fix accessory relay?
That will teach you to pick your nose with the wrong finger!!!!!..... Your right handed aren't you? And that looks like your left!!!! Plus it is the 'Of little importance' finger..... unless you want to count to 4 on one hand or 10 on both hands.....then your screwed.... lol How did you manage to do that???? Was it bike related?

Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
Today was finishing off fitting the side skirts ready for paint soon..... They are now fitted and ready for the bodyshop to prep and finish what I have started..... Here's the proof I actually did something on a Sunday..... :sweatdrop: So this week I will be refitting the rear wiper motor and arm as it seemed like a great idea, but wasn't so great in reality....... lol I also need to decide on rear spoiler or not.......... and if rear spoiler which one do I go for??? Or Refit the veilside one..........:whistling:

Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
Well yesterday I gave the sills a coat of Frost's Stone chip and sound deadening coating that will be behind the side skirts and not seen to protect them from anything thrown up behind the skirts. The side skirts will not be bonded to the car this time...... and will be bolted in place using bike fairing fixings with stainless steel dome head bolts..... These....https://www.speedyfasteners.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SF133 The thinking is they are rubber inserts / fixings with the captive nut and will stop any water ingress through the bolt holes into the sill or water getting under the skirting and sitting where they are mounted causing rust.... Oh and some lovely person has removed the centre wheel cap and loosened off 2 of the 5 nuts from the drivers rear wheel..... The car has sat on driveway since last July and I haven't removed that wheel till yesterday, so I know it wasn't an oversight on my part!! Now I need to check all 4 before i take her out for MOT....

Battery life - engine off, ignition on
It also depends on how often and far the car is driven to replace the start up draw.... How old the battery is also has an impact how well it holds a charge and discharges. Also the batteries CCA (Cold cranking Amps), Ah rating, alternator output voltage, condition of all earthing and wiring, etc. A website with some basic explanations.....https://www.autobatteries.com/en-us/how-to-choose-your-car-battery-replacement/overview

Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
I seam sealed last night so it would be ready to Tetra schutz today... Just given her a coat in the wheel arch and now ready for the MOT.... The rear quarter panel can be finished once I can drive her to a warm workshop so I don’t freeze my rear end off trying to lead fill her.... Just need to remove the polyurethane adhesive used to fit the side skirt to the front wing and door shut...

Cheers Dave, I have watched about 20 videos now on the theory and how old timers do it.... I keep rewatching them and picking up more and more advice and tricks they use before I even think about actually tackling it. I am currently making some panel slappers / bumpers for knocking out dents. These are formed from files to shrink the metal when knocking out low a dig has spots. Only issue is you can’t get to the rear quarter outer skin to use a dolly as it is double skinned. So guess that leading is going to be the best solution for me...- fix accessory relay?
Get on with it ya pansy!!!!!!- Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
Thanks Andrew..... It will look a bit different by then I hope.... :whistling:- Nice looking Z for sale near me....

Well due to weather I am not getting an MOT done till I feel safe taking her on the road again..... lol As soon as it gets a tad warmer I will finish the inner sill section off and get on with the Lead loading.....- Happy Birthday GRAMPADRIFTER
Happy Birthday old man :happybday:- Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
Well after spending the day with the headache from hell..... I only managed to get the underside of the car full sealed with Tetroseal.... I'm going to try some more painkillers and then jack up the car ready to finish the final bit of welding tomorrow instead... Aiming for MOT this week and finish the bodywork over the next few weeks in a nice warm workshop.... As long as she is MOT'd I can get to and from the workshop to get the bodywork done..... rather than cold, wet and windy driveway!! Oh and I have joined a welding course to get qualified..... lol- Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
A few pics of the end of today’s work..... Damn iPhone...... lol But you can see how thick the filler was on the rear quarter panel....... looks like it goes right up! The repair panel looks all dented, but it is the light and grey cold galvanising spray making it look bad.... lol- Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
Well today was quite productive..... 1) Removed kick plate, passenger seat and carpet (laid fire blanket above the area being welded), rear quarter interior panel, harness mounts. 2) Welded repair section across the chassis rail joint section (just behind passenger seat). Ground back welds. 3) Welded the final closing patch in the N/S sill.... Ground all welds back. So just inner rear arch to finish tomorrow. 4) Refitted all interior panels. 5) painted repaired sections with Cold galvanising spray. Tomorrow:- 1) Jack up rear end higher and remove wheel to access the inner arch to finish welding. 2) Seam seal the inner arch. 3) Spray the passenger side floor pan with underseal. 4) Strip all filler that remains from sill sections and rear quarter, back to bare metal ready to try lead loading.... - Repairing the OSF sill and floor!
