  1. I heard that, red bull is now sponsoring santa.........lol
  2. Let this be a warning to everyone.......Car covers are bad for your paintwork...... Silly me for thinking it would protect it......... Anyone want to teach me how to spray properly?...... I need to learn how to use a spray gun and compressor properly....... I have fallen in love with a new colour a friend of mine in the states has on his 350z...... Nissan Brickyard red....just posted picture on another thread......lol
  3. Nissan Brickyard red........
  4. http://www.autoshippers.co.uk/car_shipping_scam.htm
  5. I am jealous Joely P, mine looks like an advert for waxoyl........... the bit where it say's, "if you don't use our product your car will look like this!"..... Nice work though, but seeing as you also live in Essex, please stop cleaning and making yours look so nice...... I may actually bump into you one day and yours will show mine up..........lol
  6. Removed boot spoiler...... realised my paintwork has self destructed..... cried........ banged head on wall..... bought lottery ticket ...... Going to clean car in a minute......
  7. Mine with BT infinity......
  8. No way am I staring at this space till July Mark.........lol Got to stop now my eye's are actually bleeding, I need to blink.......:scared::crying::blink:
  9. Yep..... Got rid of it after the snow after it blew off the car for the umpteenth time........ It was suggested as a cause, but used it every winter for 6 years and this hasn't happened before...? I guess I will have to do that spraying course I wanted to do..... I have compressor, lines, guns. But was told I need something to remove moisture from air lines if I am spraying? I have a litre of colour and a litre of thinners..... Just need somewhere to paint.... I can remove the tailgate, bonnet, spoilers..... I need a respirator, strainers for loading gun and some clear coat that works with the paint I have.... I think it is De Beer paint..... sorry thinking as i type again....lol
  10. Hi Osty1, I didn't paint it... and it was done about 10 years ago by a guy who mainly does classic car work. He's top notch and was the first bodykit he did and the last.....lol He had it back 4 times to re do as he wasn't happy with finish..... bit of a perfectionist.....lol He's on holiday at the moment..... it looks like heat rash on your skin, rear spoiler and bonnet have literally millions of pin prick size bubbles like a rash all over them. where the top coat has blistered there are spots that I can see yellow primer through, like blisters have come from primer, through colour coat and made top coat bubbly..... getting pic to show you.....
  11. I have just noticed the bonnet, tops of wings, boot lid, boot spoiler, and roof are covered in small micro blisters under the lacquer / topcoat........ I have big blisters on boot spoiler and middle of the bonnet with lacquer flaking off....... Can't afford a respray now...... I have been told it may have been due to the breathable cover that has covered the car over this winter, trapping the moisture under the cover? I have also been told it may have been moisture ingress when painted, a reaction between primer, colour coat and top coat??? Strangely it seems okay on the sides of the car, only top panels..... Boot spoiler showing yellow primer through spots..... wondering if there was moisture in between primer and colour coat?? I am guessing, but don't want to have same problem again if I do win the lottery and manage to get this sorted out..... Looks like I need to learn how to use my compressor and spray gun quickly...... This was all i needed, all money tied up in getting her roadworthy..... :hang:
  12. Does anyone know a way to fit the intercooler hard pipes? As they won't fit through the gap? Do I have to drop the antiroll bar mounts? Or am I missing something simple?
  13. Hi Baz and Olliezx, I managed to find the bracket after an hour or so searching boxes, then spent another hour looking for the long bolt then another 30 mins looking for the adjuster bar...... Finally got it all together to find the pulley is a 3 rib belt and the main pulley is 4 rib.... I decided to use a 3 rib belt...... I hope it sits and runs okay.......lol Is this normal? The TT pump pulley I have is 4 rib, but not interchangeable with the N/A pump..... It is back to front and doesn't line up at all..... Is there a work around for this apart from fitting N/A bottom pulley???? Cheers Russ
  14. Time to go through the boxes and pray I didn't just bin it with a load of bits last week...........dohhhh Thanks Baz..... I didn't think they would be different....lol
  15. I have just dropped a TT lump in my car and gone to bolt up the original N/A pump to the mounting that came with the engine and it doesn't fit.......? The N/A pump is too wide to sit in the gap where it bolts up to..... I have also been trying to fit the hard pipes for the intercooler and want to know if they go through the small gap either side where the anti roll bolts on? They don't seem to fit the gap?? Do I really need to drop the front mounts to slide them through? To top it off I opened the bonnet to be confronted with all the lovely chrome gone rusty......... Not happy now....... Need some help........ Thanks Russ
  16. Mikey........YOU ARE A STAR......... A couple of pints with your name on them sir........lol let me know how much postage was...... Russ
  17. I fitted my Greddy profec B type II to my centre console in place of the std clock...... Did loads of research about oil cooler lines.......
  18. Not sure, but I don't want to risk it......lol I am guessing that it slows flow through the cooler so it actually stays in the cooler long enough to actually cool the oil......??
  19. Happy Birthday :rockon::happybday:
  20. Hi everyone, I have the oil cooler already fitted to the car...... I now have the hard metal pipes on their way...... I need to get hold of the 2 pipes from the oil cooler to the metal pipe work.... The return one has a restrictor in it apparently...... Anyone got these please???? Even an old U/S one so I can see what the restrictor looks like please....... thanks.... Russ
  21. Hi Lee, they're not my cup of tea really, I am not into hiding things....... I would re-route the wiring or just re wrap wiring and keep it clean and tidy..... Nice bit of heat shrink, new clips and cable ties...... Years of fitting audio and alarms.....lol I was taught to fit neatly and make it look standard as if it came out of the factory like it.......lol Russ
  22. Hi Bird, I think it looks nice and clean and not OTT..... Not too much chrome..... Just subtle..... How about a Nice strut brace???
  23. Hi Bird....... How about a VH45 engine in there........lol
