How fast
Depends on your speedo! Probably about 160 or so, get a satnav do 70 on your speedo and see what it says. If it says 65 then your speedo overreads like most peoples do if it says 75 then it underreads and you have a massivly quick car!

where can i find short term JAP car insurance
As in for a Jap car on UK roads or a car in japan? Surely its the same as any other car for temporary insurance http://www.dayinsure.com/ - or something similar. If your trying to insure something powerful its highly unlikely that you can do it. I know even if I tried to do day insure on my mums 523i they wouldnt let me do it, although that was an age thing I have to say!

Different place for your front number plate!
Surely thats a 99 Spec with a blended front lip???!

Turbos
On a manual engine they are both the same size, and on an automatic engine they are both the same size. Although the auto turbos are slightly smaller than the manual turbos, not really that noticable though. Quicker to boost! There should be no problem fitting the automatic turbos to a manual engine as the engines are the same)

How fast
haha yeh it is usuall the case, for every vehicle ive ever had apart from my M3 which was bang on (amazingly) but this 300zx is different, because its special :) lol really have to watch it as most over read by 5mph, mine under reads so my 75 on the clock is like my astras 85... lol

**HELP my tt auto wont go into 3rd??**

Quick tech guessing game
As far as I can work out when conzult reads the ecu the injector size (cc) is something that the ecu map knows, so assuming that the car has had a suitable chip fitted for its injectors then you should know the injector size :chinese:

How fast
lol its low down noisey and hard probably! (I am assuming its a manual, as the autos are 3 speed + overdrive!) Take it all with a pinch of salt though, 300zx gauges are not renowned for being accurate! Best way to tell is if you have, or can borrow a satnav that displays speed. Mine is the other way, at 2800rpm mine reads about 65, but I know thats a genuine 70. Motorway speeds did feel fast until i worked this out... Doing an indicated 70 one night and howling past the wagons... haaannnggg on a minute!

How fast
Is this in a TT or an NA? In a standard TT 2800rpm should be 70mph.

Ready for a slating....
I think the spoiler you posted there is a non active aero spoiler from an NA http://www.gtouk.org.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29338 - it does mention but not show the spoiler on there although it does show some different versions of 3000gt spoiler

Ready for a slating....
The base is the active aero bit I think. I get the impression that it sits into a recess on the gto? There would also be more than one model of GTO spoiler im sure. (I.e different between active aero and non active aero) I must admit im not a fan, I like the idea but it just doesnt really work for me on our cars.

Hmm 500bhp?! I would be wary about the claims of power unless they can show the modifcations to allow it to produce so much! Having said that it coudl be a genuine car with a silly owner. Around 1500 to convert, but you might well get some good money back for a working autobox (my first one had a rebuilt one in it when i converted it so i got £300 or so back for the box which helped towards the conversions costs)

Dont ever buy a 300zx and think you'll never have to spend money on it. It is true that the cats can hide failing turbo seals, but if its decatted and not smoking there isnt really any reason why it being decatted shold make it fail any earlier. Quite often when people decat and they get smoke is because the cats were hiding the smoke/leaking oil seals. You missed out with ZX-eyes car, few as good as that come up often. What budget do you have in mind?
