Hassle!
Nope... beer goggles were limiting my vision.

My Z Pics In Rides Section
Hold up... drop the suspension, add some big fackoff brakes, stick an SE nose on it, then go round kicking all the body panels... and that's my car, that is! Apart from the exhausts. Black 300 with RS-R's... good combination ;)

Who does this look like?
Hey, I really like that disguise kit! Where can I get one?

Mum, can I pinch your tights I need to modify my Escort
So these Corsa boys should also be adding (gold on white): Pretty Polly MHS own brand I can't think of any more. Be fair, they're only adding some hosiery to their piles of pants ;)

Hassle!
Yeah, a quality show... but I only saw mostly low-level stuff cos we were watching from inside Papillons ;) Ug, beeer. I was standing right in front of the one of the SAMs (were there two?) while two helicopters were doing their stuff - a firm lock on one of them for the duration! Top.

Hassle!
And this is one of the new gatso's on the front!...

SE chip
Yeah, or second hand (d'oh!). Really, I just meant SE don't use other people to distribute their stuff, so if someone's advertising it then they're taking the p*ss.

Hassle!
I only got my car back Friday night (wehay!!!)... I'm trying to run it in all carefully so I've been driving around in the middle of the night. 3am, I'm coming out of Rochford in a 30 limit and a taxi catches me up. I can tell he's getting the right hump cos I'm pulling off roundabouts slow as f*ck... he's up my ass, looking around me... then we get to a straight and he blasts past. A couple of hundreds metres up the road I see 2 flashes as he's caught by a gatso. Yeah, you really don't wanna get stuck behind me a the mo. Then this morning I'm on my way to work and a f'kin squirrel jumps into the road chasing what looked like a bird. I smacked me anchors on and swerved to miss it. It wouldn't have fit under me SE nose, so maybe I collected it for a while (comedy style). No guts in the rear-view. Dunno where it went.

funny looking remote found??
Probably a remote detonator left by the terrorist you bought the car from. Try driving around pressing the button, keeping an eye out for falling buildings.

SERIOUS warning!
Keep your keys safely attached to a ring through your bell-end. Makes starting the car more fun too.

SE chip
If it's any help, SE's phone number is: 01621 858856 Their chip should /only/ be available from them. If you get it from anywhere else it's a pirate copy.

Advice on run-in
3 times Warren, ffs?! You poor b*stard! :( Once is gonna be bad enough. I reckon, if I can keep calm, I'll get through this once and that'll be all I'll need. What's going on there Warren? Bad rebuild, or twitchy foot? The boost's set to 7 psi, but I /never/ get it on boost from cold for the first few minutes anyway - too paranoid about busting the turbos (I'm on set 3, no fault of my own). What's the thoughts on letting it idle after I've been out? Do I do like normal - ie., let the turbo timer sort it out? Or should I wait less long? As far as fuel goes... decent quality unleaded? It's not like I'm gonna be tearing about, so I don't really /need/ optimax, right? Seems a waste to chuck it away on slow (cool) miles. I get the whole thing about keeping the load on the engine light. High(-ish) revs does not an engine break! Andy, good guesswork ;) I've managed to get another week before it's back for the mapping. So I'm not so stressed about having to do hundreds of miles per day.

The New OS by Microsoft
I once got: The Internet is too big to fit in your trashcan. Which is nice.

Advice on run-in
Cheers Gio. Don't think I'll be attempting the Team Green method ;) There's some nice country roads around here that I'll be rolling around gently (much to everyone elses annoyance, probably). The 1/3 max revs thing... max revs being 7K? That only gives me 2333 rpm! I can't do 500 miles like that! 3K sounds safe tho.

BBC vs CH5?!
Eh, where? Don't tell me! Tell someone with broadband (dammit). So was you back in time to see Animatrix? I know there's a few episodes of that about on the net.

Advice on run-in
Well, OK. I get the feeling this is going to be a pretty horrible. There's me thinking I can just drop the rev limit, then not really worry. But if I'm gonna hold gears longer, with an auto-box, it sounds like I'm gonna have to keep an eye on the rev-counter the whole time. 3000 rpm limit seems to be the general concensus then?! Oh, man my car's gonna feel slow! Best to get it right tho, obviously. I dunno what oil SE have stuck in, but I'm sure it's cack enough. I'll find out later!

Repair Estimate
What's going on with the front /and/ back? You stuffed the guy in front, some guy stuffed you from behind? (all sounds a bit Graham Norton). I dunno about the bodywork, but you could probably get all the "bits" (washer bottles, headlamps(maybe), nose) from people breaking 300's on this forum.

BBC vs CH5?!
Right. I've got to see it. It's gotta be better at the cinema. But it's probably around on the net already.

How naff are seat covers.
It's an air-brake. There's parachutes and a weelie-bar on the back too. Don't be fooled, this mota runs low 5's. It's in "stealth mode" at the moment. I'd still ave im in me fackin Sierra tho.

Advice on run-in
Yeah, I heard that about the oil. Type of oil was another question (crappier the better, apparently)... but that's down to SE rather than me. I know they know what they're doing, but it's good to make sure. I dunno if my auto-box would ever change up if I set the limit to 3K. Where's the start of the mini's red-line? Maybe they're saying run in at half the limit?

BBC vs CH5?!
You cheeky b*stard! How'd you manage that? I really need better contacts.

Best way to con the AA?
The times I've needed assistance I've just rung and said: you won't fix this (and I don't want you to try)... send a low-loader, and make sure the guy's got some lumps of wood so I can get up the ramp. They don't fart around. The bird on the end of the phone don't care what the problem is either. Saying that, this is the old Green Flag, and Direct Line. Dunno about AA / RAC.

Advice on run-in
You're kidding?! It's being mapped in 1200 miles, so I think they'll be doing more than 3000 RPM. You're talking about a diesel Fiesta or something tho, right? (a woman-mota).

Running Costs
Euch... fuel is the worst! I was getting through 100 quid a week a while back! But since I've been driving this fantastic 1.8 Sierra, I reckon I've saved a fortune. I think, to be safe, you gotta have half the purchase cost of the car available for emergencies when you buy it. My head-gaskets busted first. And I had the turbos done. So within the first few months I'd done a load more wad. Then things started going downhill. Knew I shoulda bought a 928 ;)

Bloody tappets!
Umm... not sure you wanna hear! I don't think it was related (I had an occasional sticking valve too) but I ended up with two busted pistons, so needed a rebuild. They de-gummed it all during that. I think I was just unlucky. I could've put up with a bit of early morning clatter... but hey.
