once again you have had a great time and the thread was a good read matey. Welcome back.
  2. Yeah, totally agree. Some loose their love of the ZED and others find it!

I will keenly keep an eye on this thread. I've taken my Zed abroad a number of times and love it. It's a bit too early for me to commit just yet due to work but i am defo interested. Might be worth asking a mod to move this thread to the National Events bucket where it won't get lost and will be easier to keep up to date with. Only a suggestion, but sounds great!!!
  4. Cheers Si and welcome back matey.
  5. Can someone help? How do you remove the rear windows. Do they have to be cut out or will a heat gun and patience help to remove? Also, has anyone ever removed the rear wing/ quater panels and seals from a shell if so, where did you cut from-to and are there any formers/stringers to be aware of? I want to save these parts for a future project/spares? Cheers.
  6. What are we going to do without this kind of help??? I truly hope the Zedworld legendary work continues when Jeff and the team leave for the sunnier climate. I'm sure it will but 'man', they are big shoes to fill. Great advice, great help, great result....brilliant! Suddenly, a 2000 mile round trip to Portugal and back doesn't seem that bad!!
  7. Oh boy, got caught up in the story line and hot chick!!! There is something so cool about the old classics that I believe is missing today. Do you remember.............. Blue Thunder Airwolf Knight Rider A-Team Street Hawk Manimal TJ and the Bear etc etc etc Good old Z there, something for the truly old school Zed owners.
  8. Looking really good there mate and yes you have applied the correct spray in the correct order. Great build thread, keep it up matey.
  9. As all the above Mark, good luck. Will be great also to see your expansion projects hopefully become reality in the future. Best of luck matey!!
  10. A well deserved retirement I would say. I wonder how many Zeds Jeff and the clan have saved and breathed life back into for customers over the years??? A big, BIG part of the Zed community is leaving................Well, Portugal...after 3000m miles round europe with no problems...Time for a 'Run to the Sun' Portugal style!!!! Who's in?? ROAD TRIP!! with Conzult in hand, lol.

LMAO, just read this mate. So sometime in this month, a meet and BBQ somewhere? Sounds good. Let me know your availability mate as I know weekend's are difficult

All sounding like good ideas. Z32bolt, isn't it a bit far to come? It would be great if we can organize something for July.
  13. Well saved! Good restoration and will easy last another 30 years now; they certainly don't make erm like that anymore. Nice.
  14. There's your answer, lol. Put it in an old paint tin.
  15. Yeah it's amazing that the local councils are making it increasingly difficult to get rid of any waste. For me, this just encourages fly tipping of which costs the council's bucket loads in clear up operations. They should at very least be more helpful and offer assistance and guidance.

With mid summer's day behind us and with the days now shortening, has anyone got any ideas for a small meet up somewhere? Summer won't be here for long peeps and nor will I as I have to move to Wales with work. I will/should be back at weekends though. Have a think and let me know????? Take, Tony.
  18. My friend, wow now that's what I call a comprehensive reply!!! Thank you very much a massive help and insight, just what we needed Steve. Many thanks again, Tony.
  19. I am after a bit of advice from those in the know please! Where is the best place to watch the racing at Silverstone. Unfortunately I am not privileged enough to afford the posh grand stand tickets and have to slum it, camping and finding a spot of grass to sit my ass on. If any of you have been to Silverstone, any advice would be great.
  20. Not seen the film; but I've just finished a petrol head book called 'One Careful Owner' where a lad tours around Europe and Britain and is a complete car nut. He mentions in the book that he was probably inspired by his dad who loved car's and owned a 300zx. I I must say I had a little wee when I read this. I said to the Mrs just as she was nodding off to sleep, look this book mentions a 300zx. She wasn't that impressed, must just be me!!!! Lol.
  21. Looks like sill area but has side skirt fitted
  22. Completley understand that, and with 4 wheel driven cars. I know a few Supra owners that run 18's on the front 19's on the back on the same profile tyre???.
  23. Out of curiosity, why do you opt for, or what are the reasons for running a lower/different profile tyre on the rear to that of the front?
  24. Not really anything else you can do. A smaller plate mounted on the front is the best option I think. You would have to trim down a standard plate and then still run the risk of getting pulled over by the police and it also wouldn't pass the MOT. Not much help really. http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_images/3/3222/3241/33054120047_large.jpg
  25. Could of been one of ours mate, flew home in one from Afghan not so long ago. Bloody big!!
