  1. Lol thought you might like those, the corsa is a choice model actually! Infact its an old picture but can I do one better...? MMM Tasty!
  2. Lol I remember that creature! I spotted the yellow mondingo in stirling hospital car park... I hope the owner was there to have his insanity fixed... It must have been a day for doing crazy people, as there were also these two on the same car park!
  3. Reminds me of this! :( Lovely!
  4. The life in that car can be calculated in yards... ;) LOL 750bhp at the fly I assume, not american horses are they??!
  5. Ah! My old one had a Mines chip in it, might account for its "reasonable" performance LOL
  6. Sure yours is still outside?? LOL
  7. Looks nice, whats up with the Mines ECU?? What happened to purchasing the black one? Or did that fall through?
  8. The gearboxes are similar but not quite the same as the bellhousing on the NA is slightly smaller so to use a TT flywheel they do require a small amount of grinding IIRC. Also you have to space the starter motor away from the flywheel because its of course slightly closer. As far as i am aware the gearbox is unique to the 300zx although I could be wrong!
  9. Nope! My Series 4 doesnt have a standard boost gauge. I thought for the 99 Spec cars the boost gauge was brought back though?
  10. Bleugh.. looks like my holiday is ruined if its true :(
  11. You have got to be shitting me! Have you got a link to where you have seen this Si?
  12. It has got the straight out of a rattle can look to it i must admit :S Its a nice enough car, but tell me what makes it drift spec other than the big wheels? Surely it rubs like a bitch as well? I like S14's although much prefer the look of the S14a, such a better looking front end.
  13. I dont think its quite as simple as that, there is a site called the elder geek which will have a guide on how to do this I expect. You will have to extract the bootable part from the CD and write it to the pendrive to make it something that the computer understands at such a low level. I'll have a google... Bingo here we go http://www.liliputing.com/2008/04/install-windows-xp-on-mini-note-usb.html
  14. Ahh Now all becomes clear! Such a real shame to see this mate! Really must be gut wrenching but at least you have salvaged all the good bits and you can restore that one billy had to its former glory. Look at it this way, youve now got a spare engine from the Grey one to get rebuilt into a monster ;) Good luck with the build up mate, if there is anything you want a hand with and I can help give us a shout, im not that far away and drive past bolton a few times a week!
  15. Depending on how old the laptop is the above methods will work. However older stuff wont understand external CD-Roms outside of windows or will they be able to boot from a USB memory stick. However, these earlier laptops without CD-Roms built in often had their own propreitry optical drives that could be plugged in so Id ask the owner if they still have that. The other and more risky/fidly alternative is that if you find a laptop/computer with the same basic hardware as the laptop your trying to reinstall for (basically same chipset/mainboard as the acer) swap the hard disks over and install windows onto that and there is a good chance that it will work once you swap the hard disks back over. I've had to resort to that in the past but its not always sucessful and should be used as a last ditch attempt!
  16. Is it an auto or manual? Air filters all clean etc? 80mph is a high cruise speed. I tend to do 65-70 and get mid 20's.
  17. Gullwing doors serve a purpose on the cars they were fitted to, its because of the spaceframe chassis used on the original gullwing that made it have a very high sill, which meant a "normal" door would have been difficult to use, the solution was to hinge them from the roof which gave it a very distinctive look but also made sure there was enough space to get into the car. It is however, a piece of engineering to solve a problem, not to look good! Although they look absolutly fantastic on the merc (not so sure about this one, but the original was amazing) much like lambo doors on anything else they look totally gash!
  18. All quiet on the western front for this at the moment, I have a bit of an issue as well, my parents have cunnning decided to open the garden on the 6th and I could do with being here to help out, is the stand still going ahead? Is it full and people that could take my place? If there isnt many cars I'll still come but if there is someone who wants to take my place then that would be okay, although a shame not to see the show. Dont know what to do!
  19. Haha to be fair, I didnt buy the car for the colour! If I had the money, it would be engine out, baremetal restoration and a respray in midnight purple. Although really if I had the money, I would be able to find a better example in Japan and just not bother with this one, make it into the track machine it deserves to be!
  20. They are cheap! Damit I thought I got my D2's cheap :(
  21. Tell me about it! She doesnt like silver cars so thats the main issue! LOL Which kinda makes me wish I had changed colour with the respray but then it would loook shit under the bonnet and that and all the hassel with the logbook and that.
  22. If it goes all out track machine then yeah I think I would, problem is getting Han to like it at the moment I dont think bucket seats would go down so well! LOL (one of the reason for leather etc, make it more like the M3 that she misses dearly!)
  23. Yeah true! Considering mine doesnt even have aircon anymore, although I have put leather seats in it now from series 1, just electric drivers! (It did have Series 2 velour seats both electric!) Its going for tracking soon might see if I can get it weighed while im down on the industrial estate!
