Online retailer claims faulty goods not their responsibility.....
Well got this response from the website:- Dear Mr *********, Thank you for your e-mail. I have reviewed the call which took place on Monday, 29 July 2013 at 21:35 (BST) and would like to clarify the situation. My colleague did advise if no reply was forthcoming from the seller, to re-contact us and an A-Z Guarantee Claim would be filed in order to obtain a full refund. Please accept my apologies for the misunderstanding however you are ineligible to file a claim for the reasons previously stated. The appropriate supervisory department has been made aware of your experience so we may administer additional training as needed. We are aware of the European Directive 1999/44/EC and the Sale of Goods Act and have no intention of contracting out of any mandatory laws. I've forwarded your message to our team who review Seller activities as part of any investigation in possible violations of our policies. Although for account privacy reasons, we can't disclose the outcome of any investigation, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your vigilance and for highlighting this. Information received from our customers performs a vital role in maintaining the integrity and security of our Marketplace platform. We also appreciate your feedback concerning our marketplace policies and we have forwarded this to the appropriate departments for consideration. As mentioned, buyers that experience a defect with an item outside of our A-Z Guarantee time frame are encouraged to contact the manufacturer or seller directly for resolution. Once our Legal Department receives notification of the issue from Trading Standards, they will respond to them directly. Thank you for your attention to this e-mail. Regards, Esther Reynolds Executive Customer Relations So they admit telling me they would refund me, but are not going honour that promise as they gave me wrong information? How can a company offer a refund, then change their mind, surely if you agree to a resolution then that is what you stick to? Blood boiling again.... Breathe........need to pop out for some fresh air.....

Online retailer claims faulty goods not their responsibility.....
I can't believe that anything bought through a trader other than the website company only gives you 14 days to report the item as faulty and 30 days to actually return the faulty item..... I know I won't be ordering anything from them again after the email I got from their 'Executive Customer Relations' representative.... How many of us have ordered from this website under the misapprehension that our consumer rights were protected by the website, whoever the seller is through them... I thought you paid them, so they are responsible for dealing with any problems with their traders..... I was shocked at what I have been told, that a buyer has NO rights when buying from this site..... I am going to trading standards and will also be sending them a subject access request under the data protection act for all copies of phone calls they have recorded without informing me they record ALL conversations....... Grrrrrrrrrr...... sorry ranting again.... Need to calm down.....:tank:

Online retailer claims faulty goods not their responsibility.....
Hi, In November 2012 I purchased a Desk charger for a new mobile phone I got my then fiancee for christmas. This was purchased from the biggest online retailer named after a rain forest:whistling: The item went faulty and I have contacted the website who now say that it was sold by someone else through them and they are not responsible in any way.... On 29th July a representative of the website agreed to email the supplier and would give me a refund for the product if the supplier didn't sort it out..... Now the website claim they won't abide by the promise made to me the day before and NO refund will be considered... I have quoted the sale of goods act 1982 and been told that they are not bound by UK law as they are not in the UK, even though they are a .co.uk company....? The supplier claims to be in the UK, but replied to my emails at 4.34am??? I want to make everyone aware that not all .CO.UK companies are required to act under UK law and that certain Large Companies that you would think would protect their customers, don't actually do so.... I was shocked to read all the cop out small print and claims that ANY item purchased on this website has only 30 DAY'S to be returned or there is NO warranty....... I thought UK had 12 months on electrical items? I have tried 'be of satisfactory quality' and 'be fit for the purpose' and got nowhere....... I am furious, frustrated and now determined to stop this happening to anyone else.... Sorry Rant over..............

Rust holes in Floor / Sills...... Help.....Please...
Well didn't get to do anything yet.... But tomorrow is 'D' day. Have day to get the welding sorted out, so had a clean of the floorpan with parts cleaner degreaser the other day on some clean cloth and couldn't believe what came off where I thought it was already clean... Going to give it a buff with course emery cloth as redwine300 suggested. The floor looks polished now all rust ground out and clean. I have drilled a few holes on repair panel in places that I can try to plug weld and then start tack welding and joining them up slowly to stop any warping... I am also going to try to fill the holes I blew the other day with some weld.... and grind it back... Where does the targa drain normally come out? I can't find it anywhere..... I wanted to move it....

Looks quite clean in pics.... How far you got to go to see it? I wonder if anyone lives near the trader and can go with you? Definitely looks worth a look..... Don't forget to check sills and floorpan for signs of rust..... When was cambelt last changed? Any smoke on start up or boost, check oil and water levels.... check auto box is smooth... There are loads of people on here that maybe local and have experience of crawling under their own Z that can help....
