I was under the impression (maybe mislead) that if you had an uprated disc but used the standard pressure plate you wouldn't get a stiff pedal and the clutch engagement is nigh on a par with standard but with the uprated disc it can hold more torque ! But I do not know a lot !

Me Clutch started slipping, due to power I think as it was fairly new !!! I have bought a Jim Wolf Technology 700 bhp friction plate. Do you think I could use this with a standard Nissan cover or would I need a Jim Wolf Technology uprated one, I have tried e-mailing JWT but get no reply ! All helkp greatly appreciated. Olly.

I did this very thing and transferred the balance of one of my expensive cards to a 0% balance transfer but then spent the money I freed up on expensive card again, so watch out if your a bit of a spender like me lol ! Olly.

I would have said more like £5-6k seeing as it is very rare, short wheelbase and twin turbo and manual !!! Very nice. Olly.

Does anyone know what you do with the left over connections after de-catting, I have plugged the egr valves at the rubber end but what about the exhaust temperature plugs that are right in the cat, what do you do with these ? All help greatly appreciated. Olly.

I once got my 200sx towed by the AA. I blew the engine just as I was getting to cornwall as I was having a hols. (about 300 miles away from me). Parked it up where I was staying and left it till a week later when my holiday was up. Got the AA to tow it all the way home saving me about £800 in towing fees. The guy was so shocked that the engine was freezing cold even though I said it was running this morning lol ! I just blagged it and he didn't really care. They even had to swap over tow trucks in Britsol because thats as far as the first one would go ! Just take off the PTU, he won't even know what it is unless he has a Z and he won't get it started !

Not only does my missus let me spend my very last penny on me Z but gives me money towards uprated parts as well, it was my birthday last week and she bought me an S-AFC II , now thats quality. (she does get to drive it sometimes though !!!) Olly.

I was pulled over by plain clothes the other day for doing absolutely nothing ! They said I looked like someone who was banned from driving which is fair enough, they went past me with blue flashing light on the roof in a green volvo and went a totally different way to me but when I got to work they were right behind me pulling me over ! you can also get a gts-4 2.5 litre single turbo 4 wheel drive and the gts 2.5. single turbo rear wheel drive has about 250bhp standard so not far off the GTR. Olly.

I have an S-AFC2 ready to go on to my Zed and wondered if I could get an uprated knock sensor that will read all through the rev range or the range pertinant to a Zed. Olly.

With a turbo motor go large at the front because the gases are hottest and will flow very quickly and as they cool down, they begin to slow down and you can then decrease the pipe size down to the back to help speed up the flow where it will be cooler and slower. So go 3"-3.5" off the turbo's and decrease it to 2.5" after the downpipes to the rear. Worked very well on my 200sx with massive gains but lookout for your turbo seals as when you remove some of the backpressure the seals cannot do their job as well (unless you have hybrids with uprated or staggered gap seals) and you start to see smoke appearing ! The cats are by far the most restricting part of the exhaust and eliminating them will make a huge difference.

connect to the unix box using cuteftp or another ftp tool and youwill get a windows style listing of all the files, very easy to find the one your looking for then ! If you can't do that then you can use grep "filename" to find it !

You can use the fastest writers out there, I have a samsung 58 x 28 x 58 and the latest nero burning rom and as long as you do a simulation first and have a quick enough hard disk to supply the reader you never get a problem, make sure you use disc at once for audio or vcd/svcd and some half decent cd-rs, memorex 58 speed compatibles are only £10 for 50 makes them 20p each !
