  10. How did you pay for the work Si? Cash or card? Also social media such as Facebook is a good place to persuade someone to put things right by posting the photos's you did on here and tag them with the company that did the work with a detailed account of what happened.... If he won't put right his quite frankly 'Halfords DIY' looking attempt at wheel refurbishment, I would show all his potential victims, sorry customers what quality work he thinks is acceptable!!!
  11. I think telling him your unhappy and insist he either does them properly as he has been paid to do or he refunds the full amount as you have had to go back twice and all the aggravation.... You could always push...... Satisfactory quality An implied term in a contract for the sale of goods within the meaning of the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (SOGA). Goods are of satisfactory quality if they meet the standard which a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking account of: Any description of the goods; The price; and All other relevant circumstances (section 14(2A), SOGA). In addition, the quality of goods includes their state and condition and the following factors (among others) are to be taken into account in determining whether goods are of satisfactory quality: Fitness for all the purposes for which goods of that kind are commonly supplied; Appearance and finish; Freedom from minor defects; Safety; and Durability (section 14(2B), SOGA). For services it's under Part 1 Chapter 4 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  12. Nice one Paul....... Glad to hear you had success in getting her back on the road....... This just proves that the auto box needs as much TLC as the engines get........ and cleaning the filter should be part of your servicing schedule! They often get forgotten and thought of as something that needs no servicing and will just last till it dies..... I did just that and haven't changed the fluid since I got the car in 2001......... My fault she has failed as I should have looked after it and cleaned the filter and changed the fluid when I serviced the engine!!
  13. We could split the car between all the members Dave? I will take the N/S front wing, gearbox, pedals, etc and look after them very carefully for you...... ??? NemesizX will look after all the parts he needs very carefully.........?? Let us know if we can help you out storing it piece by piece.........:shifty:

  16. LWB import silver Andrew....... lol
  17. 1) I ran Transmission test. 2) I jacked her up and sat her on wooden blocks. 3) I dropped the transmission fluid followed by the transmission sump. 4) I cleaned filter and replaced o'ring. 5) refitted sump and started to refill with fresh fluid. Now sitting here contemplating colour options for respray........... Stay same colour or complete change?? Black or Red are preferred options........ lol
  18. try it and see.... lol..... I guess it is because of size and how fragile it is.......
  19. I'll give you £280, a packet of frazzles and a snickers bar.....lol Just shows how out their offers are.......
  20. Cheers NemesizX...... I spoke to Baz about borrowing one a while ago, just need to find out which one I have in the Z..... I did find a something weird today when looking at the internals of the original transmission and the one I fitted to replace it. There were 2 brackets missing that hold the internal pipework in place on the valve body? The bolts were in the holes where one bracket was missing so I took bracket off old box and fitted. The other one had a bolt in one of the holes, but nothing in the other hole and seemed to have a spring loaded something in the bolt hole?? so left it empty.... but now wondering why one had this and the other didn't? I wonder if this is causing a loss of pressure internally?? I replaced the o'ring to make sure, cleaned the filter thoroughly and found a tear in the mesh. I replaced with my old transmissions one after thoroughly cleaning it.... I am going to get her on the floor at weekend and refill with fluid to the correct level again, get her to running temp and see what happens.... This is what was missing........
  21. Mine is self explanatory...... Fitted the veilside kit back in 2001...... but as it is going...... I may change to 'Calfman' just for Bird.......... lol
  22. I was going to suggest Courtesy Nissan in the US.......... BUT.... shipping is a bit steep......... lol ORDER SUMMARY $250.04 FENDER, RIGHT Part #63100-30P60 Have a discount code? Click here Subtotal $250.04 Shipping $849.69 Total $1,099.73
  23. Drained the fluid and it is clean and red........ run a smile through a coffee filter pretty clean...... going to filter this and see what comes out over the next week.........
