  1. I'm just up the road to you Deve8uk and I have driven to Jimmers just for the coffee and banter...... and to pick up a transmission..... lol I have to say I trust him with my Z....... And I don't trust anyone usually to touch her....... Apart from Chrisbasildon....... lol Jimmer is held in very high esteem by a lot of people in the Z community......... Being a long time established specialist and generally top bloke helps as well........ When I get any major works done that I can't handle, it will be going to Jimmer...... What was it you were looking to have done work wise?
  2. what work needs doing??....
  3. Happy Birthday Dave.......
  4. It would be great to have you with us next year Andy.....:thumbup1: always space for another Z on the stand..... Next year we need some banners, drinks, food and a gazebo though.......... (MRS EL PRESIDENTE!!!)
  5. Well ABS light came on near home on way back from Museum of power show...... 8 flashes..... N/S/R abs sensor circuit...... so going to have a look when I swap out my front drop links for some new ones....... At least I got the code this time.....
  6. Hi Andy....... 2 of us were on the stand..... Myself and kgonzokia(paul)..... white and purple.... I had both my sons with me so spent most of the day by the zorb things, getting them drinks and food and looking round the steam museum...... it was a very good day out.... There was even some ladies in burlesque.......
  7. Happy Belated Birthday Chris........
  8. Hi Jack, this would work if it wasn't a rear wheel drive..... :innocent:
  9. Hi Joel, have you checked the Steering rack and rod ends for play?
  10. I'm going to try and get her to someone i know why an MOT station and get the brakes checked on their brake rollers and get it on the ramp to check arms, mounts, rods, etc... Thank you all for the suggestions and experiences..... I will let you all know the outcome.... with pictures if we find anything....
  11. I wouldn't use wire wool under the bonnet unless your removing the plenum and doing it away from the car...... Then making sure all the debris is cleaned off of the parts before refitting..... You would get bits of steel wool everywhere that would rust and get in absolutely everything..... This would be a nightmare to get rid of......
  12. Put me down....... Just checked and me and my boys will be there!! 1. KGONZOKIA 2. Veilside01702
  13. Hi Jeff, I Replaced the hoses last year with new braided Goodridge ones. It isn't the rear callipers as I can feel the problem through the steering wheel and brake pedal. I will try and get it to my MOT tester to see if they can find which side is causing the problem.... I had an idea yesterday..... I had a front bearing pressed in last year.... is it possible it isn't fully pressed in and making the front brake disc off centre, causing one pad to make contact before the other on a calliper? only thing I can think of.......??? Hi AndrewG, I checked all shims present, all lubed up with Ceratec brake lube on pins and contact points.... Hi Stephen, checked handbrake and all okay, adjusted a while ago.... Thanks for all the help..... this is proving to be a guess, check and rule out mission......
  14. MJP / Mike can get fog lights..... I bought a pair last year..... can't remember price though...... but remember them being reasonable....
  15. PROBLEM PERSISTS!!!!..... Grrrrr Still can feel one calliper grabbing when stopping and last to release as i pull away..... You can feel it through the pedal...... a sort of clonk as if pads stuck to rotor.... No issues when braking, not pulling and stops fine, just the last few mph till full stop.... So looks like it must be the rear callipers.....?? Can't think of anything else on the fronts as the callipers are now working fully, new discs, new pads, new fluid flushed through, brake system bled twice to make sure all air is gone.... Anyone else got any idea's please??
  16. Just rang them and have been told anyone going needs to pop down, Pay and pick up entry paperwork and tickets before Saturday.... Just need to bleed all the brakes on the Z again as they are very spongey again...... then going to get them when I know she will get me there and back....
  17. Well after stripping front wheels off I have found a few problems. OSF disc is worn more than NSF, pads look okay but OSF has a groove in it from disc lip. Checked NSF Caliper and 2 pistons sticking, one on either pad.... Caliper in bits now and fitting new pistons, seals, dust covers and clips..... Once refitted it will be the new discs and pads going on..... Then bleeding whole system again.... Hopefully it was dodgy Caliper causing abs to kick in.....
  18. Cheers Trev..... I had one go when I first got the Z.... but that was about 17 years ago and couldn't remember the symptoms.... Just looked and found the rings are NLA now..... Anyone know where to get all 4?
  19. Hi, I'm having a weird issue with noises like loose bake pads clanking, abs coming on when creeping to a stop, feeling on brake catch before the others..... I have had both front wheels off and nothing appears loose, pads seem okay, all suspension seems fine, yet it isn't right..... Today I got the ABS kick in as I stopped and a boing noise from the ABS pump in the back.... Brakes seem to work fine until the last minute when slowing gradually...... If I stamp on them at 30mph they stop, No ABS issue until it gets to under 10mph..... You can feel the pads on one side grab the disc before the others..... I had the ABS light come on earlier, but no flashing LED from ECU.....? I have new discs and pads to fit..... Anyone got some advice where to start? Reluctor ring, sensor, fluid, calliper / piston sticking??????? Cheers

  25. As long as he doesn't use Veet for men...... here's some amazon reviews....... 4.0 out of 5 starsNapalm in a tube ByRichardon 10 March 2018 Format: Personal Care If you want to remove that stubborn hair without sitting around the bathroom with a razor this is perfect. Ill start with the plus side. It leaves the meat and 2 veg smooth as and looks bigger for sure when your done squinting through the burning sensation. Now for a negative, if you enjoy the feeling of fire in the nether region along with feeling like your in a tourture chamber for being a double spy this is for you. After applying this and setting a timer for the set amount of minutes it slowly started to heat up. Imagine a sauna heating up in a small area and then turning into the sun in a matter of seconds. After 5 minutes the shower head was in hand with freezing cold water however this didnt seem to sooth the searing pain of what felt like a blow tourch with a acog scope trying to take each single hair 1 by 1. Once that failed i proceeded to run to the kitchen meat and veg in hand in a squatted position to stop it rubbing my thighs. As the freezer open the first thing that caught my eye was for sure the tub of chocolate ice cream. As i proceeded to lower my "affected region" into the tub the ice cream seemed to melt quicker than expected. This was only a short term solution was once the chocolate icecream melted on my manly parts i was shot of ideas. I guess this is when you decide your pain threshold has no more and thought a freezing cold bath could help. Unfortunately between walking from the kitchen my misses found me with tears in my eyes a dull expression and a chocolate dripping ding dong. If you want to tourture someone this stuff will do the trick for sure 5.0 out of 5 starsit kinda feels like someone is going over my balls with a blunt ... Byjamie proctoron 20 April 2016 Format: Personal Care|Verified Purchase Works well, avoid use on balls or knob, I can't describe the unimaginal pain i feel right about now, it kinda feels like someone is going over my balls with a blunt bic, this is no joke, don't do it! 1.0 out of 5 starsAbout as suitable for removing hair as a cheese grater. Except a cheese grater would at least remove the hair. ByChris Poon 19 May 2015 Format: Personal Care|Verified Purchase For 'normal skin'. Guideline to apply for minimum of 3 maximum 6 minutes. I have normal sensitivity in my skin, tried this as an alternative to shaving. First test patch left on for three minutes and rinsed off with cool water as instructed, up to 50% of the hair removed, no more than that, left with a slight burning sensation but not strong enough to attribute to more than being conscious of a reaction. Couple days later gave it a second chance and applied on a separate location for ~5 minutes again following instructions, up to maybe 75% of hair removed. However within 10 minutes of removing the cream start to notice searing pain, clearly defined blood marks around the hair follicles, both those with hair removed and those without. Final result - some of the hair gone, replaced by a slightly bloody and pussy 'graze', akin to a child running and sliding a bare knee over sand based astroturf. By the time the graze had gone the few hairs that had been removed had already grown back - far less effective than the description suggests regardless of the bloody side effect. Stick to waxing or even razors, really. 5.0 out of 5 starsThe *****cks I knew and loved are gone now ByWyvernon 19 September 2014 Format: Personal Care Being a loose cannon who does not play by the rules the first thing I did was ignore the warning and smear this all over my knob and *****cks. The *****cks I knew and loved are gone now. In their place is a maroon coloured bag of agony which sends stabs of pain up my body every time it grazes against my thigh or an article of clothing. I am suffering so that you don't have to. Heed my lesson. DO NOT PUT ON KNOB AND *****CKS. (I am giving this product a 5 because despite the fact that I think my *****cks might fall off, they are now completely hairless.) ON SECOND THOUGHTS......... posting a tube to Si now phutumsch ...... lol OH and one to ALIC for when he's old enough to make use of it........ lol
