  1. Beleive me I've tried saying it to myself and it doesn't sound right. Ah well it don't matter much, as I never say 'owt anyway!
  2. I'd just change mine to Matt, as I don't even know how to say Matz, is it Matt Zed or Matts? Also it's a bit Boyz and I ain't in da hood. Unles I've got my nice Barbour Coat on.
  3. Is the Bedford Autodrome where Evo magazine test their cars? What was your best lap time, so we can compare!
  4. Tyre time for me as well. Just phoned 2 local tyre deales for 245 46 ZR16, and no f1's anywhere, not even in the Goodyear 2006 catalogue! Have had to go with Toyo T1-R at £96 a corner (inc fit balance etc), which should be fine, although I love the F1's.
  5. When you dismantle your old shocks to get the fittings off them, you can compare the springs directly, it's very clear which ones are which then. Although saying that, I took my NSF spring off yesterday, and it was 1/3 longer than the new one, i.e. completely shagged, but then it was 15 years old.
  6. Britax Elite. Tried loads, this is the only one that fits front and back. Doesn't recline in the back I think, because of the short seat belts.
  7. Great - thanks. Looks a bit odd, but it's done. Cheers, Matt.
  8. Does the front shock dust cover (boot) attach to anything at the bottom of the shock, or does it just hang free (doesn't seem right?). Thanks, Matt.
  9. http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/budget/budget_06/press_notices/bud_bud06_press02.cfm 175 quid. Phew.
  10. You can choose to be ex-directory. And it won't tell you who I live with, which is way too far IMO.

Not sure I get the thing about questionairres, but they are saying that they farm out details to 3rd parties worldwide as well. W~nkers. Just for interest I just looked up a girl from work who is really quite nice. Now I know her address, phone no. that she lives with a bloke and lives in a strangely named house. Creeeepy.
  12. Thanks Dave! A great read. Wasn't the one I was thinking of though!!! It compared both cars at the same time, including around a track I think. Not disparaging the great work you put in to put this article up though. Cheers.
  13. Thanks! Recently have had a couple of occasions where people have said the 944 turbo is a much better handler than the Zed. I think this article puts them right, ie can't really chose between them.
  14. I'm sure i've read a scanned in magazine artice with this, have had a look at all the articles I can find. May be this one according to twintubo.net: Automobile magazine: 11-89 300ZX-TT vs 944 Turbo Thanks! Matt.
  15. Thanks John -worked a treat. It's these little things that cause me all the bother! Hmm sound like the wife now..... Cheers, Matt.
  16. Just trying to do up the nut attaching the track rod bar to the hub assembly, but the ball keeps turning. How do I lock it? Thanks, Matt.
  17. Thanks Simon and Greg, didn't have time to look today, but that is very useful. Cheers, Matt.
  18. No - looks like a normal thread to me - unless I have the wrong part.
  19. Is it? Oh shoite. I thought the L an R side were identical parts. I'd best check.
  20. I've done the near side hicas arm OK. Now I've come to do the off side, and when I try and undo it, the near side always comes undone again, no matter how much I do it up, it's always the wrong one that undoes. How can I guarantee that it is the offside that undoes. Really appreciate some help. Cheers, Matt.
  21. S'ok, just got it. With me sprawled arse over tit and a sore elbow. Always seems a good idea to do these things yourself  I expect next problem in 16 mins. Keep watching.
  22. So I got my first shock off and assembled the new one, easy really. Now I'm replacing the hicas arms. Can't get the fecker to remove from the hub assembly , I've removed the nut OK. Any hints on how to do it? Just brute force???? :smash: I've only done my first shock so far! Arse.
  23. From this guide: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/rbagwell/rearshocks.htm come the attached pic. This is what my shocks look like at the top, it says remove the centre nut before you take the shock off, which makes sense as the actuator bracket won't go through the hole. But is this the centre nut that hold the springs on which other guides tell you to take off once your spring comporessors are on? Or is there another nut below holding the spring on? Cheers,, Matt.
