HELP. damaged the oilpan
What type of socket are you using, a 12 point one or a 6 point one. If the bolts are rounded can u maybee hammer on a 6 point socket and the shock of the hammer could assist with loosening it. Cheers John

FAO lahsx
Vijay what if someone is in a hurry for bits, they have to wait a week or 2 for the money to clear in the account then send the bits. I dont think thats feasible or fair when a small minority spoil it for everyone. Probably 99.99% of sales go through here without issue. TBH in this case am not sure if the guilty party works away as he seems to go through periods of activity then non activity. Still no excuse not keeping in touch with people if they have passed money to him for parts etc and they havent arrrived or been sent. I dont think there is an easy answer to this, I think probably the best way is as car mad says deal with paypal and not sending funds as a gift without comeback. I think if something like you suggested comes into force then people wont use the forum to sell stuff. Cheers John

blackberry curve
I have one for my business, 8900 one with the 3.2 mp camera, for me phoning, text and e-mail is what I mainly use it for, I have internet but havent used it much, also some of the apps are cool, facebook, tesco clubcard and ebay to name a few. I have had people say about I phone but I have recently accidentally let my Blackberry fall ina a bucket of oil at work and had a samsung touchscreen phone as a courtesy phone, man it was a nightmare, I know its not an I-Phone but am guessing the formats the same, Blackberry for me every day, I bought an 8gig card for it, so all my music pics etc are stored with out any issues. I think with vodaphone they offer a lesser model with a 1.1 mp camera and no flash but I took the better spec one. Cheers John

airbag prank
I have tears running down my face with that, but on the other side of that airbag if it exploded it would take his head off if he was holding it, have seen some video's of them going off facing the wrong way, goes up in the air by about 250 feet, have even had a lady truck driver come into our servide reception and toss an airbag on the desk saying it fell off the steering wheel, were all ran like fook, her, well she was non the wiser. Power steering rack failing... Advice pls
I have replied in your wanted thread as well m8. Before you buy a pump is it not better to check and make sure you dont have a leak, if the oil's low it will cause the pump to be noisey. Where abouts under the car is the fluid gathering. Below the crossmember where the lower links bolt onto, the pipes sit above this. All the advice is sound but check first before buying parts you dont need amd save yourself some pennies. Cheers

Emergency Budget
Good point Paul but in this crazy country with some of the crazy rules and regulations we have they would end up suing the govt like prisoners did for slopping out and got compensation, bet it would be against their human rights ffs. Cheers John

ENGLAND! why do put ourselves through it!
I dont think Terry deserves to be Captain, he didnt play any better than any of the others and nearly cost a goal with a slack passback, a good press conference doesnt justify him being captain, cant say who the leader is, Gerard was crap as well, hate seeing players (gerard) make a pass that doesnt come off then keep running like he is awaiting the return ball, then just stop and give up, not chase back. Cheers John

ENGLAND! why do put ourselves through it!
The game tonight was crap in some respects but I thought from the start Algeria played well, a lot better than they did in their first game. What about the Germans, won well against the aussies then got beat today. In my opinion the world cup has been utter crap so far, too much diving, too many over paid underachievers letting people down. Cheers John

Craig If I leave McGills buses, drive down the bottom of hill, turn right, down bottom of hill to the lights at the road to largs, turn left then about 500 yeards on the left up the side street is where i seen the car, about 500 yards before the roundabout I described so basically just off the largs road left side. Cheers John

Post Office greenock
Craig I turned left at the road that takes you up to Larkfield, onto the main road that takes you to the roundabout (left for town centre, right to take you up past the new school thats being built), heading for Pailsey it was on the left from memory sandwiched in between another 2 cars. I just seen the silver 300 and thought it was yours. Cheers John

Post Office greenock
Craig Dont know about the guy you spotted but I seen a Silver 300 just off the road heading through Greenock heading for Largs, I had just came from McGills up in Larkfield Ind Estate and it was sitting just off the main road in a sidestreet on my left, I am Paisley bound......was that you? Boost leak how crucial is
I am lucky enough to have a shut off valve that you can control the inlet pressure, then shut off the supply to it from the airline/compressor and watch and see if the pressure drops. Spray the pipes with soapy water and normally you can see the bubbles forming at the leaks, but if its that bad a leak it wont hold the pressure and in some cases when I have used it, the pressure hardly registers. I use this on inlets of trucks n buses I work on and had intended using it on my car as I had a boost leak but its getting broken for spares. Normally i'd pressureise it to about 0.5 bar to 1.0 bar. Fiat diesel van problems...?
Is it an electronic engine or is it mechanical? Might be worth while having it break down and use the AA to plug their diagnostic laptop into it if its electronic. If its a mechanical pump, there is normally a stop solenoid on the pump, check its getting power with the ignition on, does it have an immobiliser? Could be that that's packed in as well, when it starts after it has stopped starting, how does it start, like normal right away or does the engine run rough, if rough it could be air in the fuel, process of elimination, i'm afraid no easy answer to say exactly what it is. Cheers John
