  1. Agree with Sir Charles totally. It's a £300 car really. Have a good look around.
  2. Thanks all. Mrs is well thoughtfull! As well as tickets to Autosport International and loads of other bits; she realised I spent a lot of time on my back under the 6 motors we own and she brought me a lovely creeper/wheelie thingamegig. Cheers.
  3. Welcome matey.........enjoy. All the help you need is on here. The members will always try and help you out if you get in a 'pickle'.
  4. 8 Yrs NCB, £225 with the Post Office. They tried to put it up last year to £435 so I asked to speak to the supervisor about the steep increase. At first, she said it was because of the general inflation of car insurance. When I told her that I would like her to send my no claim bonus through the post so that I could change companies, low and behold....a price was agreed....£225. There are always ways around insurance, you just need to shop around a bit a talk to someone within the insurance company who has the authority to strike a deal.
  5. I know you do mate, and if I had the money spare I would buy your set. If the government decide to send me to the desert again for 6 months, i might be able to afford them. I will keep you in mind though; i might have a small win on the lottery, you never know!lol. Cheers
  6. Unfortunatley where the damage is cant be repaired. All the holes have been elongated. I was being towed and the wheel worked loose. By the time I realised what the vibration was, the damage had been done. As for you Vodkashots, you better not leave your car unatteded!!! Cheers for your help guys.
  7. .....one Alloy wheel. I have 19' Vortex evolutions/Zito Miracle alloys, but one front alloy is damaged around the stud holes due to the idiot I brought the car off leaving the nuts loose. I am desperatley trying to find either 1 replacement or 2 front alloys. Anyone had this issue before and apart from ditching the wheels, was you able to source 1 single alloy. Thanks in advance.
  8. I also agree. As long as the spoiler is prepared well so that once its painted there are no fibreglass riples, it will look cool and should line up with the rear of the bumper nicely.
  9. This may give you a quick idea of how the original spoiler would look.
  10. Will the bearing from a TT Auto fit on a Manual TT? Nice and easy question I hope. Ta
  11. Bit disappointed too be honest with you. I cant believe that if I sold my Zed I still wouldn't be able to buy that porsche. I wonder if he would take Part Ex. lol. I think a little Zed would be cool.
  12. Loving the look of that cockpit Groover, very nice and the steering wheel suits the car very well IMHO. Got me wanting one; and Father Christmas has just been....Damn it!!
  13. Well spotted matey, that was me in my new 'old girl'. If you had seen me 10 minutes earlier you would of seen me all over the arse of GTR............Well sort of.
  14. You have to be so careful with chosing a new colour. I used to paint cars for a living, sometimes the colour can take away 'the class' in a car and turn it into a boy racer 'chav' looking car. That blue on your motor at the moment looks classy in my mind.
  15. Just had a thought, if it goes wrong I'll have ya wheels, lol.
  16. As long as your careful you could tap the wheel itself. When you find a replacement bolt to fit, use 'Thread Lock' or a small amount of superglue on the thread as you put them in. Good luck and post a thread after you have finished them. Ta.
  17. You should remove the plastic. It could lead to trouble and flake off. Snap the heads off and get a slightly undersize drill bit and drill out (sounds aggresive) the rest of the plastic, use a reamer if you have one (Blind). Once your wheels are done look at Pro-Bolt. They provide almost every size and design of 'dressing bolt/screws.' They also come in a variety of materials. You might also consider screwing Threaded Inserts into the hole instead of 'Tapping' the holes. Look like lovely wheels; and if a jobs worth doing...........
  18. There was a thread about this the other day. Users were undecided whether the clean line of the Zed was best over the wide arch kit. I personally find the kits too agressive looking. What I would like to see is a kit or modification that starts alot further forward and gradually widens. Maybe starting at the door and only adding 30mm each side. Hell of a job though, and wouldn't want it in fibreglass, it would have to be a de-skin and weld job.
  19. Man......Just reading your lists. I have an idea we are all around the same age. I Can't believe no one mentioned the 'cheese' Top Gun; that's the reason I joined the Air Force, I thought my life would be like Mavericks; you know, get a hot girl with a hot car............I got a Nag with a Fiat Bravo, lol. Memories hey.
  20. Black is where it is, all black including carpet in my opinion. It dosen't date/age. Look in most modern cars and its black.
  21. Cheers, I'll give it ago tonight. Again cheers all.
  22. and bl*#dy stays down. I have changed the switch but the same intermittant fault remains. Sometimes it works and other times,NoT. Ant help appreciated.:tank:
  23. Oh dear, if there not fitted, you won't need the extension bar for the removal. ^^^^^^^^
  24. Hi matey, welcome to the club. Everything you need is here; how to spend your money, how not to spend your money, and when you don't have a choice but to spend money the best places to spend it. Very nice looking classic Zed.
