should of mentioned that the hazards worked normally when the indicators didnt work. is the hazard connector still the likely culprit?

just happened to stop working today. Both sides and no indication lights on the dash. just happened out of the blue. Checked the fuse and it was alright. turned off and on again and didnt change. went to the gym and came out and was still happening. went to a scrap yard and back and still didnt work. went to supermarket and when i came out it started working normally again!! Works now but what happened??? pretty scary driving without inidcators, good job it wasnt dark so i could make arm signals. Makes you realise that most people dont bother indicating on the roads anyway. My digital clock hasnt work since it happened (as it sometimes doesnt) but still didnt start to work when the indicators started to work again. are the 2 linked?

following up my original post on this thread i primedthe inserts and chromed it with a can of normal plasticote. Simple and i think it looks great on my red zed. I would recommend it to everyone but wouldnt want everyone to do it as it is one of the things that make my zed individual!

manual boost controllers cannot take into account ambient air conditions. It would be fine if you installed it now with this nice cold dense air we have got but come a blistering hot July day (if we ever get one of those again) you will be spiking all over the place. get a Greddy profec. You wont regret it (.........well until you loose you seals becuase of too much enthusiasim)

i would definitely say try and take it for a good drive ever so often just to get the engine up to temp and turning and give the electronics a run through of juice. I have noticed my zed punishes me if i try to banish it for the winter by giving me elec problems and such when i go back to it.

going around one-way system about 8pm i guess. I think red or black soft-top with smoothed boot and square jap rear number plate. could be completely wrong as i was already a bit pie-eyed by then. I was crossing the road past the station on the way to o'neills only to be booted out of there by midnight.

sorry to hear that mate. a failed MOT is always a hammer blow. topless posted a thread a while ago about council owned MOT stations that only do the test not work so tend not to be so harsh because it is not in their interest if they can only do the test. It included a link showing you where your nearest place would be and some stats showing the much lower bills. I will be definitely be taking my zed there for the next MOT.

yep i got my V power club card yesterday too. register online and you get 50 free points. all the 'rrari stuff in the catologue they sent looked tacky so i will just be sticking to the money off fuel.

i wouldnt worry about it mate you seemed pretty friendly on the rolling road meet i came to. I think i have a problem with social impotence too but it is not about confidence i just really hate the boringness of the first few steps of small talk you go through when you first meet a person before you find the common ground and can have a laugh with them. I suppose the advantage of meets is that everyone there has the common ground of zeds to start off with and they wouldnt be there if they werent interested in their cars so i wouldnt worry that you will be boring them with car talk.

coming from the uxbridge road junction with cop shop on your left and morrisons on your right. Think it was black but didnt have time to notice anything else in the dark and almost falling asleep in the traffic jam i was in. I was in the red UK zed going the other way.

like others have said your bacteria can right itself pretty well. Have always been suspicious of drinking these "friendly bacteria" as the whole point of stomach acid is to fry any bugs that you might consume. I think they have got round that by saying it is the prebiotic that help the friendly bacteria multiply. I think it would be good stuff to have for a short period of a few weeks after taking antiboitics which clears out the good bacteria as well as the bad ones. Or if you are having any toilet problems it might help out. But once you bacteria stocks are up then there is no need to keep taking it. It could even be bad if it trains your body not to repopulate your lower gut naturally.

before you go out drinking or before you go to sleep? does it work everytime? The paracetamol method does and also makes you feel better and more lively than you would on a normal morning. I wouldnt be suprised if it is something else than the active ingrediant in the para that sorts you out because the is no way it would keep acting as a headache cure after 8 hours of being asleep/dehydrated.

i get the water and juice down me too but have an insaitable appetite for cup after cup of tea after a night out. I dont think the caffine in tea is a big of a diuretic as alcohol and i think it is good to get yourself to keep emptying the bladder to purge out the all the bad stuff your body is processing. I drink alot of water anyway so i reckon my hydration levels get back to normal pretty quickly.

not a discussion about hangover cures because i have tried them all and this is the only one that works for me. I take 1 paracetamol (dont know the quantity but the ones where you would normally take 2 for a headache so half basically half a dose) before going to bed and in the morning i feel absolutely fine. I might be a little dehydrated but that is solved by drinking endless cups of tea. This cure works every single time and has no side effects that i can notice. However, when i was mentioning this to someone they said someone had told them that doing this and mixing alcohol with paracetamol destroys your liver. I know taking paracetamol is bad for the liver generally but wasnt sure how mixing it with alcohol, which is also bad for your liver, affected things. I have found this scary article that says mixing the 2 can triple the amount of the liver damaging toxin gets released but it seems to focus more on taking large quantities of paracetamol the morning after to cure the headache of a hangover. http://www.metro.co.uk/news/article.html?in_article_id=67766&in_page_id=34 I am pretty worried about this as i pretty much do this every weekend so need some sound medical advice not alternatives or wisecracks. Im sure it will be ok because the liver can repairs itself and i otherwise am pretty healthy but need to know if my liver is in trouble or if i can carry on with my cure or endure immense headaches every morning.

dont know much about that valve im afriad although there look to be check valves downstream of the fuel filter so it might be independent of the pump and quite an easy job. Have you ruled out other causes such as old or dirty plugs, MAF problem, slight flooding of the engine?

Im not that lucky for it to be a quick fix like halfords. I think that will do a Mobil oil as their "premimum" choice. I think that will be my only solution to get some Mobil stuff. Obviously 5W40 stuff and i guess it will be synthetic too. what are the issues with mixing 2 brands of oil? I will have about 2.5L of the Silkolene in there so should i top up to high with another 2L of Mobil stuff or should i just put enough of the Mobil stuff in to bring it over the LOW level and top up with Silkolene ASAP when i can get some from the Oilman? It will just be one 100 mile journey that i need to do tomorrow before i can store it away until i can get hold of the right oil.

bit of a long shot but does anyone know where i can get hold of some silkolene pro-S 5W40 in dorset tomorrow (sunday)???? Done an oil change but knocked over the can (doh!) and now dont have enough! Even if anyone has got a bottle that i can buy from them or place an order with opieoils to replace first thing monday. heres hoping! Tom

I would find this useful too as my speedo needs some fine tuning after going on bigger wheels. Will be extra helpful if it it from a digital readout GPS for extra accuracy

wip it out (2 screws on the underneath) and check the connectors are in properly. Dont think there is a seperate fuse for it but that sounds like it could be the case.
