    Is it a z32 model i.e. '89+ or a z31 model -'89 ?
  2. Aki !!! You the man. Been looking everywhere for this. I found the link on zedparts.com about 6 months ago, added it to my favourites and saved it until I got my BOVS i.e. Yesterday. Then I thought "cool, I've got a link for that and then........ Page not found WTF !!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!! ". James, I'll be taking the front bumper off tonight, I know I can probably fit them with it on, but.... 1) I got big hands and have lost enough blood over the Z, 2) I'm going to mesh the front bumper while I'm at it because I'm sick of bloody leaves and tesco carrier bags clogging up my fan and rads. 3) I got big hands  and fitting the BOVS first thing tomorrow, just before the car goes in for new injectors.

Standard Ramps are no use at all. The car is too low to get up them without taking the front bumper off. Which is about an hours work (first time anyway, after that its about 30 mins). I'm currently modifiying my own ramps with steel so that the 300zx can just be driven up there without any problems. You should be able to see whether you have a splach guard just by looking at the front bumper. If you can see any of the floor through the front bumper, then you haven't got one.

Hi Ammar, How's it going. Getting your car sprayed !! I'm not going to go into detail but this must mean that all the little problems got sorted in the end. That's great news. You keeping it red or changing the colour ?

That's a good thing, but you should also have some directly under the car. You have the two side ones which wrap under from the front of the wheel arches, then you have a front splash panel which attaches to the front bumper and the bottom of the engine mount, then you have another smaller one which sits just behind the sump tank. The front splash panel will be the one protecting your horn's (both of them). There is also a smaller splash panel which sits under your air box or pop charger (induction) which ever you have. If you haven't got these I would recommend giving AndyZ a shout to see if he has any 2nd hand ones going cheap.

Who's was the green N reg at the Brighton meet ? Oh and the oldest Z award has got to go to me surley :D July '89
  8. On the rev counter you have the red area i.e. 7. 8 & 9. The marks that indicate neddle position on these are shorter than the 1,2,3,4,5 & 6 Not sure if that's any clearer.
  9. SMW1 replied to a post in a topic in General Discussions - 300ZX Related
Can't answer that one but I can ask do you have splash guards on ?
  10. Am I being too picky if I say... I think it would look better if the rev gauge had the same length marks (and the half way marks) as the rest of the dial. i.e. a little longer. what do you think ?
  11. Anyone know what happened to the zedparts.com site ?. They had a really good article about installing HKS Super SQL BOVS. Since I have these now I wouldn't mind having a look at it. Anyone else know of a tech site that has this info ?. If not I'll have to use the apexi guide from tt.net
  12. Hi Matty, Hope you have a speedy recovery. I've got two people from my team off injured at the moment. One of them has a similar injury, but was caused by a high double footed tackle :0 Stuart

That's not good !!!. Well hope you are both ok, I guess the 200 is a write off ?
  14. Ok, if you take the rear speaker mouldings off, you will have a small 6x4 speaker sitting on a metal frame. You need to take most of the other panels off to get to this one, actually thinking about it you need to take all the rear mouldings off and the back seat will need to come out as well. Sounds like a wind up doesn't it, but honestly it's not. Actually thinking about this I may as well make up some fresh ones. Don't worry about sending my your old frames, just send me the 6x9 template you need. Contact me at admin@300zx-mods.co.uk and we'll sort out the address and P&P etc. It will take me a few hours to make these for you as I'll need to check them against my car. The welding is the easy bit, it's the cutting and the moulding of the galv steel that's a pain in the butt :D Of course you can ?

A brown three pin ???. you sure its the temp sensor then ?. Where did you see it in the engine bay ?. Here is a picture of the temp sensor and the dial sendor (temp)
  16. Aren't you supposed to get them cheaper in a group buy. ? These prices are the same as if you were to order from courtesy alone are they not ?

    Mungler YGM
  18. Looks good, but the red is a different shade to that of the Rev meter ?. They should be the same.
  19. Are we allowd to write nissan on them, just checking for legal reasons ?
  20. Yeah, white doesn't look right. Also there there is no Z emblem on the rev gauge ?

To be completely honest with you I wouldn't worry about Launch control too much anyway. I've only ever used it a few times and it doesn't seem to do much more than slip my stillen stage 2 clutch. The pull away is not much better IMHO. Now the b@stard thing has decided to limit my revs to 4250 while I'm driving. I got a feeling the connection has just slipped out of the TC box but ddn't fancy kneeling in the sh|t last night whilst wearing a suit.
  22. I like it :D Especially the rear end. Even bits that I don't like, like the MR2 rear tailgate build and the front bumper. It all comes together nicely on that car. Very nicely indeed. I hate the shark front end, but from that angle on the silver it doesn't look all that bad. Still not my cuppa though

Check my site for more info on checking and replacing them. It's hard to check doing a Mode I ECU Diag, best to use a conZult if you know someone near you who has one. http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/02.htm
