ROCES size 10, Sims streetsnake wheels and ABEC 7 bearings, No shin splints, but did go down like a deer on ice a few months ago.... I don't run, I skate fast......lol

Nice honest to the point there........rofl.... I must admit to either MER, Autoglym or meguiars..... Tried loads of others over the years but now stick to these depending on the car... I do find some polishes work better on certain paints.... I will avoid Armour all shield though.....lol

Well I was coming up on Sunday in the Saab with one of our foster children who wanted to see the cars, but funding issues have now ruined my day out by the look of it......... I was hoping to meet everyone and thank some people..... Guess it will have to be next show if I ever get the money to finish my car..... Ahhh.... I been pulling......lol Is that why the gas wasn't covering the weld....? Back to the drawing board..... I need someone to teach me......lol I might go and see my sprayer and see if he can show me.....lol

I have tried different settings tonight and blew holes a lot......lol There is a switch for high or low power setting only..... So tried high and that is when the piece turned to swiss cheese....lol Put it back to low setting and wire feed at about 1/2 to 2/3 seems useable for me..... I tried the 45 degree angle and it worked nicely..... I am going to put some stickers on settings so I don't forget and can mark what works..... thanks for the tip.... Is it best to push or pull the weld? I was working from left to right pulling the weld across... I did try pushing from right to left and it seemed harder but the gas seemed to shield the weld better.... I am going to watch a few more youtube welding films....lol

I shall take the advice and have a fiddle with the power setting and move a bit faster.....lol Thanks ruishy1......

This is 0.9mm..... the back is like this..... I was practicing on the piece I bought to do the work and then decided to use for practicing instead.....lol Going to have another practice when kids in bed.....

I would heed the good advice given and go to someone who has experience in Z work..... there are some very knowledgeable people on here..... Not sure who is in the south, but I know Jeff TT knows his way round a Z blind folded......lol I must admit I would love to see him do an engine swap like they do in the VW scene under a timer......lol Bet it would be quick.....:whistling:
