  1. Happy birthday Richard
  2. Nice wheels & colour. I agree, would it have been better glass?
  3. I wish! So let me take a look at mine!, March 2020 (covid time) New discs & pads all round. Full cam belt change. Auto to manual conversion + full clutch & light flywheel. All brake lines changed. Two oil changes. 6 new coil packs & spark plugs. Not sure what regular maintenance this covers ? July 2019 till today miles covered 3K if dry today then add a few more miles ? that’s life with a Z hay ho!
  4. Hi there, I found my Z through TC-V. com traders in Japan place there cars on this site, you find ur car, then negotiate a price though TC-V.com all negotiations go through them & it costs u about £50 maybe more now to use their service. they make sure the car your buying is genuine & the trader is legitimate. once agreed the individual trader books the car on a ship to the uk port u requested.. all the car documents are then posted to you from the trader. Ship arrives in ur uk port, now u get a company to get it off the ship for importing. this is not difficult as there are companies do this daily. So yes import tax + vat has to be paid then has to be MOT’d with engine number if I remember right. all can be done by yourself, it is daunting but as it takes 3 months for ur car to hit the UK ,u have time. Traders in Japan are very trusted in their information pm me if u need any more information

  7. Donors/Tesco Ashford. Aldi Hythe ?
  8. Its dry & sunny here so I am just off to Ashford & Hythe for a drive!
  9. I just think 15K for what he is looking for is optimistic. Even shocked at the way prices have risen.
  10. I cannot remember if I changed them over as it was a couple of years. tbh Andrew I was being lazy as it is only a 15 minute job to take out the hid’s Having said that I think it was a bit petty as I have used the same garage for the MOT since importing the Z
  11. Hi there, the cheapest JDM in Japan I could find - black LWB TT with M/T £15350 you can add another 3K on that when importing look at www.TC-V.com & browse through Fairlady Z 1990-1996 good luck with your search arthur

  13. Great thanks for the info, I’ll get it booked in, Arthur
  14. Rear, rear ones ????
  15. My Zed passed the MOT yesterday with the following advisories 1. near side & offside rear track rod ends have slight play (I can get) 2. rear fuel pipes at rear corroded! All pipes. 3. rear power steering pipe/hose slightly corroded. All pipes Are there any diagrams or write ups of 2 & 3 that members know of? Do they have to be custom made as I doubt they are off the shelf pipes! Any help appreciated Arthur
  16. Thank you for clarifying everything. Battery fully charged No explosion ?
  17. Thanks for that. l will put the drill away ?
  18. I have taken the battery out of the Z to charge it. always had batteries where you take out plugs when charging this battery I cannot see any vents & do not want to put on charge in case it explodes any help what to do?
  19. My Z failed because of HIDs fitted. Plus brake pipes corroded. One garage thought the MOT tester was harsh about the pipes. Changing the HIDs over is only a 10 min job. All bake pipes are now changed. Booked in Monday.
  20. Zed back in the garage to replace all the brake lines! I have enjoyed having the manual conversion done. Makes it more of a drivers car. I was a fan of the autobox too.
  21. Sorry for very late reply Gary ! Belated Happy Birthday. Art
  22. Agree with comments made, if it is as good as u say it is worth at least £200! I went through three auto’s & the cheapest was £350
