Help injector problems
John, Thanks for the number mate, also what's an after lift ?. Paul, To do this I would need to take an injector from maybe chamber 4 and put it in chamber two to test. Although the injectors are universal I don't think I can just plug another injector connector from say number 4 onto this number 2 injector. Is this what you meant. Can someone confirm that this can or can not be done ?

indiglo gauges
yes, your boost guage is in psi which is the equivalent to -14 to +14 kg/cm3 that the UK models have.

Zed probably up for sale
Hi Eric real sorry to hear that you are not doing too well. Wish you all the luck in the future and hope it picks up a bit. Your idle and hesitant problems sounds like a fault O2 sensor to me. But then it could be a number of things. Best to get Jeff at Zedworld to hook it up to a conZult for you.

Checking the compression ?. Is that something we can do ourselves (if so how ?) or do we need a mechanic with a special bit of kit to do that ?

Help injector problems
Ok guys, really appreciate your help. But I did some tests today. I've bypassed the Traction Control and the results are: 0.4 Ohms from the ECU side (disconnected) to the Injector connector (disconnected). The injector itself is 13.8 Ohms across. Which pretty much tells me that it either a badly clogged injector or the injector itself is screwed. I'm going to wait till I finish my tank of petrol which had about 4 lots of injector cleaner in it. Then if I still don;t see any change, it looks like I'm going to have to book it in. Some people say that you can dremel the front part of the Plem to reach the front screw holding the injector in. Is this a wise move ?. Shall I have a go myself or would you reccomend doing it the propper way ? P.S. Paul C, Thanks for your over the phone help today.

nice
Class Tony !!!! :D My missus would have just left the house and told me to sort it out when I go home from work. Even then she want to see with her own eyes that it wasn't in the house any more before returning. Then she would keep me awake all night for about two weeks with questions like. What if it had a partner here ? What if it laid eggs somewhere ? What if it comes back ?

Simon, Check my site for details of how to remove the old stock air box and install a new induction. The filters burf has are the standard flat replacements.

Taking my car apart. The Diary.
Nice work mate. Just goes to show what you can do with the right tools and a little bit of skill. I went out and bought myself a MIG welder last night. I got a good deal on one from B&Q. My first project will be making new rear speaker frames. We gotta start somewhere I guess, just as long as we make the effort to start ;).

300zx.co.uk FAQ section
Very good idea emero. But then I find that difficulty with the 300zx, really depends on the size of you hands. I had great difficulty in changing the gear shift bushes and the left side O2 sensor (cut my self silly), but no problems removing the air box and installing an induction kit.

dimensions of jap spec front no plate?
Well mines the same as a UK car. But then, you will have the '99 spec so I'mnot sure if there is a plate holder on the front of that. As far as I know it's only the rear plates that vary between models.

Satan's Toy
