Ebay nightmare.....
Hi Batman, That is why I insured it for £300 when I sent it out.... just in case.... I thought the same thing about changing their mind when they see it on the car..... As they are responsible for it's safe return and the buyer said they could get it refurbished for £50 then if it turns up damaged it will be down to them to claim on their insurance...? Anything more than clouding on the topcoat and it must have been them or return courier.....? So will see what it looks like on return..... cheers everyone for the input.....

Ebay nightmare.....
I sold it last week...... He only received it yesterday and messaged me late afternoon.... so he did let me know within 24hrs of receiving it... Just can't understand how it can have clouding just from posting it....? He did say the bubble wrap was wet. I asked him if it is on the top coat or in the weave, he said he can't tell.... If it were me I would have tried to polish it and see if it was a smear.... I am guessing it is finger marks from when I packaged it.... but will wait to see.... These are the pic's I was sent .... This one looks like finger marks to me? Looks out of focus to me and I can't see any clouding?

Ebay nightmare.....
Nice idea, but I am too stubborn........ lol I have told him to return it, if it gets damaged on it's return to me then he will have to sort out a claim for the damage....:innocent: If I find it isn't damaged I have proof to ebay that he is trying it on.... I didn't offer a refund, but worded it that he can send it back for me to inspect it.... No fault then he can have it back plus the return postage cost.... spent all night thinking how to play this..... lol

Ebay nightmare.....
Problem is nowadays is if he lodges a claim and ebay do as they usually do and just rule in the other persons favour I get bad feedback, lose the item and they just refund them anyway.... So I have told him to return it for inspection.... at least that way I can see what has happened and I get the item back.... Also today I found out out one seller has done me for £60 of fake merrell shoes that I returned when the started falling apart and they have now not replaced or refunded them.... First set I bought from another seller were delivered 'Near your address' .... Ebay's wording after they ruled the seller had fulfilled their obligation by sending the item even though the courier used a fake signature and delivered it somewhere near my house apparently, but was unsure where about.... And signed it Ken.... then first 3 letters of my road name strangely and I also have no neighbours called Ken in my close... £54.99 lost.... So now I have no shoes and £114.99 out of pocket...... Ebay is now not fit for purpose.......

Ebay nightmare.....
Well I sold a second hand carbon fibre boot spoiler for another make of car that I was given.... It retails new for over $1000 in the US and £600+ in the UK.. I sold it in "superb" condition as it had no marks when I sent it out, checked, polished and nice and shiny.... for his offer of £250 delivered.... my buy it now price was £275 +£20 delivery Today I get an email to say the carbon fibre centre piece has clouding in it and he sent some out of focus / blurry photo's. Then he suggested I refund £50 to refurbish the carbon fibre or he will return it?? Is it me or is this extortion? I told him to send it back as the photo's he sent are no good, so I could assess the mark. He also claims it is rough in that area, yet I polished it and it was smooth and shiny with no marks...... My wife thinks he has put something on it and marked it..... but I will have to see when it arrives back.... Now I need to find the money to refund this as I got an unexpected bill last week and used this to pay it as I thought this was done and dusted...... This is just what I needed..... Any ideas as I can see this becoming a big problem.....

Custom stainless exhaust cat back LWB with 4 x 3' tail pipes
I have for sale my custom made stainless steel cat back exhaust by Quicksilver / London Stainless... It is 2.5" with resonators in the centre section as seen in picture taken under my car. There are 4 x 3" tail pipes from the 2 rear boxes. Made to fit a LWB..... Selling as this is too short with the veilside rear bumper on my Z, doesn't clear the extra bottom section...... In good usable condition, but could do with a polish..... This is quite loud and has a nice sound..... Unfortunately I forgot to record it before removing....

Veilside's work in progress
Well after careful consideration and weighing up of financial burdens..... She is being laid up again for the foreseeable future.... I am now looking to refurbish the 2 auto boxes over the winter as the kit is about $299 plus tax and delivery..... and I am off to the US next year for family holiday and goodies buying spree..... lol

SWB & LWB exhaust differences?
SWB has fuel tank under rear seats, LWB is under boot floor...... so the bends in rear boxes pipes are completely different... LWB models have the tail pipes coming straight But from what I have seen the SWB model allows for them to point outwards more on aftermarket systems.... http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=303015

9/11
I remember standing behind the counter in the car spares shop I ran watching the TV in the shop and customers just stopping and watching with us..... One lady just ran out of the shop saying her son worked there.... frantically trying to call him on her mobile phone.... I didn't see her again so don't know if he made it..... I just remember the sick feeling and everyone tearing up as they realised what was going on. Staff from other shops came in to watch what was going on as word got around as they knew we had a TV..... It was a weird day of disbelief and shock that this was really happening..... the world changed that day as everyone saw what happened on live TV and all felt helpless..... Something I will never forget! War suddenly stopped being armies with tanks and soldiers and became personal and civilian......

What did you do to your zed today?
Well today I checked the transmission dipstick and found the level was perfect when cold..... start the car and she screams.... transmission is very noisy now from cold.... Tomorrow I am jacking her up again, dropping the transmission sump, checking the filter, replacing the o'ring on the filter and removing the cooler lines to check for any blockage..... She looks sad sitting there on the driveway unable to go for a spin...... need to make her well again.....

Veilside's work in progress
Well she did it again.... got a few miles down the road taking it easy...... then all drive went..... now have a horrible noise sounding like the pump has gone in the auto box....... I have now had enough...... Not going to make JAE...... I feel sick.... No time left to pull the box and find the problem......

MOT - First in three years.
check the bottom crank pulley hasn't separated the outer section from the centre piece..... mine did this and it sounded just like that...... the give away was my timing marks said I was miles out using a timing gun... The dampener goes and it slips..... Just an idea......?
