Rebuilding A Smashed TVR
That would be a project and a half, but as i u say a full restoration is different, a shed load of time but worth it when u see some of the cars out there that have been restored.

Rebuilding A Smashed TVR
Wish u had done it lol and I dont think there would be anything wrong with keeping it, I have always loved TVR's over the years and tbh this would atm be my only way of owning one. A customer of mine has Cerbera, I am going to have alook at his this week as he has the engine out it atm to see if it enlightens me to the work required at the front end lol

Rebuilding A Smashed TVR
Dave for me how many cars have been advertised like a transit with a TVR engine and are up for saie for a fraction of the price thats been put into them, At least with this for minimum money compaired to a project that potentially every day is another pitfall like trying to fit an tvr engine in aa transit but still there is potential.

Thanks for updating my post Leo, lol, I have looked at Ultima's but they cost a fortune compaired to this as i'd do the work myself. An Ultima would be aswome though.

Gary Most projects like this wouldnt be easy doesnt matter whether its a damaged zed or a TVR, just looks like it isnt too badly mechanically damaged. Sounds like a missile Hollow lol

Rebuilding A Smashed TVR
From the link below has anyone ever repaired one of these, are the panels bolt on etc. Looks like a lot of car for not a lot of money, I know these cars can suffer from reliability issues but this looks like a good project as long as there isnt any chassis damage. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-TVR-CERBERA-4-2-REBIULT-ENGINE-/220816870648?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3369b60cf8#ht_1252wt_1396 Any input welcome guys. Why is TalkTalk so crap!!!
Richard I had major grief when her indoors changed our isp from AOL to Talk Talk, I spend loads of my free time playing COD on the pc online, kept loosing connection in game then would re connect, then someone would phone my house and i'd loose connection again, after phoning their help desk about 8 times over 2 weeks, an hour on hold as they were majorly busy all the time, now it has actually settled down and I do have a really good connection at all times of the day, but I feel your pain lol have been there. I think from memory when we initially signed up Talk Talk was half the price of AOL with twice the speed and as usual the salesman said it was great...... Hope u get it sorted. Cheers John

Any tech help before I take my van back and get stung my Merc
Technology is a wonderful thing until it goes wrong, have had that kind of fault a few times on the heavies, everything is linked nowadays and abs c an be the culprit for all kinds or weird faults, specially with auto boxes the likes. £277 isnt too bad for a dealer when there will be VAT on it but its still a nightmare and at least its sorted now. Cheers John

Could there be an ABS fault pulling back the power as it thinks you are skidding?

Laptop Help
Very frustrating this is, if I try to boot from cd it conflicts, I try to restore default settings, same thing happens, would changing the hd's and carring out a fresh install of xp pro resolve my issue? HD's are not that expensive and I can put them through my company. I wish everything was straightforward looool Cheers John

Any tech help before I take my van back and get stung my Merc
Are there not any local non-dealer merc experts that would be able to plug into it with Star and roadtest it to see if anything shows up rather than as you say £70 per hour at the dealer.

Laptop Help
Gio I have had a look in Maplins they only appear to have a SATA HD Caddy, you wouldnt have a link would you? Chris When the good laptop starts I can go to a menu screen that allows me options to boot from cd etc, I select that and I still get the conflict screen, I think maybee a proper boot cd would maybee be a better option rather than a xp disc but I still would have thought it would have ran. I have a dvd rom I can swap between each laptop so thats not an issue. Cheers John

Laptop Help
The 2 laptops are very similar spec's but as for windows 7 the software installs and runs with xp pro without issues and i dont want to create any more grief. The software doesnt really need high spec pc's to run them , the 2 laptops are 1.3 processors, 512 mb ram, 40 or 80 gig hd's. Cheers John

Laptop Help
Guys I have 2 Panasonic CF-29 Toughbook laptops, one a Mk2 whick keeps blue screening, the other I just bought which is a Mk3. My plan is to use 5 hard drives/caddy's with a fresh XP Pro install with different diagnostic programs. The issue I have is that when I swap the hard drives between the laptops, when I put them in the new one I get a conflict and the laptop wont start, obvioulsy as the xp install has been done in another laptop. I cant get to a boot screen for formatting the hd, is there a way I can format the hard drive only either in the faulty laptop or on the new one then install a fresh copy of XP rather than buying new hard drives. Cheers John

how to run heavy electrics on mobile vehicle?
You would probably be better with a split charging system with a battery in the back as well running all your electrics, I am going to get one in my next van. Am not 100% sure whats involved but I will ask one of my mates who is an auto spark and get back to you. As for PTO's, I spoke with one of the local McConachies tyre guys who has a PTO running his compressor on an Iveco he can get about 150 miles from a tank of diesel when its used a lot, not to discount it but something to think about. Normally he gets 400 miles to a tank. I dont know how long its in use. Might be worth googling it as well. Cheers John
