  1. Well had a few issues with welder, namely finding out the regulator is leaking badly..... Replaced it with clarke one temporarily.... but has no flow gauge... This is my first attempt setting up power and wire speed..... This is my 2nd attempt that seems okay.... but going to have another practice tonight....
  2. Hi Acraig, do you have the website address where you have seen the one in Dorset? Maybe someone will know the car.... Russ ( I must learn to type faster.......lol)
  3. Oooopppss.... typical Rich.... I should have read the post more carefully..... Brain in fault finding mode and missed the short circuit bit.....:stupid:
  4. It should have done the fuse to the amp...... Usually does the eath track on the amps circuit board around the power supply section..... you will probably find a piece of the track has blown, clean up either side if it is broken with fibreglass pen to get enamel off. Solder a piece of wire carefully across break and it maybe okay.... That is if the track popped.....?
  5. Now that is why I joined on here, Nice friendly Zed owners who help one another! Nice one Lee dent and phutumsch...:thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1: Russ
  6. Sandy may swap it for a MQ-1B Predator........?:shifty::biggrin:
  7. I kept crashing out and may be coming off diabetes tablets due to weight loss..... so hopefully losing weight and getting fit might have put the diabetes on hold for a while.....lol getting rid of medical problems one thing at a time.....lol Plus the mums at my son's school keep commenting on how good I look now......
  8. CAKE......I'm on a diet you heartless b*gger............rofl
  9. Hi Gary, members pack arrived today thanks..... The 2 membership cards are 2 different numbers though? Maybe that is why I got 2?....lol 886 and 866.......
  10. I'm falling apart mate.....lol Check this list out..... 1) Chronic Cluster headaches - about 4 every single day for 10 years.... 2) SUNA headaches - about 20 - 30 a day..... 3) Spondylolysthesis of L1- L2 vertebrae 4) Asthma 5) Type II Diabetes 6) Carpal Tunnel - Both wrists operated on last year successfully..... 5) Cartilage in left knee worn out.... 6) Myzedofftheroaditis..........lol Best thing is losing 3 stone so far, asthma is getting better, Diabete's is a lot better, my knee doesn't hurt anymore, so getting fitter and losing some weight is really helping.... I put the weight on being stuck indoors for 9 years with the chronic headaches, losing the weight showed up the Diastisis recti or Hernia.... I know it was 2007 that i had excruciating pain in stomach, felt like I had torn all my muscles apart in stomach... But was 19 stone, so didn't see any bulge... I did what the Doctors said, took tablets, stayed indoors, let my illness rule my life.... Now I am fighting back and getting myself fit, slim and happy again.... Still have headaches, but live around them, rather than try to live and have them stop me.....lol So getting back on here and doing what I love.... Car's.... is a huge step for me.... But it stops me being stuck indoors depressed and bored....lol Sorry... gone off on a tangent.....lol
  11. I will do steve..... thanks.... Russ
  12. Hi, Just found this on a website I use.... http://www.ebuyer.com/169923-tenda-wireless-n150-access-point-router-extender-w311r- It looks quite good for the price.... What do you recon dicky96??
  13. Hi steve, had pre op assessment and went with my questions and concerns and they just said the surgeon doesn't make mistakes, so it must be a hernia... They were very dismissive of my concerns... The Op is on 1st July, just a week to go.... I called today and was told he is away on holiday and will be back for the operation when I called today.... We have the problem of the children and only my parents who are in their 70's to help every day, so going to be a nightmare... I spoke to the appointments department and they have kindly moved the operation to September to give us some time to get help with my 2 boys and to speak to a 2nd doctor for another opinion... I am going to try PALS and see what they recommend.... Thanks everyone... Russ
  14. Cheers dude, what's the worst that can happen?......lol....... I'm sure I am doing the right thing for the moment.....lol
  15. I tried GP and she said "only women get that!", yet there's info about it on loads of legitimate medical sites, even a video of a guy with it and loads of other guy's on other sites saying they were mis diagnosed as well... I just want to be sure they are right before I have to have general anaesthetic, 4 days in hospital and at least 6 weeks recovering and then find out they got it wrong.... I just keep thinking it can wait till I feel sure they are right....... At worst it is a hernia and it can be done later on.....
  16. Cheers Gary...... I must admit the thought of not getting the car done and getting to any shows this year is a contributing factor... I don't think I can handle another year off the road......lol I am going to call the surgeon again tomorrow..... Russ
  17. Well I am due to go under the knife on 1st July for a 'huge' Hernia from my rib cage to my belly button..... I have been told it will be 4 days in hospital and then a minimum of 6 weeks of doing nothing..... I saw the general surgeon who diagnosed this rugby ball shape that pops out of my stomach, every time I try to sit up.... as a hernia... He said he would have to open me up and couldn't do it laproscopicaly...... He left me with a lot of questions, so I looked on google about the operation and hernia's and found a picture of what my stomach looks like on google images... But it is called a Diastisis recti and not a hernia.... I have tried to talk to the surgeon, but he hasn't got back to me in 3 weeks of me trying... We would struggle with our 2 small children if I have the operation as well as having to cancel all the school holiday plans...... So I have taken the decision to cancel the operation until I can get a second opinion and we can get help with the children..... So at least now I can get on with the welding and rebuilding........lol
  18. ROFL.......................... Quality.......
  19. Of what Joel, me soaking wet? The shed? Or the operation?............lol
  20. spent all day building a 6ft x 8ft shed, got all frame made, floor down, roof on and then the heavens opened up and it and me got absolutely soaked......Hooray for an english summer......lol I need this to get my garage mess put away so I can get my Zed put away till I am back on my feet after my upcoming operation.... Please give me good weather till 1st July.....Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaasssse....................lol only 10 day's left to get shed finished, engine finished, welding done...... No pressure....... Come on sun....... Shine just for me.........lol
  21. I had a guy in the local ASDA getting abusive with the young lady looking after 6 of those self service checkouts. She was running around helping everyone at once and he started swearing at her in front of my little boy. Everyone stood there and looked at him but said nothing. I politely asked him to stop swearing in front of my little boy and got a torrent of abuse back, he also added that the girl on the checkouts was a F***ing lazy B**ch. He then rammed my trolley, with my one year old son sitting in it with his trolley very hard, made my sons neck jolt and made my 1 year old scream and cry.... Unfortunately, I saw red, grabbed him and threw him through a display of beer cans........ I looked round thinking, "what have I done!"..........I got a round of applause from all the other customers, a thank you from the store manager for sticking up for her staff and an apology because of what the guy did to my son.... The guy got up and ran out of the store..... He was about 50 years old, suited and looked like he was loaded... The security guard got it on tape and keeps watching it...... he say's it's karma and it makes him laugh seeing this guy go from rude aggressive and abusive to terrified........ I just wish I hadn't lost it........ but my son is everything......lol
  22. Just thinking dicky96 had plenum powder coated before engine fitted, was the PCV removed and refitted? I just kept thinking on track days some owners say they have oil dumped on hard cornering and smoke from one side..... wouldn't leaving oil filler cap loose on tickover stop positive crank pressure just to test if this is the case?
  23. Thanks for the support redwine300, mastercookieman, ruishy1, I appreciate the support, advice and experience you are all giving me.... Been off work, in and out of hospital and classed as disabled for 10 years, so unfortunately haven't been able to look after my Zed the way she deserved.....lol Been 6 years sitting waiting with absolutely everyone telling me to just get rid of her..... been determined to get well enough to get her back on the road..... and I am getting there finally..... Nice to have your support..... Thank you all..... I am so glad I came back to the forum...... Russ
