hi guys. mgh was telling me there was a way to set up the profec B so it gave you a readout of the peak boost on the screen for a couple of seconds. I have looked at my instructions i got with it but they are in jap so i have no idea. can some one explain to me how to do it? ta, Tom

yeah i had the same thing a few weeks ago. You have to change your password then everything will be ok.

burnt a DVD on my laptop for the first time the other day using Nero. Dead easy so tried to burn another one last night. Left it to run last night as it takes a while and when i looked this morning it said the burn failed but strangely the DVD-RW drive was completly dead and did not seem to have any power going to it and couldnt eject the dvd without the pin in the hole method. Any idea what i have done? have i blown the DVD drive or something else? I have removed the drive and found a replacement on ebay for £40 (panasonic UJ-840) but I wouldnt want to get it and find out that it isnt the problem...........any ideas?

want to back up some movies i have (legally) downloaded but have never burned DVD's before or even if my laptop can do it. The laptop disc driver (which is original) says DVD-R/RW and DVD-ReWriteable and on "my computer" the cd drive is listed as "DVD-RW Drive" so pretty sure it should be possible. The files are mainly AVI files and the blank discs i have got are DVD-R 120 min video 4.7gb data. Can anybody advise me how to start burning these files so i can play them in my standalone DVD player on TV? Hoping there is free software i can download and it is pretty striaghtforward.

hi mate. I have a profec b spec II that i would be happy to let you use but not really sure what part it is you need.

i use firefox over MS IE and find it faster, prefer the tab system and like the passwrod remember feature. The only thing i that annoys me about it that doesnt happen with MS IE is this. When you go "back" from a page, i.e. your reading this very page now and you will then go "back arrow" to the main forum or new posts whatever, it goes to the top of that last page not to the place you were previously on so you have to keep scrolling down to find your place. Is there an option to stop this happening or does the new version do it? MS windows explorer has the same problem which is a pain when your searching for a folder out of hundreds and have to click on it to look inside then have to scroll back to find your place.

I think i have found a pretty good deal that is now agreed in principle but if i email you our details and the details of the best quote we have got so far will you be able to run it through your computer just to see if there is something better out there? James, do you know where i can find any details about this development on the net. I looked at the council website but cant find anything obvious.

they are building some mega modern shopping centre from the where HMV is right over to the end of that strip oppsite the townhouse and going back to haven green but it wont be ready until 2012. sorry again from the nutsness of this thread, my collegues say i was looking a bit of a sight this morning humming and rocking in my chair as stared maniacally at my ipod clicking the skip button! yeah that is the same one as i saw. At least the guy who owns it is getting his moneys worth out of it and not keeping it shut up in warehouse. I liked the colour scheme when i saw it. Picture doesnt do it justice until you see it in the flesh.

Spotted on the A40 at about 7.30 last night london bound. First one i have seen on the road and it looked F'ing excellent!! Was it any of you guys on here by any chance?????? Would of tried to push it in my zed even though it would annihilate anything it is the only way to appreciate how fast it is but the average speed last night on the road was 3mph and it took me an hour to go 7 miles!

Just after a general nose about on the council website my girlfriend noticed that we are in a higher council tax band (D) than the 2 other flats in our block (C ) which has meant we have been paying more council tax. The block is owned by a property development and management company that we are renting from and although I haven’t been in either of the other flats it is impossible from the layout that they have less floor space than us. I called the management company and the woman that deals with our block was confused and thought all the flats we band D and said she would find out and get back to me. After 24 hours she hasn’t so I guess I am going to have to make another call. I think we are entitled to a refund if we have been overpaying (it is far more likely all the flats should be band C not band D) but I know the landlords are going to fob me off to the council and council will fob me back to landlord or far more likely they will say it is our own fault. We have been paying the council tax at this rate in good faith and have learnt about this by chance but I think the landlord should admit they had made a mistake and refund us the money or fight the council on our behalf. Where do I stand on this? Anyone know much about council tax banding and incorrect banding?

I am about to get some credit checks done by a mortgage lender for a first mortgage and a little uneasy about what they will find. what does the credit check exactly show? does it show only the current balance or the recent balance history? does it see major outgoings etc or just bottom line numbers?

deff not me but i did have to have a look at the window to make sure someone hadnt half inched my car! yeah those traffic works are a pain. I thought they were widening the road which would of been useful but when i looked on the TFL website this week all they are doing are improving the bridges and it looks like the road will be worse for motorists rather than better when it is finished. Those average speed cameras are 20mph (20!!!!!!!) but i am not sure how they work because there is only one camera so i cant see how it works out the average speed??? Anyway, not my zed and if not crotchrockets i dont know many others around here. there are a few that i have spotted but none that appear to be on the forum

not me mate although that is my area. Only took my car out once today at about 5 to pick my girlfriend up from heathrow but one look at the M4 and i turned back! crotchrocket lives in ealing and has a white one so could of been him.
