  3. I can't see why you couldn't do it? But i've not looked into how they perform them in any detail.
  4. If it was an stock N reg TT then it could well of been mine with its new owner.
  5. Junction 15, its like 20 minutes (in my zed)
  6. Give me a call on sunday i live just down the road in wolverhampton and i might have an hour spare to do them for ya.
  7. Thanks that clears that up for me! I'm assuming the longer half of the drive shaft should come away from the diff after its unbolted?
  8. If you have them pushed up they cut the windage a fair bit, it's abit deafing with the targas off over 50-60 anyhow!
  9. There's one in leicester near not that far from lincoln? Cheers - can't think what the name of the place is now!
  10. Isn't the earlier one of a smaller bore size than the later one?
  11. You've got a choice there's zedworld in tamworth or ztech (i think) just above leicester, both have good reputations as far as i'm aware although i've only ever used Zedworld. Ste
  12. Mjp is your best bet
  13. Yeah it has a cost cutting thing and they do bolt on, would be easy enough to drill a couple of holes to mount them. Ste
  14. Hey, Was wondering if someone could tell me if the NA only has 4 bolts onto its diff? And is the propshaft 3s71a in the online manual for an NA? And how many bolts for the prop on the back of the gearbox, the difference i'd see on the gearbox mounting to the engine - as i think i have a NA diff and prop shaft. Cheers, Ste
  15. If you can go to see it i would, there's no harm in looking. It could be well off and have been clocked but you would able to tell by listening to the engine if it had. Thats not alot of money for a manual TT, then again its a very early model so you need to see if the bodywork is sound. And the vibration sounds to me like the prop is slightly out of balance, if the clutch has been done then it might not of been lined up. If your not mechanically minded though either find someone who is or steer clear and there won't be any sleepless nights lol.
  16. The alarm would be good for over a month on its own from past experience. If theres alot of equipment connected there still a drain even if not in use, not to the same degree but it's akin to leaving your stereo on standby, would accumulative aswell if there's a number of items - most will have a continious feed and drain because of the resistance of the equipment it passes through. The alternator tops up the battery everytime the engines running so you wouldn't notice through normal use. HTH
  17. And make sure its off the floor on some wood etc to isolate it as the battery can ground itself out otherwise and it won't hold. Slow charge it for a day or two and then jump it in the car and leave it running it'll charge itself - saved a few batteries that way. Have you got an amp or other stereo bits that are draining the battery as my shortie has been parked up for a month or so and started first time on friday. HTH
  18. Not my field of expertise but i think the 32 bit is rarely chipped as the car runs the same on a 16 bit chip so will more than likely be a 16 bit if its socketed. Bear in mind mate that your new car is 4 or more years younger than your previous and sales of 95 onwards where that it was only fans of the car that brought them and as such will more than likely not have the nuts thrashed off it like the earlier models which were more of a fashion statement for alot, so the engines going to be in a better state. mig tips are easy to find if they're there pop off the the small wastegate vacumm hoses and they'll fall out! Would of thought they would of raised boost more than that but i guess it depends on the size of the mig tip. HTH Ste
