  3. rofl.... is that for when the the mother in law pushes it too far and the 6 ft hole is ready to fill?..........lol
  4. Run??..... I have a samurai sword ready for just such an occasion.......:ninja:
  5. Mine was a N/A auto and I had loads of fun in it for 4 years. But now doing TT conversion and joining the TT brigade....lol It wasn't flying off the line, but had loads of grunt... I used to launch in 1st and manually go through the auto box...... pulling out at junctions I used to end up sideways a lot.....lol straight line, mine wasn't on the spot burnouts, but launched well...... Best bet is see if anyone near you can take you out in N/A auto, N/A manual, TT auto, and TT Manual.... Best way to answer your question is by going for a spin.....lol Then you will be desperate for one.....lol Russ
  6. Welcome to the forum. I've had mine for 13 years now and will have it back on the road soon after some TLC..... I wouldn't sell mine for anything.... I nearly sold the missus to fund the repairs when she tried to make me sell my Z....... I am sure someone will take you for a spin and get you hooked...lol Russ
  7. I'm sure he mean't Autobahn..... lol........
  8. I like sitting in a corner..... nobody can creep up behind you and make you jump...... and you can see the zombies coming...... and they are coming.......lol What is it about cross dressing on forums? There's always one.........lol
  9. Unless they end up with 30 Jimmy saville's..... that would scare the crap outta any scouts or brownies in a 20 mile radius.......lol
  10. I can understand JaiKai wanting to warn others to be careful when buying items and making sure that you check the pictures closely especially for larger sums of money. I have done this myself and got caught before on fleabay.... I usually sign and write item not checked.... I don't think there is any axe grinding or public lynching..... Just JaiKai warning people to be careful what you buy and what constitutes New....... I don't think broken, bodged repair and sold as New is right, fair or nice.... I know all the members on here wouldn't condone ripping other members off would they? Only my thoughts.....:whistling:
  11. 1. 6 years 2. 6 years WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS..............lol
  12. Just to make clear I do not know if this has had stage 3 engine work done, just done some talking to seller who also isn't sure as work was done before he purchased it. He was told by a mechanic friend it has had work done previously and they found the ECU chip.... On this video at 1 minute 8 secs theres pic of his ECU...... that is what caused confusion as the chip says 'Turbo Z' stage 3 chip...... Chip Manufacturer was Turbo Z not car is a Turbo Z....lol
  13. rofl........ They had done foam towel with wings and loads of red paint, his mate went as a tampon with applicator ....lol
  14. Blimey mark that was quick....... you must know them off by heart.......lol
  15. How about a used sanitary towel?........ saw a guy do this for new year fancy dress costume.....he won first prize of a holiday..... they played Dr Alban it's my life...... Or is that too far? lol
  16. I think we worked out this had a stage 3 chip fitted. He wasn't sure about engine work done, but could well have had stage 3 work done with those figures before he bought it? This is a very nice looking car that he has poured some TLC into..... Definitely worth a look.....
  17. Hi all, I don't know any of the people being discussed as I am only just getting to make friends and know who everyone is. I believe there should be a trading ban if someone rips people off. Maybe allow them to try and make good, but don't let them trade on here until they have served at least a years ban. Maybe an arbitration panel? A group of long term members to look at disputes and impartially try to find a solution, something not linked to the committee, completely impartial? They could recommend a course of action to the committee and the member? If someone is abusive to the moderators and committee and shows a lack of respect for the guy's running the club and the people putting their time in moderating here for nothing then they should be banned. We are all here because we love our cars, have made friends, need help or want to offer advice and help. If you don't agree with someone, you agree to disagree. No point getting all personal and ruining it for everyone. That is why I believe a short term ban is appropriate, let the situation calm down and diffuse the situation. If it is a disagreement with a moderator over an issue or something personal then that should be looked at impartially by the committee to make it objective and impersonal. I have worked on another forum helping with free debt advice and witnessed a complete meltdown between the guys running the forum and over half the members, got very personal and very nasty. I left due to the atmosphere and joined a new forum without the back biting and nastiness. We had a laugh and things weren't taken seriously unless you stepped over the mark. I see this forum as being fair and listening to what the members want, or there wouldn't be this thread! As long as the rules are the same for everyone and we are all treated the same then nobody can complain. If people have a problem with someone then just avoid them. Everyone I have spoken to has been funny, sarcastic and to the point. If I don't agree I may explain why, but that is when you agree to disagree and drop the subject. I have not found ANYONE here that has been less than helpful, friendly and accommodating to other members. Sorry..... just wanted some input and to point out the good things about everyone here....
  18. Ahhh now we know what you really do for a living princeking..........lol bloody automatic spelling bloody thing changed princeking to pricking .....lol
  19. You need to talk to auto watch or Abacus alarms on 0208 677 1999 http://www.autowatch.co.uk/index.html It looks like it could be one of these or an earlier model.......... You maybe able to turn function off, but if Thatcham it is usually pre set with a temporary way of turning it off.... You will need to find the main unit and get model number to give the technical guy's.... Try manufacturer first and then retailer second.... AUTOWATCH 160 RLi Product Information AUTOWATCH 160 RLi Thatcham Cat 1 Car Alarm System THE PROFESSIONALS CHOICE Designed and engineered to offer years of Trouble free operation, this highly sophisticated vehicle security system will thwart the attempts of the most determined thief. Many comfort features have been included to enhance the Convenience Of the driver, in spite of this the simplicity of operation remains one of the highlights of the product. The system incorporates state of the art components and electronic design. The remote controlled transmitters incorporate the most secure encryption techniques available. No code is transmitted twice, rendering code grabbers and scanners ineffective - over a million billion possible code combinations! The main unit is one of the smallest on the market making it easy to conceal. Even if a thief locates the unit it is protected against attack by a rugged polycarbonate security housing. The Compact siren, housed in the engine compartment, is also a leader in technology. Conventional sirens are connected by wires that make the system vulnerable to attack. Not the 160 RLi. The siren is intelligent (microprocessor controlled) and communicates with the control module over a secure data line. Once the siren has been instructed that the alarm is "ON" - that's it. The wires can be attacked in any fashion. The moment they are tampered with, the siren takes control and starts sounding an ear piercing warning. Back up batteries within the siren protect the vehicle even if the vehicle's battery is removed. Don't try to physically attack the siren – it’s made of high impact polycarbonate and will resist attack even with a hammer! It can undoubtedly be said that the 160 Rli, uncompromised in quality, is the leader in vehicle security systems today. It enjoys accreditation by Thatcham in the United Kingdom and has been designed to comply with the relevant EEC directives Key features Simple to operate Two circuit immobilisation Two encrypted remote controls supplied Over a million billion possible code combinations Intelligent battery backed up siren with data link Central locking control (negative outputs) sunroof and window closing function - optional Courtesy light control option Early warning intrusion detection option Built in hazard flashers Anti hot-wire Automatic lock/unlock with ignition - optional Movement sensor isolation PIN override facility Now with two supplied touchkey override keys Dual button transmitter available for 2nd channel control (e.g. Remote trunk release) – option Remote pager output option Various other movement sensors options available Rapid test mode for installers Alarm trigger memory report Alarm status light acts as a deterrent to thieves Thatcham approval number TC2-906/0198 (Only Thatcham approved when fitted by a TRI approved fitter)
