6x9's
:D :D I'm always keen to help anyone so here's what I'll do. If you want to send me your rear speaker brackets and the template for the speakers your want to put in the back(i.e. the carboard ring that should come on the box). I'll make to you some new 6x9 backets out of your old 6x4 ones. All I ask is that you pay the P&P each way :D.

6x9's
£260 Cheeky gits  . And they are cheating. They are raising the speaker out form the door by using the MDF (baffle board is just their way of making it sound good). This way they don't have to cut into the existing bracket. Still, it should sound good though. :D

6x9's
Mine is also a Jap 2+2 :D The guys who are fitting your 6 x 9's in the front will have to cut a section of the original speaker bracket out and weld a new section on. Do they know what ?. The rear 6x9's are a squeeze but they fit fine. On the passenger side I had to give the rear wheel arch a little gentle persuasion but there is nothing under there and you can't see it so it's not going to cause a problem. The 6x9's I put in are kenwood 3 way.

Tech question
Thanks Andy, The injectors come in three colour bands, Balck, blue and Red. I know the red band is post '95 but not sure about the other two. It works out about the same price if I order form UK nissan £120 + VAT than if I order form courtesy $164 + Shipping + Tax. There are a number of plates on the front of my car some on the passenger side which seem to be all in Japanese and one on the drivers side which seems to be blank. Should I be gettingvery worried around this time

Tech question
Are the UK injectors the same as the Jap injectors ?. i.e. if the year and model are the same. Also, where can I find the Chasis number and Model number (I think the model no. is GCZ32-506076, but want to make sure) ?

indiglo gauges
Sorry Stuart, I didn;t mean that in a snotty way, just reread my last post and it sounded a little moody  . Vijay, I got an idea, how about a section that you can cut out :D. Or is that a messy, stupid idea ?

Your ice setup
Cool, thanks for that simon. Never knew that. I didn't even know there was a sealed and ported selection.

indiglo gauges
Hi Vijay, I was thinking something along these lines with the missing stock psi and oil gauges.

works for me
Dam right !!! You gotta protect your Z. There's not going to be many left soon !!!

Your ice setup
The bigger the amp (i.e. size not wattage) The deeper or lower the base (i.e. frequency). I thought that was how it worked ?. Is this not the case ?
-
6x9's
They sound pretty dam good :). No muffling or vibrations which I was thinking I may get being such a tight fit. The 6x9's I have are 3 way so there isn't much base but then, I'm starting to put my amps and Subs in when I get my car back.

indiglo gauges
I'm not too bad using PSP (Paint Shop Pro). But when it comes down to it the king in Trey, and I don't think anyone can dispute that. Will the Z logo also appear on the Tachometer ?. I think it would be good to have it on both the large gauges, however it may look a little out of place on the fuel gauge. Also, sorry if this has already been covered, but would the manufacturer be able to leave the dials as a whole for some of us ?. i.e. quite a few of us have after market psi and oil pressure gauges and would like to hide the old ones ?. I know I will be getting after market gauges in the near future so I would prefer the covered type if we have a choice.

Dull Dash - fixed
To be honest I can't remember them looking very blue to start with, but they do look a lot brighter now :).

Turbo Hayabusa!!!!
LMAO !!!!. Must be hard  to get blown off on a bike. Not sure about the rest of you and I'm not trying to start the old "My Z's not fast post" but at 140mph in a Z really doesn't feel like 140mph in any other car I've driven. I have to use 140 as an example because all the other cars I've had would have maxed out a little before this. I was doing 140mph on a nice clear private road/track ;) the other day with a friend in the passenger seat, I said to him how fast do you think we are going, he said about 100 or so. There were no other cars around so I guess it's hard to tell, but I thought he would have got a bit closer to the mark. I mean 40% is a lot of difference.

6x9's
Some of you may already have 6x9's in the rear mouldings but just to let the rest of you know that 6x9's fit in the rear mouldings without any problems. You obviously have to make some new brackets up as they can't quite fit in the existing 6x4's LOL :D. I bought a sheet of steel from B & Q and used the original bracket legs. I welded them onto the new speaker mount and dropped it down slightly. You have to give the passenger side wheel arch a little gentle tap to make room for the base of the speaker, but there is nothing under there so unless you make a hole in it there's no need to worry.

Dull Dash - fixed
Hi Guys, Since I've had the car I've noticed that not only are the main light a little dull as we all know, but the dash lights behind the dials are also a little on the dull side. I thought I may have a light out or something but I couldn't see any dark areas from looking at the dials. The adjustable light dimmer does work and is set to max. I took my dash apart yesterday to fit my carbon fibre dial surround. I thought I'd check the bulbs while I was at it. All the main bulbs were working fine but I did notice that they all had blue plastic sleeves over them. I imagine this is a heat protective film. But I don't understand why it's blue rather then clear ?. Anyone know what these are ?. I've taken it off for now and will be waiting for my dash board to set fire while driving at night. It's one hell of a lot brighter and I can actually see the dials very clearly. Thanks
