  1. Window cleaner is amonia based right ? Doesn't this damage paintwork over time or am I just being silly?
  2. Gives you more time to clean and fix :)
  3. It's just come to me. Rear winscreen wiper. I'm sure that's the other thing on that fuse circuit.
  4. As far as I'm aware, the Folding mirrors and the lighter along with something else connects via the same fuse. I'm not sure which one it is, but you can check them all via a multimeter if you have one. It's gotta be fuse related. Unless it's been tampered with after I sold it. Some people just don't know how to look after a car. I'm glad it's in good hands now.
  5. Yes mate, It's a Jap import so you have folding mirrors at the click of the switch.
  6. As far as I know the clutch was checked when the car stopped producing power(after trying to race from the traffic lights) Hi revs but nothing else. At the time I said to Gubbins that it's more than likely the driveshaft rather than the clutch./ He got both check to find that he's dislocated the carbon driveshaft, so I don;t think the clutch was replaced or worked on. I know JeffTT examined the car so it may be worth asking him for any work he did or checked. Did you not get any paper work post my ownership ?
  7. No it won;t have the SS clutch line on there. Never got round to it.
  8. Fook me someones been having a bit of a field day in that car since I sold it. I don;t believe it's actually done that many miles since I had it. This is what it used to look like.
  9. It should work without balancing, you could get a little vibration through the pedal or the car itself. But I can't imagine it would be that drastic. I'd just go with the clutch as the flywheel you can on there should cater for your power. Balancing is high level fine tuning. Most people don't bother balancing and just bolt stuff on. Anyone can sing a song, but few are in tune ;)
  10. Going on what you have told me. I don't think Launch control has been used since I sold the car. It's more than likely to have been caused by the previous owner to LEigh taking it to the nurgerg ring.
  11. Got it sitting on my desk now. Good work mate. Looks great. What's with the red arrows pointing to the tow points?. Do you intend to break down that often :D
  12. I know for sure the crank, pulley and flywheel where balanced at the time of the rebore. Whether they also balanced the clutch at the same time I'm not sure. If you say the lutch cover has also been balance then there is a possiblity that the clutch has beed done to match the flywheel etc. I think this is one of the reaosn the car felt so quick, everything was lightened and balanced.
  13. You can't clearly see the belts here but you can see the Brake servo hose top left of the plenum. Loads of other pictures of your engine etc in these threads. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=116935 http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=106216
  14. The pump will always whine when you first turn the ignotion on. If you can still hear it over the noise of the engine then as mentioned above get a new one ready.
  15. What sort of area is the hose in? Is it water, oil or air ? Have a look on courtesyparts.com as they usually have diagrams of exactly where the hoses come from and the part numbers of new ones that you can use to order from MJB in the UK.
  16. Manifold? Not me Dave, The only thing blowing on that car was the turbo. Never had any manifold issues with it myself.
  17. I'd imagine the picture would look very similar to this :) In terms of Jobs to do. I pretty much did everything I could think of at the time. I had almost a year with the car and no engine so had plenty of time to play around. All I can suggest is a good clean and maybe a tidy up and inspection of the wires/ looms/pipe and a good wash judging on how the engine bay looked the last I saw it.
  18. How about if I just get the software updates for you in my name LOL
  19. Plastic tyre man :). I still have the vid :)
  20. Ah sorry, I meant good dyno's that can cater for more than 530BHP :). Yes, we flat lined the dyno at 14psi between about 3100 - 5900 RPM LOL
  21. May be worth having a word with Silverbullet about this one. I've never done this myself, so any information I gave you would just be from what I've read. Getting it form someone who has done it themselves is always the better option.
  22. If you have sensors for the interior, you can disable these via the instruction manual.
