  1. just don;t fit it in the US place which is above the oil filter. because with a LHD you can get away with it but somneone on here found out that with a RHD car you are limiting your turning ratio as the steering rack gets blocked by the new sender.
  2. it is http://www.zxdriver.com mate http://www.zxdriver.com/sidesell.htm

    Got a pic ?
  4. What pads have you got and do you know if shims were fitted with them. The easiest way to get rid of the squeal, is take the wheel off and rub some copper ease on the lip of the caliper whnere it goes across the disc and also on the back of the pads. Don't put any on the pistons, discs or front of the pads though. Stuart
  5. sorry mate but that's bad news, there is a valve which sites inside the sump, if it's dented then that means the valve is pushed up even further thus reducing the gap that the oil can get through.

Yep I'll be doing the usual crate of fosters on Saturday and then telling everyone how much I drunk on Sunday while consuming 6 litres of mineral water.
  7. I love it, but then I loved the first version 2 weeks ago, it's come along nicely since then ;). Mike has put alot of time and effort into this new site and I would personally like to say "Thanks Mate"

    Hi dude enjoy
  10. Yes mate I know, I have a write up on my site about how to do it !. However I got one of my indicators wrecked when the transit hit my car so I needed to buy new ones (works out cheaper from Claude and for the sake of £6 he may as well clear them for me ;) )
  11. Right Guys, It's going to be an early start for the southern convoy. We want to be there for 8am or shortly after which means we will have to meet at the M40 around 07:15. So for those who are up for it please let me know where you will be meeting us. Meeting Point 1 - Lakeside Services - 06:45 Meeting Point 2 - Junction 10 M40 services - 07:30 Do we need any other meeting points ?
  12. LEts all just have a fight and get it out of the way, we can hve a tag team event at Billing, with or without the sumo costumes (although some of us don't need a sumo costume :D  )
  13. I use Magnatec and change every 3,000 miles.
  14. Mark, check with Claude on the e-mail address in the previous post, he may be able to get them for you.
  15. I also fitted both temp sensor and harness a while back. no problems here either. The loom is a lot more flexible that in looks in the picture. What you can do it take the insulation off around the connectors and cut the green sticker, then you can remove the plastic casing which is fairly ridgid and replace it with silicone hose, this will add to the flexibility.
  16. I'm getting my new indicators and fog lights from Claude Charest (aka Oppaman Z). He has the following available... Jpsec Clear Corner Lenses - $85US shipped Jspec "FULLY" Clear Corner Lenses - $95US shipped (come with free bulbs European Style Smoke Corner lenses - $80US shipped "OEM" Style Clear Corner Lenses - $95US shipped "OEM" Style "FULLY" Clear Corner Lenses - $105US shipped His contact details are as follows oppamanz@sympatico.ca He maybe able to do slightly cheaper prices if he gets some more interest. If you contact him tell him that Stuart Waterman recommended him and you are from http://www.300zx.co.uk.
  17. Sometimes it can fluctuate if it's right on the line between say .44 and .45, however you want it so it's pretty staionary as above .46 will change the idle speed to about 900rpm.
  18. I don't think it costs anything to watch mate ;)

I knew where I was going I just decided to drive around a bit and take in the scenery :D. 6 300zx's tying to do three point turns in a residential area was a little on the funny side. But then again 28 300zx's doing three laps or a round-about near boxhill was even funnier
  20. Simple. Drive the front wheels onto two lumps of 2 x 4 then jack the front up use the axle stands to support it. (make sure the handbrake is on and chock the back wheels to be on the safe side. Then all you need to do is take the oil cap off, then unscrew the sump nut, wait for most of the oil to come out, then take the oil filter off (next to the sump nut pretty much). Make yourself a cuppa while the rest of the oil drains out. Take the new oil filter out and run a little oil onto the rubber seal (this stops it from cracking and also gives a nice tight seal), Screw the filter back in, check the copper washer around the sump nut for damage (if damaged replace it) otherwise put the sump nut back in and fill up with 4 liters of 10/60 or 10/50. I personally use Castrol magnetec 10/40. Lower the car after about 3.5 litres of oil. Check the oil level via the dip stick, then fill until you reach the correct level. Put the oil cap back and start the car. re-check the level and top up if required. alternatively check here .... http://www.ttzd.com/tech/oilchangetech.html or here .... http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/engineoilchange/engineoilchange.html
