  1. Paid just under £30 k for a 6x4 m extension onto the back of my house but if you are gonna be doing the woodwork/sparkie work then it'd obviously be cheaper
  2. Spot on Steve, he had another TT when I bough mine off him, he wrote that off, bought another, sold that n bought a 350z after that I am lost lol. Cheers John
  3. Sad thing is my reason for breaking was purely financial as I am 15 months into being self employed with my own business so anything made from selling bits of the car is put into the business. For me 100% it is sad to break my car, it had a few rust spots wheel arches etc but it wasnt that bad, only the fact that i'd probably be looking at getting a grand or so selling as a complete car that the decision was taken to break. I have been looking about on ebay etc no doubt the future will bring something my direction, another zed, well I wouldnt rule it out. Steve I joined here is September 2002 approx and bought the car off a forum member called "Johnboy" in Maidstone, I got the overnight bus down to look at the car and had the roadtrip of my life driving all the way back to Glasgow, its hard to believe that time has passed. All the best guys and cheers for the replies. John
  4. My Car is finally away to the car park in the sky, I have a final picture taken by the wife as I was working, for me sad to see but hopefully in the future when finances prevail I will deffo get another. I have just subscribed but more than likely wont be around as much. I have wings/bonnet/targa tops/doors which I will list soon as well as a radiator and some other bits n bobs. Cheers John
  5. Happy Birthday chris have a good one m8 Cheers John
  6. I have Vista on my gaming pc, havent had any issues that havent been resolved as of yet, touch wood, I have xp on my works laptops again without issue so far, each to their own some peopel like some hate it. Cheers John
  7. My mrs went to Edinburgh from Glasgow on Sunday with her pals for a night oot, then get the bus back today, they are all stranded had to book into a B n B as all buses/trains off. The west isnt much better we had a foot of snow this morning, caused chaos, I have a normal 45 minute journey turn into a 6 hour nightmare, a wee bit of snow and look at us lol. Great feeling to get home aint it. Cheers John
  8. Check the basics again, make sure all your fuses are intact, trying to start with a flat battery could have maybee popped a fuse, so go back to the beginning and check fuses. Would spilt water maybee affect the Camshaft position sensor thingy, have you checked the plug into it on the passenger side of the front of the engine? Eliminate the basics first. HTH Cheers John
  9. Have just renewed my subscription paid with paypal jc300tt is the id Cheers John
  10. Is your car an auto, from memory there is a switch above the brake pedal for disengaging the CC, if its stuck on the wrong position it will stop the CC engaging, but wouldnt throw up a fault as its saying basically the brake is pressed and will stop it working. Best to get it checked out by soneone who knows the system rather than throw parts at it. Even if you had a wiring diagram it may help eliminate the simple things like the brake or clutch switch position. Cheers John
  11. Happy Clappers "I Believe"......love the 90's music, hahaha man i'm getting old!! Cheers John
  12. If you are unsure its wise to measure what you take out as a rough guide then check with the service info to see exactly how much should go in, too much oil can do damage as can too little. Cheers John
  13. Once the wing is on as people have said what if you need to replace a fuse, where they are is easy access and these cars being difficult enough to work on without hiding things away, I cant see the benefit of moving the fusebox, but everyone to their own, potentially you could have a major strip down to access the fusebox, removing wheels to get in. Sorry but for me 100% dont see the point in this, I would have thought a nice polished fuse cover in the engine bay would look better bus as I said this is my unimportant opinion and everyone to their own, practically hiding something like this potentially makes fault finding more difficult in the event of a problem and lets be honest nothing nowadays is 100% reliable. Cheers John
  14. Thanks guys have just seen this, got home from work at 7pm and ended up decorating lol. Cheers John
  15. Doesnt matter what u buy from snap on its expensive but there have been a few new ones listed recently on ebay. A 240v one would be of use and as you say for the money it will save time. Its rating is 450 Nm which is probably enough for most things on the car. Its never ending with what tools to buy, but they all make life easy. Let us know what you get and how you get on with it. Cheers John
  16. Depends on what its for, I have used a Snap On 18v at work on commercials on larger rusty bolts and even wheelnuts and loosened them no problem. As for a 12v I might be looking for one of them with less power for removing auto gearbox sumps/valve blocks, all 8mm bolts to save time. As for the other makes any people I have spoken with say the Snap on's are the best but you have the down side of the cost. I would like to think the Clarke etc would do a ajob for you if its for your car. Cheers John
  17. Doesnt matter who the manager is if he doesnt get instant results he will be hounded out by the media as usual, but people expect results so there is logic. There are too many overpaid underachievers as I call them, they have created their own style, ie am a celebrity now. For me being Scots as for the England Team, i'd say there are probably a lot of skillful, hungry clever players in the championship that would do a better job, they would want to give 100% for their country, not like the Terry's/Lampards etc that u guys have now. Time for change me thinks, with the money Capello is on as well he fits into the same style as the players for me.
  18. I had a single on mine, prefered it to the dual. Actually had the can made by C & C Exhausts in Hillington and we welded up the rest at my work.
  19. Personally I wouldnt use paypal as what happens when he gets the car, raises a dispute with paypal, so you loose the car, loose your money and end up with nothing.
  20. Anytime m8, if its easier drop me a text on 07717 228963 phone is always on, Cheers John
  21. Let me have a look, I might have a couple from the other car I broke. Cheers John
  22. What parts u needing, have just seen this, you are in Kilwinkie am I right, am in Barrhead and not too far from you and am breaking my car atm. Cheers John
  23. Me working with Commercials, generally the speed sensor supplys the speedo, the speedo supplies like the engine ecu with an output for speed limiter etc so am wondering if its the same as with the zed, its just something I get with the commercials, frickin nightmare to find at times but just a guess more than anything. Cheers John
  24. Is it possible that if a faulty speed sensor momentarily shows up the wrong speed could the speed limiter be cutting in (NA SWB=japanese import =112mph?), 78.4 mph = 125.9888 km/h, would this not pull the power back as its showing the car travelling too fast when in fact you are doing 15 mph or less?
