  4. lol silly idiot! End of the day rules are rules, lucky the copper didnt do him there and then, producer and change plates got off lightly I think. Id be very suprised if he even bothered to change the plates, £240 fine goes towards wasting everyones time!
  5. Ah bugger mate, real shame! Looks like they made a good job!! Cant believe thats the same thing actually lol
  6. Lol was that my flywheel that got lightened??!
  7. Hehe true, its a fair point! Lets hope its no ones on here!
  8. How much are we talking? I mean it could be driveline losses are higher in the other car? So gearbox oil and diff oil change might make the difference!
  9. Lol although perhaps not the best idea, bonny and clyde there with your fingerprints all over a stolen burnt out car!
  10. I wonder whos that is :) He's called Z32 i thnk
  11. aw dam what a shame :( Youve done well to tell the colour, looks standard as well original alloys etc.
  12. That flywheel no good mate?? Or you getting a fresh one?
  13. Depends what you call very expensive, coil overs can be had from as little as 5-600 quid, stock shocks work out around 350-400 all round (not bad!) and springs, well they rarly go wrong but can sag or crack so you could replace with lowering springs for 100-200 all round. Hardly ground breaking money, and I have to say if I was looking at a car which was boosting all new shocks and springs/coilovers I would be much more inclined to buy it. My M3 evo had original shocks and springs on it when i bought it, handled interestingly at speed put it that way, i replaced just the shocks with oem spec parts and my god what a difference. The guy who came to test drive it couldnt believe how good it was and he told me on the day it was the reason he bought the car, at good money too!
  14. Endless topics on this, do a search but basically cats tend to preserve/protect failing turbo oil seals. So when the cats are removed, the back pressure is lost between the cat and the oil seal so oil leaks into the exhaust causing blue smoke. Often on overrun, but sometimes at idle or on boost. Only option is new/recon turbos really which although it is possible im told to do with the engine in, its often easier to pull the engine out. As far as I gather its not that the lack of cat causes the oil seal to go, it tends to show an already happening problem (and perhaps shorten the life) Although im sure people with other experience will say different. My 95 TT is decatted and seems to be fine, no smoke what soever at anytime (a zed honest!) but it does look like the turbos have been replaced/refurbed at somepoint in its history. They are VERY clean!
  15. damit why do I even care! LOL Looks okay, to be honest though, like the 3gs is the iphone as it should have been released, not the 2g shite. The 4g is only just keeping up with technology. Its not introducing anything new, 5mp camera? SE 905 had an 8mp a year or two ago. As long as they address the truely appalling battery life - I have a 3gs as a work phone (infact most of us do) I have a colleague who uses it even more than i do and has had to resort to some awful addon battery pack that cradels the phone in order to make it last a day. Mine is normally dieing on its arse after a day, I quite often have to put it on charge midway through!
  16. Silver S4 LWB TT on an L plate :) My mate spotted you actually, eagle eye! I was too busy trying not to drop KFC all over the place. Sadly in a lovely white transit I had borrowed so you;d not have seen me :)
  17. Ah really? To be honest i might be taking rubbish - always like to tread carefully when thinking about brakes!
  18. I would be careful with expansion rates on the metal, if the iron caliper around the stainless piston expands faster than the piston then it could leak brake fluid, or if it expands slower then it could sieze.
  19. Was going to say, it couldnt be Graham... his car never moves!
  20. That explains everything!
  21. Ah this is an interesting one, as far as I can tell the calipers on face value ARE the same, but there is something different, either the hub or the mounting lugs on the caliper as the GTS-T uses 296mm Disks as apposed to our 280mm ones
  22. Bwhahahah! See my post above hehe
  23. Electrical gremlins can be the bain of these cars, dodgy sensors and almost as often dodgy connectors and wiring can cause all sorts of problems, where there really isnt a problem! Often best to try and clean both sides of the connectors and make sure they are nice and snug. Always nice when people have a quick easy fix!
  24. Aye its a fair point, Zedworld always been spot on with me so I'm sure they'll be with you soon! Looking forward to your car back mate?
