  1. It's happened... After all this time of staying on one side of the fence. The fence has broken and Un-FunkySi has escaped to the other side.
  2. Very good job. If I can say something though, it's constructive critism. You need to apply some TLC to the window strips. Against your now very shiny black car they look very light grey. I think if you dipped or renewed these it would finish the look of your car very nicely.
  3. Great news Vijay, I'm really looking forward to see how your car looks now after giving me sneak previews ;)
  4. Wow, that looks great. Anyone know where I can buy some of that ? Also do they come as kits for the seats as well ?.
  5. Now that's what I call polishing :)
  6. Thanks Danny I'll have a think about that, seems a good price for what would be a major improvement to the Z. If I get no interest in selling I'll take a set. I'll be in touch.
  7. This is what I was thinking. Knowing PHP and BB2 coding, I don't think there is a functionality in the raw build of the code that allowed single users to start thread but block replies from everyone else. The only way you'd be able to do that is get the mods to delete the comments at the end of a time period i.e. 1 week. But then that's causing loads more work for the mods. Having a new section for Members projects, enhancements etc is a good idea but I think it would be too much work to limit replies to project threads.
  8. Can I ask the price of these, including everything you need to fit etc. It's something I haven't got on my car and I'm still using the stock candles in glass. If I can justify buying them before I sell I may well order a set.
  9. Just for future refernece as well. Most water leaks will come from the drivers side when looking under the car. The matrix pipework even though it's pretty central located, if you get a leak there it will be in such a position that it will need to drip off the transmission before hitting the floor. where they are slightly off center as well it will always drip or gush in my case to the drivers side (unless obviously you are in an American import ;) )
  10. The knock sensor will retard timing, lower boost and fuel etc if it senses know but won't throw a code. Only a problem with the sensor itself will throw a code "34". So if you don't get a code 34, it doesn't mean you are not getting knocking, it just means the sensor is working well. Matt, once you sort the problem out, you'll be getting a lot better running and you will notice the difference in performance.

  15. Please send my regards to Diane. I have an IBM laptop with Case that I can donate if you don't get what you need. It's about 7 years old but still works well.
  16. It's been very well done, but I really don't like it at all. Good job though.
  17. I would also replace some of the pipes as well especially the water pipes. Heater Matrix feed pipes water inlet pipes & solid mounts Reroute the under plenum hoses to the outsides as these can be a bitch if they go You could also think about doing some other jobs before you put it back in: Rear engine seal, EGR blank off etc.
  18. South east is gonna have a christmas meet / drink / food on the 6th December. Would be good to see as many as possible there as I've not been to a meet in almsot 4 years... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=118761

Just 5 of us then ? Where's the christmas spirit. I'm gonna link this in General chat LOL. I'll probably get a spanking from the mods but it's christmas afterall.
  20. I meant to say just after 3500 rpm ;) So what are the guys hitting desired boost at 2500 running ?. Look back at my old dyno graphs when I had stock tubs, I was hitting desired boost around the same place.
  21. Fook knows then, I haven't hit full boost yet LOL On the last rolling road I was only running 1 bar as it wasn't fully mapped. I start spooling up somewhere between 2k - 2.5k rpm. Ht full boost just before 3500 rpm
  22. That's a point. I may have misunderstood the question. I took it as when the turbo's start to spool. Not when I hit full boost.
  23. I got them cheaper than I should have done ;). Can't remember the exact price as I bought a load of stuff all together. I didn't pay any tax.
  24. 2500rpm with JWT5300bb's, GD manifolds and downpipes.
