  1. Dont know if you guys have seen this before, but when going a bit quicker than usual, keep a lookout on whats following you, this was a copper on an unmarked hayabusa, part of the local sussex traffic police, very close to where i live, some 5 miles or so. at no point do i condone the manner of driving, but keep em peeled, and keep hold of your car a license. No probs on a track, but drive like this and your asking for trouble http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTC7UNGbKCk
  2. if the zed engine is maintained, well looked after and do the usual oil changes, etc, keep all the electrics in order, DONT drive it like a madman until its upto temp. There it will keep going, mine is on 132k now, i have all receipts and all previous owners details and as far as i can see, its original engine. yes its had the services at 60k and 120k, but it still starts on the first turn, purrs and boost's to 14psi. the engine is the best bit, just wish the shell was designed to last as much .
  3. OMG, the most amazing thing ive ever seen live, fantastic.......................
  4. Take them out and drop them in a carp lake like Broadlands near Beaulieu, levae them for a year or so and they will double in size, then i can fish for them.
  5. Haha Chris long time no hear, you leave black UK M reg zeds alone, shame it will be probably crushed or sold for next to nothing, then broken for bits, drop me a line when you can mate, would be nice to catch up. Stu
  6. i might know of a new one, complete pipe from filler flap to tank, is that what your after?? just waiting for a reply to a text. will post if i get an answer.
  7. WTF.... sonic's zed was at mine just a few weeks before, plus 2 weeks prior it had a full load of work at zedworld, was running spot on, and perfect. Too good a zed to break, barry would be gutted. Nice having it parked next to mine, looked like sisters, same colour, slight differnet mods, and only 150 numbers different on the vin plate.
  8. lol nearly as i want it, currently redoing all the leather interior, i spotted you zed from the end of the road its stunning. stu
  9. i passed your zed parked up today, in Pagham knocked at the house chatted to your step father, said your called Andrew, stunning green zed N65*** tein wheels, 99 spec lights sexy zed..... who are you??
  10. while looking through youtube, i started searching for the concerts ive been too. ive been to a few but the best ones by far are. Queen - Kind of magic tour 1986, 5 rows from the front. WOW...... Guns and roses - Milton keynes bowl 1993, half way back, dig crowd surfing, we are not worthy................. Bucks fizz, Club 18-30 reunion Bognor regis 1988, the funniest ever, i was on my mates shoulders, and said to cheryl baker i love you, she blew me a kiss Whats yours?
  11. My zed has been off road, sorned since march 11. so thats 18 months, due to the fact that i wasnt happy with the horrid side skirts, after taking them off it was clear why they were on. Over this time, what with saving for another marriage, and still paying off the old one. Things done Removed high level spoiler and replaced with new 89 spec. wheels refurbished Gewalt 18" split rims from black to alloy need to polish the lip better. All brakes overhauled with new pistons, seals and braided lines, new pads and disks. Fitted full japspeed system, with decats. New sills fabricated, but new oem inners and returns. replaced both scuttle panels with a perfect set that cost me £10 and painted matt black. New set of wings west style skirts, modded to be smooth. New kyb suspension New adjustable tension bars and upper control arms. New O2 sensors i have kept it polished, clean and tidy, whilst doing the welding myself, the engine is perfect and everything does as it should, all electrics are spot on, any little jobs have been done as i want to get it back to standard look, but with a few nice mods basically everything works. The sills have all been welded and seam welded where i can do it, have a few small areas of rust that is an issue due to be to close to a main support, nothing major, but a bit out of my league. I have a good friend who runs an MOT station, i wanted him to look over the welding to finish it off, so as i know the law (ex old bill) i rang and pre booked an mot with him. He checked it over and now i know how much i need to save up. Since doing the last dyno i hit 14 psi, ive sorted the O2 sensors and TPS, and made the engine better The trip to the mot was amazing fun, it goes like mad, sounds fantastic, and throws you back in the chair in all gears Nice to see people looking at you But his place is only 4 miles away, and for some reason i just clocked up 25 miles?????? Not bad for a very late UK spec TT manual, that cost me £................ Stu
  12. the little plastic bit that gets lost from the key ignition, presses into the corner. higher or lower
  13. Anthony, no easy way to answer this in any away, regardless of what happens, stay positive, for yourself and your missus, be strong and take each day as it comes, dont think about the negative sides, think about the positives. keep your chin up mate, if at any time you just want to let of steam, just do it, there is a cracking bunch of people on here, all will offer there own words. stu

  16. as silly as it sounds, i had this but could not find any location of a leak, turned out after heavy rain, it was holding on top of the plastic engine shield.
  17. ive lifted two zed engines, one was on ratchet straps, other on some seatbelts from a scrapyard. plenty strong enough.
  18. Ive just swapped over my seized UK front calipers for my spare jap calipers that fully work, tried bleeding, and the colour of the old fluid is a dirty grey in the the japs, but i renewed the fluid in my zed about 8 months ago, so thats fine, but with a neighbour that tried to help by pressing the brake, its not clearing the air, has anyone used easi bleed kits, the ones that connect to the spare tyre?
  19. MJP in the traders for OEM stuff, or a guy on ebay does them too, ive sent you a pm . stu
