Headlights
Totally the best thing to do, makes putting back on a whole lot easier, if your going to be seperating them to do the inside job, get hold of a set of Tamiya gears that are metal and change all the cogs in the lights from plastic to metal. Nice and easy to adjust lights. I got mine from Dan at DTA. I did a thread with pics. Stu

Whats the rarest thing on your zed??
Well what have you got that very few others have. Should be something that cant be got hold off anymore, or is very limited. My input. A complete set of deep pile fairlady mats for a lwb, in A1 condition. An under stereo cubby hole box, again perfect. and a pair of Chrome not plastic but metal FairladyZ badges for the front wings (believed to be of an original 240z or similar), posted on here if anyone had or has seen, but no, also never seen on ebay or any other sites. What else is out there that we havent seen before.

Bizarre headlamp/foglamp issue
Sounds relay related to me, in the large fuse box in engine bay, there are two relays a black one and a brown one. If you can get a spare to test it might show the problem. either way about £25 from Nissan. Stu

Targa drain problem and fix
Cool and another Sussex Zed!!!!!!

any ideas ???
Agree its probably the Maf, as your panel is vented it will suck up moisture. Clean the internal bit of the maf with some Ambersol contact cleaner and also the connectors.

Targa drain problem and fix
Further to my post re rear passenger footwell damp, possible cause a blocked rear targa drain pipe. There are many posts re drain pipe for targas but nothing for the rear. Firstly remove the targa, and the lower interior panel below the seatbelt, also it makes easy acces to remove the rear seat. Remove the complete seat belt mechanisim, to locate the pipe. This was the culprit, it should be a complete length, but mine was only a half, so would drain directly into the bodywork and out of the hole that should have the pipe through it. Something missed by Nissan i assume. The next bit is pain, using a 2mtr length of wire, i managed to feed this up from the rear of the drain hole in the sill, to enable a new pipe to be put in. Then slide the new pipe over it and it will find its way to where it should. The route it takes. I had some spare silicon tubing left over from my engine build, and works perfect. [/url]) After joining the two will a small bit of pipe, i tested it with some water, and hey presto, it does what it should. This process is the same for all the targa drain tubes, if the are blocked or not complete, they will cause you problems. Check em folks. Hope this helps someone. Stu

Anyone know about decent watches.
As part of my job, sometimes we have to evict some of our tenants. Usually after the court hearing they have 7 days to vacate the property, and any belongings that still remain are classed as rubbish after a further 7 days. When it gets this far im called in to clear the crap out. Now 90% of the time, its all rubbish. But this one was different. A tenant, that had been a naughty boy by posing as a doctor to gain credit, run up huge debts, and lots of other stuff, and done a runner. After clearing most of the house i find a watch in a cupboard. Looking at it, it is very heavy polished stainless steel, in a case with a certificate of authenticity, showing manuf, serial number etc, the back is engraved with the same details. It is a Brietling Navtimer, having done a bit of research, i have found a new one identical to the one ive now got. with a rrp of £2500. I have spoken to the manuf, and they confirm it is a genuine, but cant give an idea of price unless it is seen. There are only 4 suppliers in the UK, the closest being in Cetral London. Anyone know anything about BREITLING watches of Switzerland???
