Yep I was going to suggest a vaccum leak as well. Vijay can still (as far as I know) get hold of a boost leak detector for about £20 odd quid. These are very useful to have as part of your Z tool kit. A friend of mines Z was in about the same position and turns out he was running 5psi rather than 9psi due to boost leaks. When you put your foot down does the needle go all the way to the right of the gauge ? (obviously don;t try it in this weather :D :D )

I used RS 0/40 when I first got my car and the next thing I knew my values were all fooked. I'm not saying this was the cause I'm just saying I only use Castrol Magnatec now. 10/40 and change every 3,000 miles.
