Wheel nut danger
As long as there is at least 1 1/2 threads showing past a nut then they are in safety. They are obviously not and that man is very lucky.

Classic Car Weekly
Nice one, gonna have to pop to Tesco now and get myself a copy. Well done to those involved.

I have all door rubbers and trim available if you are not able to fix the problem. Good luck though.

Front number plate
Number plates, letter size and the correct spacing between the letters is the law unfortunately. You could run the gauntlet but there is up to a £1000 fine. Check it the DVLA website. Looks nicer smaller.

power steering pump needed??
Not much of a help on the advice if you have bled the system. I have a pump available for a good price if needed although posting could be expensive as they are bloody heavy. Came off a TT auto 91.

Coil pack(?)
Could also be the PTU mate. Take off both plugs and clean the electrical connectors with a bit of wet n dry.. It might be something as simple as corrosion deposits

Zed is trying to smoke me out
As above, most defo matrix. The Primera uses an upgraded core matrix that fits the Zed, can't remember what model it is out of though. Sure someone on here will tell you.

Coil pack(?)
Another way to check the spark is to remove the coil pack, remove spark plug. Use a piece of wire and strip both ends to about 10cm. Put the spark plug back into the coil pack and rest somewhere shaded, wrap one end of the wire around the threaded part of the spark plug and the other end around the negative terminal of your battery. Get someone to 'turn the engine over' remembering that it will run like a dog with the plug missing. You should see a spark. No spark, check voltage.

MOT query Problem.
Mate, I had the same problem last year. It was because my plate has a 0 and an O and the system didn't have them the right way around. Dont know if you have zero's etc but it certainly mucks up the system, especially if the information 'in-putter' has made a typo. Also have been pulled twice by the Rozers because their license plate recognition system couldnt work my plate out. Go back to the garage as said and they will be able to help.

A silly question iv always pondered on...
LMFAO reading this post. Joely, now look what you done! The entire z community discussing whether the seating position is different due to material, country of origin etc and what it really boils down to is you didn't know where your knob was. Brilliant.

whats my car worth if i broke it?
Mate, I know how you feel and I have been following your plight for some time. I know that what I am about to say is easier said then done but, if you have a passion about your car and want to keep hold of it. If you want it for your pleasure and enjoy driving it when it is working as it should then don't break it. I have been in the same position as you like so many others on this forum. These cars are so well engineered that for the standard DIY mechanic there is only a hand full of jobs you can do unles you have full system knowledge. Fortunatley this forum and the people who use it will try their damnest to help you out with information and experience that they have gained through ownership but still will stuggle diagnose your issue without having a good old look at the car. IMHO and experience you cant take these cars to main stream garages as they just have not got the system knowledge on these cars and you will just continue to throw money at them. If the car means more to you than just transport, you need to get it to someone with that specialist knowledge. You know who will look after you and yes I know birmingham is a long way from your 'neck of the woods'. I really hope that you are able to stick with it. Too many are getting broke for peanuts but I do understand that it always comes down to money. Good luck matey.

Propshaft removal
I'll be honest mate, either way is going to need a bit of luck as you don't know the condition of the bearing. I would still go for the bearing though. Soak the bearing area with wd40 or another penetrating oil and allow time. For centre bearing removal, I do it this way: Remove exhaust and heat shield, you will need to give the shield a good old wiggle to get it over the rear of the front down pipes. MARK A LINE ALONG THE JOINTS IN THE PROP AND THE GEARBOX to allow for realignment. The car will obviously be up in the air with handbrake on. Remove 2 of the UJ bolts, take off handbrake and rotate prop to get to the other 2 bolts,19 mm I think. Leave one bolt in with the nut on. Remove the centre bearing housing bolts x2, taking notice where the large shims sit x2 supporting the weight of the PROP. Undo last uj bolt and split the PROP and remove the forward portion along with the bearing. I have been lucky with one bearing that fell off the PROP AND another where I had to tap it off, lightly of course. Let us know how you get on.
